If we're going to rate guilds we are going to need metrics much more defined than "bad/average/good"

    What's a good guild ?

    - A guild that fills a lineup with highly skilled individual through hard selection ?
    - A guild that is able to align 24 man groups everyday and have the most overall impact over the campaign duration ?
    - A guild that is able to amount to much more than the sum of it's individual member skill ?
    - A guild that is doing pug leading on the side for charity ?

Edit : late realization i might be feeding a troll, sorry

A guild playing at Vivec ;)

On a sidenote. A guild which reaches that perfect combination of numbers, coordination, synergizing abilities turning it as close to unkillable as possible at any moment and against any opposition. There are a couple of guilds whos achieved that in various games, and in Cyrodiil. Ive had the pleasure of working with three leaders achieving exactly that. Ultimately I was burned out.

    @Aznox

Someone has accused me of slandering EP guilds on the forum all the times, but it’s actually not true. I just write about my experiences, and it’s always a subjective thing. Since you ask about feedback, I’ll give you some from my POV as solo player who fails dramatically at 1vX but still tries to go to different places than the faction sometimes (yes AD does zerg too much recently too, I acknowledge that, and I zergsurf after the 3rd time of a lost 1v5).

What I find most irritating about EP guilds on Sotha is that they’re so often just stacking on the same place. My experience is that once you run into DE, you’ll always encounter DI, Legion and possibly Loups also (or vice versa). That and the willingness to chase a solo player 5 or 10v1 across a distance is my main gripe concerning EP guilds.

As for your “rating” or impact I’d place Loups above DI and Legion and close to DE (only because they run greater numbers usually) although the play style is completely different. At least I find you aside the usual guild zerg hot spots sometimes, sieging Drake with 8 players for example. That’s not as efficient as a ball group would do, and you don’t have that level of coordination and cohesive movement. Stack on crown also doesn’t seem strict, as members sometimes break off chasing or doing their own thing. I like that though as I find these strict play styles to be very boring.

I’d wish the EP guilds would try more on their own instead of simply stacking, but that’s just me.

All in all it is what it is, and I have already said I made my peace with Sotha Sil (I’m playing less and less anyway). Have fun, and no harm meant.

Nice blue map every night and morning. Congrats DC. You can now go play with yourself.

lol, good one... you ZERG the map EVERY MORNING with +1 bar than anybody... The "Nice blue map every night and morning" was actually ONCE yesterday to set an example for your beloved Nyux's AD+EP alliance when they zerged EVERYTHING and took all scrolls and shared them around between AD and EP...

So we painted the map blue (with EVEN numbers, 2 bars each and then 1 bar each)... And most of the times we fought outnumbered in keeps and still got it...

Face it, red, unless your alliance stacks up in ONE place (which they do), with even numbers EP never stands a chance against DC... Cause we are used fighting outnumbered so we have to develop something more than spamming heavy attacks...

Other than that, usually we get emp with 2 bars each because, again, even numbers work to our favor...

Don't blame DC... Blame DE, Draco, Legion, Loups, etc that has made 95% of EP population mindless/inexperienced pvp-ers that stack up 30+++ to cap one outpost...

Mind you that yesterday, 2 bars EP against 1 bar DC you needed around 30+ minutes to get Arrius from us and with 3 walls open outter and 2 inner...

I do indeed play for the Dominion. And yes, I was venting my frustrations here. I don't mind loosing the campaign at all. And I wish EP was willing to zerg with us, but they mostly focus on us (Alessia is a hot spot). It's when we have the entire pop locked alliance show up at Alessia and then having DC's entire population show up at Roe, we all think "purple alliance". Once we regain just the home keeps in late evening, two hours later entire map gets PvDoored by DC guilds that only seem to play in he middle of the night. Maybe AD is a too much of a day time alliance? Anyhow. Congrats to all your PvDoor guilds for winning you another campaign.

Since this thread is pure entertainment and had some laughs, here are couple thoughts from me about Pact pug life:

    1. Yes, Pact loves the sieges. We would destroy keeps if it was possible. The reason for several breaches in my own experience is that when door/wall is down and leader says to push in, there is the leader and like 2 of us others going in, other 20 people are staying outside and watching the fearless pushers melt in oil baths and defenders damage haha. And of course no one did put camp. When we are already almost wiped, someone asks if anyone has the keep capture quest for that keep to share. "share quest plz". :p

    2. Pact is casual and friendly. Here one can get whispers from other fellow Pact warriors about what outfit you are wearing, fashion things, about cats and whatnot. Looking good when going to war is important to us. Again about sieges, but those we love so much that often we still fire at Bleakers at postern when mg already down and even when its turned someone still keeps firing up the stairs. We get our laughs from it for few minutes and then rush towards Aleswell. We love Aleswell as much as blues love our Chally.

    3. Pact feels bad for our enemies when we have to take their property. Leader says we gonna go south next then someone says: "poor yellows :(" since we secretly like our enemies, AD has fluffy khajiits and all. But then someone says again "share quest plz?" and that wakes us up from our fluffy daydreams and we ride south. Well after we checked if the colors of our outfits look good with our mounts. Someone is spamming that reindeer jumping sound restlessly. Finally we ride! "i cant mount" says someone and gets left behind and ganked at the bridge. We secretly like bridgefights even we pretend we dont.

As i often say: Pact is the best (and only) Pact. <3

Disclaimer: this is not any sarcastic comment or anything, just a bit of humor. Not so serious. I hope all players in every alliance have fun in the war. :)

Hey @Feanor, i appreciate the feedback.

Keep in mind that unlike a lot of my guildmates, I only enter Sotha Sil for prime-time GvG (21h-23h30) a few days a week so i can't talk about our play-style at other moments.
    Feanor wrote: »

Being in the same place as other EP guilds is definitively something we try to avoid but it does happen often.
There was an initiative to coordinate actions between several EP guild with a joint-guild for leaders to communicate, but i think the result was not really justifying the energy spent and it died out a bit.
At least I find you aside the usual guild zerg hot spots sometimes, sieging Drake with 8 players for example. That’s not as efficient as a ball group would do, and you don’t have that level of coordination and cohesive movement. Our prime-time group size varies a lot between 12-20, on the low side we might switch to single target build with looser stacking, but as soon as we hit 15+ it will be AoE with more strict stacking. That's unfortunately the only way to wipe another guild group outside of synchronized bombing.

I’d wish the EP guilds would try more on their own instead of simply stacking, but that’s just me.
I think multiple guilds stacking is often the result of size difference between opposing groups, when we're 20 and blue groups are 10-12 we can't blame them for stacking.
All in all it is what it is, and I have already said I made my peace with Sotha Sil (I’m playing less and less anyway). Have fun, and no harm meant.

I've seen some comment about a red player switching to the yellow side...orange alliance?

There's a difference between zerging and zerging.

    (In UK time)

Currently AD zergs for 1-2 hours @ 10-11pm

Then DC kills all doors in Cyrodiil between midnight and 8am

Then EP zergs from around 8am and keeps zerging the map down from 8am to 10pm

So don't tell me AD zergs and nightcaps.

Right now - almost 2 am - AD has highest pop on Sotha (and Vivec too btw) - and they still die to DC "nightcappers". The map not getting coloured yellow at nights it is not always a matter of lacking numbers on AD side.

Its clear that there is no purple EP 1 bar pop just fell asleep at arrius, its late now!

Nah, EP was just busy defending Kings against me and then they logged off after getting zerged by the DC nightcap zerg.

I wish there were more AD and EP at nights like in the past, but the majority seem to just log off as soon they can't PvDoor without resistance.

If that isn’t a DC nightcap I don’t know what else is. Nightcapping doesn’t mean 3 bars or pop lock like EP did for so many months. You just have to have more than your opponents. Besides, the pop bars are a notoriously bad indicator of relative alliance strength.

Some hours ago finally it had been proofed that there is NO PURPLE ALLIANCE and that fake legend will only remain in ESO history.

In fact as everybody can clearly see EP don't have any interest in fighting AD with same POP bar (not broken...) and are fighting at BRK (immediatly after Drake) and then Sejanus in 20-25 vs 8-10 becouse they need their keeps back! It's clear they don't have any purple alliance since when they will finish to zerg AD probably B4 prime time will start 2 go get some scrolls back.
