@IwakuraLain42 Absolutely agree. The advertised discount needs to be honored, but if not, at least take the darn banner down and stop advertising "Up to 40% off Crowns" everywhere else.

@x_t7ink_x Count me among the upset. I feel like it would be only fair for ZOS to specifically mention the discount disparity and maybe apologise for how badly the sale has been handled for PS4 players. As a non-plus player, these sales are literally the only way that ZOS gets my money.

Very rare you get an apology.. i get its not a huge amount of money but its the principle

I will be skipping my usual crown-sale bulk-buy this time around, unless they provide the 40% discount advertised.
I have also sent Sony UK an email via their contact form, asking them to fix their incorrect discount.
I mean, surely there was an agreement between both parties that the offer would be 40% off!? ZOS weren't just being hopeful, were they?

I second this. It's just not fair. I know that ZOS, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom in particular, is trying to keep us updated and worked hard to get the sale up on UK PSN in the first place, but with the sting of a worse discount than every other console and region, it all seems a bit "too little too late".

Was planning to spend dosh but this has left bad taste so doubt I will.

Here's an interesting finding of mine.

On the Elder Scrolls Online website's official "Buy Crowns" page there are the links to the different crown packs, for the different systems.

When you click the links to the Xbox and PC stores, you're taken directly to the page for purchasing those specific crown packs for the selected system
EXCEPT
for PS4. When you click the PSN link, it IS a custom URL for a PSN listing for the crown pack selected, BUT the URL doesn't resolve properly and instead you're taken to the base game which is... 40% off! The game being 40% off is different to what we're asking about, as we've been advertised "40% off crowns".

Maybe what happened is ZOS provided the broken "buy crowns" 5500 crowns link to Sony for confirmation that there is a 40% off deal, and Sony's like "yeah that's confirmed", but ZOS doesn't know that Sony is talking about the base game.

It's come down to crazy theories. Essentially, what I'm trying to say is: Please fix the sale price

I tried to put a pose in the General forum to warn users about the sale price, but it was moved to the Crown Store & ESO Plus board and buried.

1500 crowns - 11% off
3000 crowns - 23% off
5500 crowns - 29% off

and I thought there was mention that Morrowind was on sale too. If it is meant to be then that is something else to haul Sony up for.

I believe that Morrowind was removed from discount during the course of this Crown sale, and that such was intentional. It's odd though.

Instead of fixing the issue with the UK PSN price being out of line to what was initially advertised, and to what is offered to everyone else, ZOS's solution is to change the wording of the Buy Crowns page on their website.

The top of the page in the International English site (i.e not America) now does not mention percentages at all, instead it reads:

"SAVE NOW ON CROWN PACKS!
Crown Packs are currently on sale - stock up while you can. Sale ends August 28.
To buy any of the Crown Store's special items, you'll need Crowns, a virtual in-game currency.
Crowns can be purchased in packs of various sizes, and you'll receive a discount on larger packs! "

The wording on the German and French pages also offer "Up to 40%" off of crowns.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Please tell us something concrete: Why on earth would you pick our specific platform and territory to exclude from the same sale on offer to the rest of the stores and systems? The same sale we're used to and have budgeted for.
Why is ZOS being so opaque and underhanded about it? This is terrible.
Please be more transparent, and please make sure our specific community isn't given the raw deal when everyone else gets a better ride.

What the heck @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?! What does this mean for us?

Will UK PS4 users not be given the same offer as other platform users this sale period? And why? Because of some major incompetency by either someone at ZOS or PlayStation? The fix shouldn't be to play this unjust treatment like it isn't a big thing, the fix should be to actually fix it! Make it equal and fair!

If PlayStation want a bigger margin for the 40% discount to go ahead, then TAKE THE HIT! You'll get more unit sales and customer loyalty if you do. The other option -which you are seemingly pursuing- is hurting the brand and ticking off a lot of fans. How many UK PS4 users do you have? You want to treat them lesser than the other users? Want to rub them the wrong way rather than look after them? Your behaviour through this debacle has been nonsensical and damaging.

Please tell us if there is any possibility that ZOS will buck up and agree on a 40% offer for UK PS4 users by 30th of the month. If there is no hope, then we will boycott. If tempers allow it, we will then call for a wider and larger boycott of future releases, because this is now more than the loss of an 11% saving; it's about the principal of being accountable for your mistakes and your belief that one fanbase can be treated worse than another.

I am not just furious, I am upset. ZOS has only been in my good books up to this point, and I have spent a lot of money on this service, only to be messed around and let down over something so petty as your inability to secure a fair discount across the board (and subsequent comfort at just sweeping it all under the rug).

For someone thats spent probably in excess of £500 on this game, played since release and has a facebook community page for nearly 3k EU members ive kept alive for the last couple of years im more than frustrated im just not allowed to swear on this page forum...

Also just to add ps4 users in the US are still getting the full 40% off on 5500 packs of crowns... really really getting annoyed by this all now!
