    - I have left when I'm causing the group to fail and everyone knows it. Most recently I had a healer on a new account in Darkshade II. I couldn't heal through the Engine Guardian's poison phase. The group didn't want to use the levers. I knew it wasn't going to happen so I just apologized that my character wasn't up to this task and left.

    - I have left when I initiate a vote to get rid of a bad player and the vote doesn't pass. I'm a CP630 tank running normal Pug dungeons...I don't have to be here and you will wait for a long time before you get a fresh tank. If I'm telling a player to do or not do something because it's getting everyone (but me) killed, then you better listen. Most recently I ordered a fake healer to start healing or I was going to put it to a vote. They were all getting killed and I was getting tired of trying to solo bosses and rez everyone over and over. I couldn't believe they didn't pass the vote to boot the healer. I decided it was time to go even though I could have carried them through the whole dungeon.

After 3-5 wipes with a PUG if we make little progress on the boss before wiping and usually only if I am the last man standing in each of those wipes. If we get a boss under 25% and then wipe, I'll take more shots than if we wipe and do little damage. If there are two of us carrying the group and the other group member leaves I might duck out as well.

I also never leave a guild group or a group I was invited to by a guild member.

I find it depends more on my mood than anything, but there are some things that'll get me to leave regardless.

    - Low group DPS drives me nuts sometimes. I'll stay for some if I think it won't be too painful, but if it takes over 5 minutes to kill a boss in a normal dungeon with less than 800k health, I'm out. Those are usually the groups where my can't-DPS-to-save-their-lives tanks are pulling 90% of the group DPS.
    - DPS using frost staves and taunting things away from my tanks. I'll take the time to explain things when I see this happen (which is unfortunately frequent), but if people don't listen to my explanation or proceed to be trolls, then I'm not going to waste my time. I once had a random normal where two of the other players were using frost staves and taunting things all over the place. I explained, they decided to be jerks about it, and I left. Wound up having to put one of them on ignore after they started sending hate tells.
    - People completely ignoring mechanics in dungeons where it kinda helps to do them. I'm looking at you, Dranos. I don't know how many times I've left Cradle groups where people refuse to follow mechanics, despite me explaining them. "Hey, guys, if you don't interrupt/bash those shades, he's going to kill me and then run wild." Thanks, guys. I like dying over and over again for no real reason. This also applies to the Planar Inhibitor in WGT, and Xal Nur in Mazzatun.

Those are the main reasons for leaving I tend to encounter. Otherwise, it's more likely to be other players being jerks, me leaving for real life issues, or me leaving because my latency is through the roof and not going down.

I only leave if I have absolutely horrible teammates that won't listen if I try to nicely explain mechanics and we wipe over and over. Pretty much only happens in vet 4 person dungeons, as I can carry anyone through normal. I did City of Ash II a couple days ago and did an average of 80% of the group damage, but it was normal so we finished, and the others were willing to listen to tips afterwards so it was actually a good experience for the long term.

I'm pretty stubborn and refuse to leave a dungeon/trial until we've finished or everyone agrees it's time to give up.

Although I guess never is maybe too strong since I've had to leave for things like sleep or other pre-committed activities.

I rarely leave a dungeon. However, if I see the DD's not using aoe's/dots in their rotation and are only pulling 2k dps on mobs all the while jumping around like bunny rabbits avoiding my heals/buffs and still getting one shotted by mobs after explaining they need to do a proper DD rotation, I will leave.
On my DD I will only leave if there's a khajit magica sorc healer (becoming an odd trend?) only throwing out mutagen, they keep dieing (Sorcs have hardened ward, utilize it if you're going the healer route) and a vote to kick fails. I can carry most and keep myself healed but if the rest of the group is wiping due to inefficient heals, there's no point.

I never leave groups unless teammates are all being jerks towards me, but if they just are not skilled then I hang with them til the end. The former rarely happens, one person may be a jerk but everyone kicks him fast.

But yeah otherwise I rarely leave.

I don't leave very often, but as the healer if I pull three really low level characters I'll give it to 2-3 deaths at the first boss. I try to give it my all but if its just not happening and I'm losing my temper, well. I am happy to help others but this is, after all, recreation. If I lose my temper it won't be that.

I'll sigh and give it my level best to see if there is a shot though. And I vote no to instant vote kicks of lowbies, thats just ratty in my opinion.

Usually I don't quit but when I do its because group is very bad (very low grp dps that wipe a whole group for various reasons) and can't progress at all during a dungeon or trial.

Even today I did a 1h 30m long normal dungeon run and usually I do spend hours in pugging raids. some of them lasting for 5-7h but... longest raid I was into lasted for a bit over 13h.

People have to understood. Even if you are a decent player you can't carry a whole group. As a tank you can't hold forever 20 angry mobs on you for too long. As a healer you can't heal someone who insta die due to mechanics or other reasons. As a DD you can't kill stuff if they aren't properly stacked.

Since I only played a tank most of the failed or non optimal groups i've been into were related to lack in damage / healing / even tanking (on my side due to resources group position etc) or understanding mechanics. Or a group that was not on same track. Moving as different entities.

And sometimes... I appologize and jump in vMOL or vHOF or bed. It is easier to get a decent player in a normal dungeon/trial than in a vet trial. And I give someone free loot too but put some players waiting in the process as well. :(

    This.

However I usually have some patience especially with newer players to the game. We all started somewhere afterall.
    There are a few things that will make me leave the group in Veteran Dungeons instantly however;

#1 Someone who is tagged as a tank who very clearly is not a tank.
#2 When I'm doing 80%+ of the overall DPs in a Dungeon that cannot be carried.
#3 When people start bitching at oneanother after several wipes when infact they're all terrible.

    This.
