It takes time to learn. And most new people want to show up and just be good. Its also frustrating to learn when most people are more powerful than you and know what they are doing.

The question each person has to ask is: If they are willing to commit the time and effort to learn and become better at this game.

I remember learning PVP and it sucked for a long time. But little by little I learned from playing, I learned from good people in my guild, and I learned from taking time to read online about different builds.

I have tried a good dozen of times to offer zerg guilds some free training sessions regarding builds, rotations, gear sets, group leading and such. All they want is to overwhelm the enemy with absurd numbers. Again, can't wait for battlegrounds and fixed amounts of players.

Don't feel bad Frozen, I've had the same response from players. I've offered other guild groups the opportunity for there group leaders to run with us and see how we do things in hopes they might get better. But no one is ever interested. I think the majority of players are just here to consume the entertainment and don't care.

Hey, I've seen you guys, Dominion Knights, in action in Azuras Star. Is that offer still up, because I would take it. IOTE used to run multiple pug raids but have switched to guild only groups now, and we usually average 12 people. Me and my guildmates are always looking for ways to improve our group play.

Its threads like these that fuel the PvP elite snobbish attitudes.

If i hear "small scale" and "1vX" one more time. .

you guys have a really entitled perception as to what ESO PvP is. Like its for you to decide that "It's the 12-14 man 600 cp stacked groups that irk me. Like, you've been playing since launch and you're still doing this?" - for real? Please tell me why this is apparently unacceptable? Please show me where in the ESO manual youre supposed to hit a mile marker that says "ok, if you want to be pro, you need to stop running with the 12-14 friends you have!"

I have zerged in the past and even though its left my voice dry and me mentally drained, I've had an enormous amount of fun and so has my guild. All the pvp i've participated in with my guild, Requiem since summer of 2015 has been 14 or less and lately (post 2017): 10 or less. I dont zerg now but if i had the desire id do it without a single shred of guilt or reservation.

why? because ESO pvp is what we make it. The PvP upper echelon elite cant dictate and its appalling you think even think you have the right to. Please show me an advertisement from prior to ESO vanilla launch promoting "small scale" or "1vX".

That was rhetorical because i know you cant. There is however, much media on large scale and epic siege.

the "small scale" and "1vX" crowd sounds like a bunch of Call of Duty, adrenaline junkie, youtube uploading, entitled, jaded brats crying because you cant make ESO PvP what you want it to be.

You do realize you've been the forums' loudest and most abrasive proponent for zerging and fighting with numbers for a good while now, don't you? The elitist, snobby, pro-outnumbering, anti-individual improvement crowd is more vocal these days than the elitist, snobby, anti-zerg, 1vX, small group crowd.

So, I'm one of the filthy casuals, and I guess I'm one of your thrash players as well, then.

Firstly, what's up with the derogatory adjectives? Are you trying to promote the PvP community, or are you trying to chase everyone away?

Secondly, I really do play casually. On the rare occasion that I go to Cyrodil, my intention is purely to have some fun. I mainly PvE, and when I go into Cyrodil it is with PvE gear. My time is precious, and I can't justify modifying my build just for those rare occasion when I PvP. I'm also not going to learn a new skillset just to be able to compete in PvP.

So when I go to Cyrodil, I search for the action and go there. Mostly it ends with being part of a Zerg, sometimes it does not. I don't really care. If I get one shot in against a 1vsX master, I will enjoy my part of the kill, and I will respect you for your skill. But I will still let that arrow fly, and I will not regret doing so.

If I want to get better at PvP, I'll do what I'm doing with PvE: post on the forums, ask advice, choose options that fits my playing style, and work on them. I'm not great at PvE either, but I'm learning a bit each time I get on.

To put it in shorter form: I don't really care to get better at PvP. I'll join a Zerg on rare occasions to have some fun, but my focus is not PvP. I'm not going to spend the many moons needed to even think of competing 1v1 with you squeaky clean, super precious heroes. If that was to be a requirement, I'd simply never go any further than the Golden Vendor.

except - im not the one coming o nthe forums and creating threads promoting zerging and using derogatory adjectives to do it.

you see about 3-5 "pvp is supposed to be 1vX" and "people who play in zergs are trash players" and "look at my new 1vX video that makes me look cool"

biiiig difference between me and them. but nice try.

If instead you get on some guilds Teamspeak and tell them they suck or try to take over, OF COURSE you're going to be ignored.

I don't know who the big head kids are for DC in NA PC TF but they sure aren't offering to teach anything. The most I get in cyro is "WTF you running bone shield as a DPS, fookin NOOB" or some moronic whispered rant about being run down by a zerg by someone running around with Pact Militia.

Well I'll tell you right off the bat that no serious solo or small group player will be doing any serious play, and therefore would be unable to teach, during prime time with even an inkling of lag.

Also, fishing through LFGs to find people with potential is a huge waste of time. Take the initiative, design your build to sustain and survive independently, adding as much damage as you can muster after that, and then go play on the other side of the map far from your faction zergs, where the good small scalers spend their time.

You mentioned DC on NA/PC. I can't tell you how many pugs with potential I've picked up like that who ended up becoming loyal guildies and solid players. You have to take those first steps to get noticed, but trust me, small scalers who want to run top notch groups understand that we all start in the same place and are watching everyone around them for potential.
