If you're going to spout lore, at least have correct lore. When a strain is so good at camouflage that a vampire hunter can't tell who you are time after time, it may be because they're great at hiding if well fed.

But yeah, twilight sucks and is not actual vampire lore. I'd much rather base vamps of ESO lore.

Vampires don't look like undead in lore when well fed. Glad you don't care about lore, but I'm going to go ahead and say ZOS does. Heck, if we're letting lore slide, why even have it?

Yes and when you are well fed you also decrease your vamp stage no? And you also look more than a human than a zombie on meth or not?

Why lore? - it's good for making money and to satisfy the RP crowd.

No idea what you want from me. If it is trying to be annoying, you definitely made it, with that picture and putting "bruh" in it

A stage one vamp should look mortal. If you disagree, I'd like to hear why. Through multiple in game sources, I'd like to point out that vampires can hide themselves in ESO.

You stated you didn't care about lore. That was what got you the "bruh" meme
(Edit regarding above, apparently made up words are censored lol)

I'm down with stage 4 vamps looking like absolute horror shows, really I am. A stage one vamp should look mortal though.

My friend and I had nothing but fun ewwing and gacking over how awful our vamps got to looking after stage 4, it was hilarious! I would not want that changed. I mean they're freaking undead! Dead things walking around feeding on the living SHOULD be revolting, the whole concept is revolting. Plus it's hilarious to go from "I just look a little bit peaked", and come out the other end of a dungeon and make your friend go GAH YOUR FACE. Way too funny to change!

But, a healthy, well feed vampire should look like any other character. It gives the ability to blend in, walk among the people, and hide in plain sight.

And go out in the Sun too?

As far as the sun goes, since this is a game rather than a fictional story and needs to be playable, I would say the sun at stage 1 the has no effect. Stages to through for you could say that during the daytime hours (06:00-18:00), the negative effects of each stage has a 5% increase for each stage. This only further incentivizes a player to remain healthy and well-fed.

Interesting idea but lore already states that Noxiphilic Sanguivoria does not make the vampire vulnerable to sunlight and I doubt they would change it. Also if you had negative effects from being in the sun ( and eso night is only like 20 minutes long unless im mistaken) vampire wouldn't be viable I think :)

True, though I think in most lore, you cannot take Dracula as a model. Dracula is the King of Vampires, and in some lore, the progenitor of all vampires. He has always had powers and magic that the common vampire wouldn't have. Allowing the common ESO vampire to turn into Mist is even a stretch, as most common vampire shouldn't be able to do that.

Dracula is Overpowered. He can turn beast form, mist form, bat form, command animals, has strong illusion magic, and all his strength/senses exceed other vampires x10. Hell, in some fiction, the very weather (ie: dark storm clouds and mist) follow Dracula around.

In other words: we shouldn't look to Dracula for design-inspiration in regards to ESO's player vampires. We vampires are one rank better than the scummy feral Blood-Fiends, but we are no Dracula. We aren't even Vampire Lord level.

The current look is fine. Altering it is a waste of resources imo.

If something ain't broke, don't try to fix it. Not everyone finds it as ugly or bad as you claim either. Personally like how some of my characters look at stage four with various customization's.

So um yeah. Shove your change ideas back wherever you pulled them from thanks.

You're right, but in eso players are more powerful vampires.

"Unlike other vampiric diseases such as Porphyric Hemophilia and Sanguinare Vampiris, vampires of the Noxiphilic Sanguivoria strain are not weakened by daylight, but are instead strengthened during the night. Vampires of this strain can undergo a complete blood transfusion ritual known as the Rite of the Scion to become Scions, a more powerful version of a vampire. The Rite of the Scion is also necessary for a Soul Shriven to become a vampire."

    http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Noxiphilic_Sanguivoria_(disease)#Noxiphilic_Sanguivoria

Sooooo maybe eso vampires can still look good and don't have to be filthy pleb vampires that look like bloated corpses. :)

Pretty sure the whole "tearing blood out forcibly through magical telekinesis" thing isn't canon. At least not for normal feeding. Only the player feeds like this in the game, despite the book on our strain clearly indicating that it is the most common of the current era. It looks idiotic, doesn't make a single bit of sense, and completely defeats the purpose of a vampire's stealthy nature. It's really the only thing I can't stand about vampires in this game.

So, while I like vampires the way they are, I'm in full support of players being given fangs. While they're at it, they need to completely change the way feeding works. It's horribly designed. Let us give actual bites

    Yes!
I want to feed on sleeping npcs, not with this weird blood beam theyve got going on!

Blade of Woe style bites. Animations. Before DB DLC I'd have said it'd be a pipe dream.

I might be willing to actually kill for this. Like most, I HATE the ridiculous feeding animation!

I read your comment :). This lore is completely different to tes-lore and there are a number of examples that would suggest that vampires are able to hide their vampirism by feeding. (In skyrkm, when affected by vampirism the player needs to feed regularly to avoid detection, unless hes a vampire lord).

From the large number of vampires I see walking around in Nordic Bathing Towels, I'd say people like the way vamps look.

Vampires are insanely OP. Free resource recovery is very valuable, hence why 90% of players in the game are vamps. I don't think it has much to do with people liking the apperance.
