Just because you waste your life grinding a great set in a dungeon doesn't mean you're a good player. @ZOS_GinaBruno The real life sacrifices being made for such obsessions is sad. Unbind everything ZOS, let people trade, buy, sell, to save time. You will likely save your customer base in the process.

Agree 100%. Especially if you bought the game to PVP but you end up most of your time in PVE grinding gear to eventually PVP with the build and setup you want to run. Shouldnt have to run a dungeon 200, 300 times or even more in some cases to get the gear you want.

I dunno, coming from a more traditional MMO, i think there is something to be said for the absolute best gear being bound. I don't mind if there is gear almost as good floating around the markets, but the pinnacle should be left for those who have proven themselves against the biggies baddies and won.

Though, you could certainly argue that PvP and Crafters should have equal opportunities as well for stellar performances in their fields. In a traditional MMO, I would disagree with this, but this game has a pretty deep crafting system and PvP, and is certainly more "free form" than classics like WoW. At any rate, I think we can all agree that you should have to distinguish yourself somehow to get the best or almost-best gear.

Agree completely. The grind keeps players from actually doing the fun content in the game and it also wrecks the in game economy. People who enjoy dungeons could make gold from doing what they like rather than having to farm resources or something else to try and make some gold.

Open the economy to people who play the game and don't just farm.

They've already said that all players aren't meant to get every item at will. You don't need to run x build to be the best. It takes a day to get a full set of dungeon gear in a good trait. If you're trying to get every set, ofc you're going to have to put time into it. If you're mad about not getting a sharpened BSW inferno staff.. run a different staff and make it work...

Won't lie. I miss the old days when you could create twinks. Nothing felt so good as giving max lvl raid gear to a lvl 1 character, giving them 20x the hp and mana etc. lol.

I like the idea of more gear being tradeable while more quest gear being better (long term epic quests baby) and not tradeable.

But I don't care too much either way so *shrug*.

I just want set bonuses to be researchable so I do not have to set foot inside a boring ass dungeon, I got *** to do IRL.

Take away the stupid ass Cyrodiil buff bandaid and give us bonuses related to Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds and be done with it.

I don't wanna be apart of the whole ESO community, I play this game for me myself and I; I wanna stack corpses and build an Ivory Tower from the bones of the players I've slain.

I don't think that it was good for traditional MMOs either. Besides the offshore farmers, wherever they are, can just sell their accounts. You're not solving anything with bound gear and especially housing. I'm good with aesthetic items, skins, motifs, pets, being grind only but not attending to your wife to get that maelstrom weapon is sad and it happens. Ever heard of OCD? This game and other MMOs are extremely toxic because of the competition being about grinding rather than a clever combo of skills and gear that is readily available. The time... the horror...

For me, it's not so much the grind. I don't mind running trials to get the absolutle best gear. IMO, the real problem is the horrible RNG. It's the fact that I have to run trials over and over and over and over .....to get that elusive Moondancer staff in sharpened or TFS/VO dagger in sharpened, etc.

Oh and don't forget they said that not with Morrowind, but more than likely end of year or sometime next year that they will upping the Gear level, as in cp 160 will now be cp 180 or cp 200.

I literally just got the last piece of my basic sets last night, I haven't even upgraded them yet and put them on my characters.

But I'll be damned if I am gonna grind through all that again. I'm a Hard core player, I play basically every night, I like both PvP and PvE. I have been with the game since early access on PC and transfered to PS4 and I have only missed a few nights playing (or days when I get forced because of work), I have also never taken a break of more than 6 or 7 days from the game (Vacation to Florida or some other place).

I have finally gotten all my gear I had when it was Vet 14 / CP 140 and then they upgraded the gear on me to vet 15/16 (cp 150/ cp 160). So as of last night I am pretty much good to go now, btw this is just my basic gear, not VMA, Dragonstar Arena, or trial gear which now I have to work on.

This Bound stuff in Dungeons/trials/arena's have to stop..

oh and ZOS, Jewelry Crafting needs to be a thing for Crafted sets.. in the words of the great Jean Luc Picard (star trek) "Make it so..."

I do enjoy diving in and out of a dungeon. In and out, in and out. Over and over again. Faster and harder each time. The excitement building each time I thrust myself back into that deep dark secret spot. Until I finally i cant take anymore and I explode in excitement as I final reach that sweet sweet present deep inside. I would love nothing more then to shower my teammates in the sweet juice of my labors. Letting them roll around in my left over drippings scooping up as much as they could carry...

High end gear should be BoP, but there needs to be a token system, or a way for crafters to re make the item to the weight and trait people want.

But if your only goal is to decorate your in-game house, then why do you need maelstrom weapons? I suppose you could say the same of an equipment crafter, but crafters are at least directly involved in the gear process and presumably are crafting that gear for themselves as well as their potential customers. Their main focus IS gear, even moreso than a PvEr or PvPer.

Real life calls, and sometimes you need to heed the call. I play maybe 1/10 of the games I used to now that I've got a 9-5 position at a company and try to lead something of a social life while doing it. In other words, do what you gotta do, but don't try to say you deserve the same rewards as an endgame PvEr because you'd rather go have sexy times with the misses and don't have time for both. Besides, this game isn't even really a grind. At least you can have almost BiS stuff with a few runs. In Rift right now, every single piece of armor, jewelry, and even the weapons require insane grinds just to level them up AFTER they drop from raids.

All the gear from the newest "raid" require 10 subsequent runs through the "raid" to even be ABLE to upgrade it with another material. The weapons have a hilariously terrible grind as well - the second upgrade requires completing 50 zone events, killing 1000 zone invasion mobs, and closing 20 rifts (think dolemens), and it only gets worse as you go up. I'll take RNG for my traits over substandard gear that demands dozens of hours to be useful any day.

While I agree with that, I don't see the point in proving myself against the the Snake or the Warrior over and over again.

In my last three trial runs (nSO, nSO and nHRC) I didn't get a single VO piece, and TFS only in traits I don't want. I'd be very eager to do nSO ten times in a row if I could choose what set piece and in what trait the last boss dropped. But after the last two evenings' runs, I do feet somewhat discouraged. Yesterday we struggled to get a group together for a bit more than an hour. That group failed (tank had 12k health, dragged the Manticore to face the group). Was lucky, found another group within 10 minutes. Did the run, got nothing I wanted (not even in bad traits). Basically I wasted two hours for nothing. Tonight - group finding only took 30 minutes. We did nHRC and nSO, and again I got nothing I could use. Altogether about 2 hours again.

Golden jewelry is already something I'm extremely unlikely to get, simply because I'm not yet good enough to do it on vet, not to even think of HM. But please don't make me hate the trials from overfarming before I even attempt them in vet mode.

BTW - I'm in three guilds. A large trading guild, a local regional guild and a raiding guild. All three were pulled into my "LFxM .." messages.

That was my view for awhile. But the more I think about it I think everything should be Boe. I would love to be able to trade my sharpened melee weapons for a sharpened inferno. Or even just sell them. They are worthless to me, but not to others.

It's not like people can't be carried through most of the content anyways. And with playstation people are allowed to control other people's toons via play share or whatever it's called.

I don't even think things should be bound after equipping them.

    1. Change weapons to be only craftable. this kills the excessive traits vs types caused by weapon trait hunting. Redo traits at this point cuz it will be easy to replace them if they are crafted.
    2. leave jewels as drops only AND move maelstrom/master "key piece grinds" to jewels, not weapons. The jewelry grind is a lot easier. might also do this for monster sets so that rings replace shoulders and necklaces replace heads.
    3. Leave body pieces as craftable or drops... so you can craft wpn+body or gather wpn+jewels or just jewels. Allow crafting to alter style of drops.

As a package: grind still exists but more manageable. drops and crafteds bring necessary pieces to the table at all times.
