This is what happens when everyone complains they have nothing to spend their AP on or no way to turn AP into gold.

Also 50k AP really isn't that much when people can pump out over 100k an hour with a good group in Cyrodiil.

As for buying parts separately, it's weird but eh, it's ZOS.

Yea, the whole fragment approach makes no sense, unless ZOS intends to later add the style mat as a reward for random dungeons (right now, the daily "Premium" reward can yield the full Akaviri style mat, and the unlimited "Standard" reward can yield Akaviri mat fragments).

Also, the price is ridiculous. Anyone who does a lot of Battlegrounds will get a lot of BG set items with trash traits. Just decon them and get your style mats from there. If you have the kind of AP where you can afford to blow it on overpriced style mats, then you probably have done enough BG to have a nice pile of them from decon.

To be fair, this is the same values, pricing on the motif as well as the mats, as that of Akaviri. Didn't see that much complain there, plus those with a lot of AP are bound to want to sell that in gold if you have more of that. AP is not all that hard to get now anyway, and there are lots of PvPers wanting to make a bit of gold.

As another option, if you have mimic stones lying around you can use those instead of trying to buy/find the lustrous sphalerite trait stone.

I've still got a ton of mimic stones from way back ... when they were included in the Grim Harlequin motif release.

You can buy them for next to nothing in guildstores because i get so many items from bg's in bad traits.
