Third difficulty for pledge dungeons

    It would be cool to see a similar system too the WoW mythic plus dungeons, the issue in this game would be providing proper incentive to push higher level mythic plus since we don't have any gear progression. The WoW system rewards higher item level gear and larger amounts of artifact power the higher the key is, so unless they start scaling up the cp level of gear based on difficulty of content then it would be mostly pointless.

    You are asking for something very few players will even do, let alone complete.

    I can attest that SW:TOR ran into this very problem as you aludded to. An entire mode that was almost a waste of development time because 99% of players don't care enough about "getting gud" to the point of playing that mode. It's completely ignored by all but the most epeen-concerned guild, most of which have already left the game after conquering it anyway.

    I will never understand the opposition to gear progression in this community, in every other game I've played people like getting stronger items.

    Demand higher difficulty and better rewards -> power creep -> outdoes any mechanics / burn the dungeon - > demand higher difficulty, meanwhile call whoever can't finish normal difficulty scrubs.

    The problem is: people want stronger items without getting better here...
    ZOS started to introduce something like that with ICP/WGT, where normal dropped only V15 gear at the beginning...you see where we are atm...
    You can farm a braindead-easy normal mode for BiS trials gear :disappointed:

    Iirc we usually burned bosses after they nerfed it and not bc of insane power creep bc of better items :/
    And in the end it's not about the difficulty of the normal dungeons...i have no idea if they are in a good spot or not, this is something someone else has to decide.

    Giving the high skilled players even more exclusive content isn't a great idea.

    Veteran trials already require three-to-four times more DPS than the average player can put out, do those if you want a challenge.
