What is the lowest CP you have completed Veteran Maelstrom Arena on?

My question is to determine if I am ready to take on VMA. I am 403 CP as of this post and can get through normal pretty easily but I am hesitant to jump into Vet mode. I know I could just give it a go and see how it turns out but wanted to ask others opinion.

Your CP level has very little to do with it. I've seen Flawless Conquerors with less than 300 CPs. I was at nearly 600 CPs my first clear but I didn't decide to "git gud" until I was about 450 CPs.

I've met some low CP players (<300) on PUG runs who were really, really good. And I've met some max CP characters who are absolutely awful. CP definitely does help a bunch, but Maelstrom is mostly based on player skill.

+-280CP with a magplar but I haven't tried it earlier. I am pretty sure it's doable with a lot less CPs but I would still recommend around 300CP for first clear.

Maybe I have been looking at it wrong then. I figured I needed more CP in order to mitigate enough damage as to not get 1 shot as well as have enough for burning down enemies before being overwhelmed. I am pretty good at learning mechanics and not standing in red (lol). Will definitely give it a shot now then.

My first clear was a little below 300 CP
But you can probably complete it with less. I wasn't doing any pve before that point.

Just try and get spawn points down and youll be fine I believe in you!

Around 260cp was my first clear. Wasn't pretty, wasn't easy.

Over 400 makes it comfortable. The main killer is mechanics, everything else just marginal gains or for speed.

Think I had about 200cp, this was way back when VMA first came out and the sets was much different to now, also VR16 was still a thing.
It's doeable with 0 cp, I know I could do it and others have for lols I guess.

But as a new player, 300cp is generally the recommended minimum.

FYI can't do VET VMA at lvl 21, u gotta be past lvl 50 (when CP rank begins.).

To give you an idea of how faceroll easy normal MA is;
You can create a lvl 3 character (using dropped white gear) and do normal maelstrom easy peasy

I have completed vMA at exactly 160cp before, was a struggle though.

You can't enter vMA until you reach level 50. At level 21, what you beat is nMA. And nMA is beatable even before level 10.

I completed vMA on my second account back when it had only 288 CP. But experience is more important than CP. You can get away with very little or even no CP if you've done it before a lot. But your first time through, that CP will definitely help a lot.

300ish, at release. Cleared it after a solid weekend of working on it, then never touched it again until I was at cap--the difference between 300 and cap was not as great as you might think (though noticable, obviously).

My first clear was at VR16 with about 360CP. I think I started doing it at 335 or so. I spent a long time in there getting it right because I was terrible lol!

Thanks for all the replies. The consensus seems to be that CP doesn't play as big a role as I thought. I have mainly been doing the normal MA to get used to the mechanics and such. I will give it a shot at my current CP level and see how it goes.

It is really mostly about being able to manage the mechanics. Which is considerably more difficult in vet.

Best bet is to just get in and try it. Vet is significantly harder than normal. You have the CP to give yourself a decent DPS boost and mitigate a good amount of damage. It really is all about mastering the level and boss mechanics. It'll probably take awhile to finish your first run but if you stick at it you will complete it and it'll get easier every time after .

vMA has been cleared without any CP. my guess is someone has already pointed that out.

However, that person had cleared it many times previously with max CP. He just wanted to test it out that way. He had the advantage of knowing it well.

I beat it the first Sunday of September 2016. Dunno what the CP cap was back then...

I remember that well, cuz on Saturday that weekend, I beat vDSA for the 1st time
