Swap 'ugly ass hat' for 'the thing you most didn't want' and you just described the vast majority of crates.
That said, I got four apex mounts from one batch of 15. A waste if I hadnt got the vomit-green guar.I got suspenders for saying "Testicular Mass" instead of "Balls". like, rilly.0 -

If you pre-ordered Morrowind, it came with one Dwemer/Dwarven crate. You go to the Crown Crate "opening" window listed under Crown Crates to "open" them like any other Crown Crate. You should see your Dwarven Crown Crate.
On my primary account I got nothing of significance; on my second account I got a blue shroom beetle non-combat pet.1
