Pppppffffffffffttttt most gold i have ever had at one time is 500k and thats only because i won a guild raffle.

I spent it so fast.... to fast..... i hve a problem.

I tend to surf the guild vendors and buy sets i think are interesting and try out new builds.

Right there with you! Sadly I am a shopoholic and never have more than 500,000, typically sitting at around 200,000.

They flip things: buy them cheap on less accessible guild vendors or zone chat and sell them on guilds in the bigger and busier cities. But you'll need to do that for hours each day to reach that volume, meaning you'll have less time to actually play the game.

A surprising thing I've learned from this topic is that players on console had less money than those on PC. I was expecting it to be the other way around as anecdotic evidence showed the prices for some items to be 2-3 times what they are on PC.

it also only works if you are in a guild with a trader in either one of the undaunted cities or in Belkarth and possibly Rawkla.

personaly, I have been selling excess furnishing recipes lately. been farming for new ones for myself, so whatever i get that I already know - I just sell. still, people with multiple millions have been trading consistently likely since inception of trader kiosks being introduced into the world.

Speaking or real estate, I've bought all the houses available for god in game; I would have bought the rest, had crown only houses would have been giftable. I deferred those purchases for a long time, until my income was sufficient to buy them without much effort.

Personally I had no idea there was this much Gold kicking around, but when you think about it yeah, if you play regularly and get content done, you are going to make a lot of money.

I tend to keep a few hundred thousand in my bank, before I blow a chunk on some new project or item etc. Most I ever had was a few million, 2 or 3 I think... that was a LONG time ago, before I discovered Guild stores and got hooked on levelling new characters.

I can assure you that is NOT the richest person.

Also when you start making 10-50m a week income a Player will diversify into items. It is an MMO and gold loses its value to inflation at a very alarming rate so we buy up expensive items/stuff that can go into craft bags to offset this known risk.

We also spend an absurd amount of gold on kiosk bids which sucks for us but is good for the game as a whole as it is anti-inflationary and avoids the fat cats having complete control of the market :)

Really? Suddenly I feel a bit more richer because I thought the average would be higher. I've been around since Dec 2015 and between gold and inventory I should have 15-20 millions atm B)

Top 1% must be above 200 millions, for sure.

I find it fairly easy to make 600K-1.2m per week, however i'm almost a grand master crafter and own all purchasable homes, so my money is spent immediately, ill be glad when i don't have to keep buying motifs.

I'm a collector. Started with all the provisioning recipes, then the motifs, then houses, now working through the furnishing patterns.

Think I'm at 34 homes(?) all purchased for gold. I don't buy the crown houses; crowns for other shiny things. Still missing the homes in the mulit-millions since I've decided to focus on furnishings.

No idea how much money I've made since start, but my bank usually sits around 300k midweek...

By removing the ability of people who, genuinely, want to buy something to use from ever doing so for a reasonable price.

    Nice people...

Not being able to find reasonably priced items, to use, is one of the straws that will tend to break people's backs, eventually.

So, they're effectively helping to break the game they play, slowly but surely.

Yeah, so people buy items less and there is less activity in the market.

There is an optimum price, for anything and everything, that maximises seller profits, without impacting sales too much.

If the market is manipulated away from that price (in an upwards direction, in this case), sales stagnate and the resellers become poorer than they would otherwise be.

Some people seem to assume that in a captive market things will sell, whatever the price they are manipulated to be, but that is obviously not the case.

If things are too expensive and buyers just don't have the gold (and/or don't perceive any value in the items), things won't sell very much; simple as that.

The problem is that, in a market full of resellers, people are reluctant to sell stuff cheap - knowing that those items will just be snapped up and flipped, rather than be bought by someone who wants to use them.

So, again, this leads to stagnation.
