I would very much welcome a change to this visual effect, or at the very least the option to "hide" vampirism (like the hide helmet function). Because at the moment I am forced to use polymorphs and skins on all the characters that have vampirism and I think this is doubly unfortunate because vampires have the potential to look really great in this game.

Your posting this picture of Gary Oldman has been made irrelevant by your own argument.

Let me disagree with you. During character creation you wanted your female looking beautiful but also scary. It doesn't come in pair. Me for example wanted my vamp looking partial dead and mature since the beginning and that's why I love the look of my mature vampire
. It has everything the modern eso vamp needs. No excessive ugliness for which I could not look and like my character for too long. The vampirism effect is decent and toned. Leave it as it is now please.
I have seen and participated in so many threads about either hiding vampirism or improving how vampires currently look, and I still don't understand why people are against it. I am fully aware of the skins and disguises obtainable from quests that hides vampirism, and I use one of them myself. All the skins require DLC/ESO+ (and a skilled group) and personally I don't want to look like a meatball or a character from Tron, I want to look like my dunmer. Some of the disguises are super cute, but they hide all Crown Store cosmetics and hats. I don't see my new hairstyle, nor do I see my eyelashes while wearing any disguise. Besides, why do people say ''just put on a skin and/or a disguise'' as if that is ok, but a regular skin just to hide vampirism is not ok? Being what some see as ugly is NOT a downside of choosing to become a vampire. More vulnerability towards fire damage and lower health recovery is. And the argument about you really needing to know if players are vampires, well, we have bufftrackers for creeps like you.
After all it is the appearance of MY character, why does it bother anyone else?
Because it's damn trade off, you want to have monster powers (and some of the usefull passives in the game), then you have to look like a monster... Don't want the look, don't be a vampire and problem solved... Nothing is going to change for another 4 years, deal with it...

What powers and passives do I get in stage one again? Right, right! My feed stuns people (ooooh, watch out!), I get a CC that heals me, and after a few uses makes me take more fire damage, and a mitigation skill that is niche (pvp sees 90%of use for this skill and only then on DKs and Templars, RP the other 10%), and after a few uses makes me take fire damage.
Sad fact of the matter is I, at least, am not discussing lower stages. I won't even talk about how selfish it is you think I should asthetically pay for an in game choice, I'll instead focus on the strawman you masterfully erected with the "trade off" argument. Sorry, but if you want me to pay for my powers (and I do at all times, try eating a trap beast, silver shard or dawnbreaker/EotS in pvp and tell me I don't have penalties. I dare you) I will. In the lower stages.
Know what, all DKs now have scales. You get cool dragon powers, deal with it.
Vampires are supposed to be monsters no?

That version of Gary Oldman was implied by the person I replied to, thus didn't require posting. I also explained in-depth why that "version" is not the true form of Dracula in the movie, as well as why ESO vampires don't have command over Illusion magic to that extent. But, you know, go ahead and skip reading my posts. They weren't important. /s
Leprosy is a disease, bubonic plague is a disease, HIV is a disease, and vampirism is a disease. Diseases aren't meant to be pretty.
