Few weeks ago, I use GF for random daily and get into Super Group. Ran VetCOA2 speed run no death. It gave me goose bumps. This like never happens. Everyone seemed to note we had quite stellar chemistry so we decided to run through vet Mazzatun. Not a no death run, but we rocked it nonetheless. Could you imagine pugging vet mazzatun?

It's still very memorable and wouldn't stick out in my head as much if it weren't so rare. Too bad everyone had all their guild slots filled up. Oh well.

I often run Vet stuff with friends and guildies but sadly even with my friends there's not such great combat chemistry most times. I haven't been able to beat vet mazzatun since

Friends lists, and making a new "dailies group" regardless of guild barriers.

This is how the greatest of teams and friendships are formed.

I had a similiar experience a couple months. Got in the DFG, got Vet WGT. I was the healer and they pulled me through it lol. I barely even had to heal them. There were a couple deaths on the obvious boses, but nobody cared we just got back up and went again.

Really wish I had taken down their names at this point lol.

Yeah, I should have sent out some friend requests. Maybe we'll group up again sometime.

It's been a minute, but I've since hooked up with some guildies and been able to rock it again. We're trying to get this hammered out a little better and start doing hard mode to farm motifs.

It feels good crushing hard content with the same group of friends and everyone cool not yelling. You know the group can do it. This doesn't happen with pugs very often. I still pug. Don't even know why.

I had the speed run achievement for vICP and vWGT with PUG. It was fantastic for me.

I'm still waiting for an awesome group to unlock the achievements for vROM. I will have more chance to unlock them with a premade group, but I like PUG challenge.

Before I tried it myself, based only on reading forums I wouldn't ever imagine it But when I started running dlc vet dungeons, it was often with random people from zone chat. It was like 3 or 4 times total when groups gave up on last boss, and surprisingly not a single time in RoM...

Still weird that when people use Group Finder they seem to expect the most awful group It's just ordinary people, using the basic tool which should be used for grouping. You can meet weak people or people with bad personalities there - just as well as in zone or in guild. No idea why meeting random decent people is considered something incredible

I pug vRoM every day essentially. I have in fact farmed that entire motif(except shields which I am still working on) with pug groups. I havent bought a single piece..I will just pug it in non-HM and let drop whatever the motif gods may throw my way and trade them with other players in the group who got a motif drop. Its really not that bad of a dungeon to pug as long as you have at least 2 experienced players.

Every once in a while group finder groups will surprise you with a fun, strong group that complements each other's play style.

More often it will instead "surprise" you with a less performant group of four DPS, two of whom queued as healer or tank, but couldn't heal or hold aggro on a paper bag on a windless day.

Even more often it'll surprise you with how versatile you can be when you find yourself pulling 80% of the damage and 40% of the healing when you queued as DPS on a stamina nightblade.

When I get a good group, it's like a weight is lifted and it restores my faith in the player base. When I don't, I use it to test myself for challenges like VMA and soloing world bosses in Vvardenfell.
