That last thing ESO needs is more gear sets that are easy to obtain. The dearth of sets now and the simplicity of obtaining them are contributing the to serious balance issues. Its not just the CP, its the CP AND the sets. You can run 2 5 pieces and a monster set + 600CP= OP.

@Malic I don't think "dearth" means what you think it means.
And while there are a lot of sets, a lot of them are very niche. If you're, say, a PvE stam DPS right now (on live), you've got only got a handful of 5-piece sets that are actually viable (TFS, Spriggan's, NMG, Alkosh, VO) ... maybe a few more if you're willing to give up a few % DPS (Hunding's, TBS, Agility).
And right now, it's basically: mag DPS runs BSW + IA/Moondancer, stam DPS runs TFS + VO/Alkosh, healers run SPC + Worm/Aether/Mending, and tanks run Ebon/Alkosh/Powerful Assault.
That last thing ESO needs is more gear sets that are easy to obtain. The dearth of sets now and the simplicity of obtaining them are contributing the to serious balance issues. Its not just the CP, its the CP AND the sets. You can run 2 5 pieces and a monster set + 600CP= OP.
If you run staves you can only run 1-5 piece set-1 monster set and then mix match the rest. Having more sets gives a few options on switching things up for the best outcome for your play style.

All the new sets are kinda terrible IMO. The infector set is good for stamina aoe DPS in pve I guess.
