Can someone please clarify siphoning attacks change?

So as it stands on live, siphoning attacks restores stamina and magicka from light attacks and other direct damage sources have a 10% chance to restore magicka and stamina as well. I haven't been on pts so can someone please tell me if the skill has retained the ability to restore resources off direct damage attacks? If you could post a screenshot of the skill, that would work as well, thanks!

    On pts. Cost 2250 stamina. Restore 1450 health and 340 stamina or 340 magika depending on morph. For 20 seconds. These numbers are not completely correct but very close. Just can't remember exactly.

    Almost impossible to get the resource cost back, in PvP, rendering the skill useless. The health gain is nice for say a tank n pve or something but to hard to rely on in PvP.

    This change has decimated any cool hybrid builds that exists at moment.

    No more 10% chance to restore resources on direct damage sources (spam dps, light and heavy attacks, sap essence). That is a core synergy between class abilities gone. :(

    Stam return on light and heavy attacks is gone.

    Added 1500something health return on light and heavy attacks.

    Magicka return on light and heavy attacks reduced to 396 per hit.

    Siphoning Attacks retains its same cost as on live.

    The new Leeching Strikes is no longer a toggle and returns health and stamina on light and heavy attacks to mirror the new Siphoning Attacks.

    Wow, that is a low blow to NB as a whole. I just started making a sap tank build that utilized the current siphoning attacks and sap essence spam, so I'm thinking I should scrap the build as a whole, very disappointing :(

    this is bullsht why destroy class defining skills? this was one of the skills that was a deciding factor to choose nb over sorc:( stam blades don't need it cause of bone pirate but mag blades are screwed without it as they need to run 2 dmg stets to compete with other classes

    We should try to rally all NB to revert the siphoning attacks change and keep it the the same as live.

    They could make leeching strikes the same as live siphoning attacks, but return health instead of magicka, stam is kept the same as live.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JasonI @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GaryA Nightblades are already fail. The only thing we had going for us was the resource return from Siphoning attacks and Funnel Health/Swallow Soul low magicka cost. (Which you upped in the previous class balance patch)


    No one plays magicka Nb's because of their weak dps and horrible rotation. Your indistinction between PvE and PVP game mechanics has destroyed the PVE gameplay for Nightblades. Why play a Nightblade in PVE? @ZOS_GinaBruno ? Why? God I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

    Add the additional 10 percent Magicka return back to Siphoning Attacks, Hell you can even morph the leeching and other ones to "Health and Stamina".

    PVE Nightblades are dead. If you need proof just look at the low leaderboard scores they post every week for VMA compared to Sorcs and other classes.

    The rotation is horrible, the reliance on animation cancelling to even hit 30k dps on a mag blade is painful. As of which only 4 percent of players in this game can actually accomplish on a NB.

    Been playing since launch, Seen quite a few changes, but this is too much. All in the name of PVP. How about we have a "This ability does not work on players" - added to some of these skills you're nerfing.

    I'd like the ability to test these changes for myself on the PTS but did not get a Morrowind Invite.

    And one more thing. All the people who support your changes and lick your starfishes on these forums are cancer. Filthy Casuals. #Salty

    With the current changes there will be no reason to play a magblade over a magsorc.

    Can't play melee anymore, therefore both are ranged.
    Cloak is bugged and unreliable, sorc has streak.
    Syphoning attacks nerf means sorc will also have better sustain cause dark exchange.
    Sorcs have better damage too. Oh yeah better passive self healing too.
    Did I mention that sorc has bigger shields? No I didn't.

    Oh wait what's that? Magblade has a teleport? That's cute.

    Not disagreeing with you because sorc does completely outclasses nightblade at the moment, but I think melee magblade could make a comeback. The reason being is because I feel like alot of players will be switching from heavy armor and playing light and medium, and melee magblade can wreck light and medium builds. I'm planning a melee build around amberplasm.
