I don't play for AP - they're just a nice side-effect that lets me buy stuff.
I don't play for achievements
I don't play for the faction.. well, I kind of do, but we all know the AD WoodEMp is gonna win regardless.
I don't play for Drama (but sometimes join in the party)

Surely the whole purpose of 'playing' anything has to be because its fun. If it isn't, you're either doing it wrong, or playing the wrong thing.

a bit of everything really ... but as others have said... mainly to have fun .... And play with my friends in my guild ... PvP play is always changing .. unlike with PvE where the bosses have set mechanics to follow

Currently mostly to hunt dye unlocks, though very sporadically... since my PvPness is nothing to brag about, so I generally suck at it, and I don't have friends to run with, its not exactly all that much fun for me I guess...

Though if those circumstances were to change someday, I might enjoy sucking at PvPness some more... after all, respawning with friends makes it sting less, right?
