Chokethorn Monster Helm - Please Help Before I Buy

Before I spend 150K AP on the Chokethorn Monster helm from the Golden Vendor, I'd like to know if Chokethorn would proc from the following Warden skill:

Green Lotus
- Embrace the lotus blessing, causing Light Attack to restore Health and your Heavy Attack to restore Health to you or a nearby ally for 20 seconds.

I'm wondering if the healing done from the light and heavy attacks while this skill is active will proc the Chokethorn helm. Hopefully someone has the full set and has either tested or wouldn't mind testing. Thank you!

    Isn't it 200 K?

My suggestion is to just buy at least one or two of every monster helm. You never know what might get buffed in future patch.

Could be, I don't remember the cost.

Honestly just run the dungeon, its very simple and ask your team mates for the helm

most of them are just randoms from the daily random dungeon who want XP so im sure they'll give it to you
No need to spend 150k ap

Was looking to specifically acquire the medium in Impenetrable, so this would save some time. Really hoping it activates from that Green Lotus skill though.

Based on past forum posts that I was researching there seems to be confusion and inconsistencies about what type of skills proc it.

Thematically it looks cool for a warden, but 15% chance every 10 seconds isn't worth it for me, especially because it's an easy dungeon. If you can't find the answer, you could run EH once just to get it and even if it's a trash trait just try it out with Green Lotus.

It should, and if it doesn't, then it should be reported as a bug.

I agree. When in doubt if something works in ESO just grab the set in whatever traits are available and test it yourself.

That said due to the effect of lotus not being a DoT but rather a buff with a trigger for the heal i would presume it to work

Choketorn is utter crap in PvE, absolutely don't buy it. Bogdan may be the new heal set next patch... "may" the stats still don't convince me.

If you want it, run Elden Hollow I - it takes way less time than getting that amount of AP and you can get it Divines, if you like it over Infused, but both are certainly good.

I'd only suggest Choketorn in PvP because the heal even if being random, it heals you completely, it can save you from a burst combo and it can save your friends as well. In large scales though it's unreliable.

Btw I think Choketorn procs of any heal you give, be it a glyph, an ability, an ability sub effect like lifesteal from Lotus, that's what I heard in the forums, not 100% sure.

I tried proccing it with the heals from Surge crits, but it never did for me, but it worked fine for things like Dark Deal and Twilight Matriarch. I think it only procs from skills that deal healing directly.

If you want to test before buying, and assuming you already have a shoulder, queue for Veteran Elden Hollow I, run it once to get a helm in general (or exactly what you would have bought anyway), and try it for yourself.

I've heard people proccing it through Health Drain poison...

But Elden Hollow is ran in 15 minutes or less...

I can recommend chokethorn. It procs every skill that returns health. It even procs with HoT ticks.

Not sure thou, does it proc when light or heavy attack that restores health. I should try it with siphoning strikes and see.

How does it determine if it heals you or the ally? Lowest health?
