But truly it's just about having fun. I just love castle sieges and large armies colliding. I just love PvP, even if I don't shine in it. I love to play team bases games like battlefield or warband but in an mmo it's mostly on a larget scale.
Sometimes I try to play a PvE only mmo and I get bored quickly. Also because i have less time to play PvE takes more preperation if you do group content.
PvP is some sort of (friendly) outlet and kill some people for 1 hour and be done with it. Just hop in, LFG or just follow a group and fight away.
Even in the state (laggy, proccy and loadingscreeny) I would not want to miss my daily dose of PvP. Without PvP I don't think I would ever have touched the game.
PvP community is friendly, helpful and overall just plain fun to be part of it. Yes there might be some rotten apples but I hardly see them in PvP.٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

✭✭You exactly pointed out why PvP in ESO isn't finished. None of the options is "I want to test myself". There is no competition at all. When I enter Cyrodiil I don't know what to do, what is my ultimate goal to acomplish. Being an emperor? Emperor is just grinding madness and that is not the competition what I seek. Taking all keeps? They will be retaken just overnight...
I was really excited about BGs but when they showed me BG leaderboards I was completely disappointed. I longed for competitive instanced PvP mode but BG leaderboards are just another grinding Emp-like excrement only reflecting time spent in BGs through a week and not player performance.
I would really like to see ranked mode for BGs, that would make me play PvP a lot more.

✭✭For my faction to winBecause group finder is terrible finding 4 people to do pve content is extremely difficult.
I actually quite enjoy the whole marco aspect of cryodil pvp. About pulling the enemy around about sieging and defending. Even if the mirco level fights are terrible laggy messes.
I play nightshift NA (3-6 am USA time) so group finder takes about an hour but in cryo i can jump straight in collect a bunch of people lfg in zone chat and jump straight in.1 -

✭For AP onlyTried it first time trying to do it solo got killed all the time. I can handle the npc but players just ganked the *** out of me. Ask for lfg got in couldnt keep up with group. Quit pvp because of embarassment.

Outside of those 2 exceptions, you will never catch me just casually dueling someone or strolling about Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds. Too many imbalances and dishonest play combined with toxicity for my liking.3 -

neal_brasier✭✭✭I like the fact it's something different with pve you pretty much know what's going to happen most of the time and what rotations to use. I find with PvP it's a little more unpredictable and slightly more challenging I have to be a lot more aware of what's going on around me.
Plus I also find it so rewarding when you're defending or attacking a keep and you're totally outnumbered and eventually take or defend it after half an hour even though it looked like you had no chance at the start of the battle.4
