ESO PvP is not dead and im frankly tired of seeing this jaded gamer propaganda being spread around on the forums. Just because YOU dont want to pick up pugs in zone chat lfg doesnt mean you can or have the right to ignore the fact that there are a tremendous amount of players and a tremendous amount of continuously replenishing players for every salty one that leaves the game only to inevitably come back.

No matter where you go, there will be some sort of large sized group from the opposing faction with the exception of DC in non prime hours. But that has been the case for DC faction at varying yet similar degrees since launch. Its the underdog.

"Fixing" ESO PvP is an ongoing and forever evolving thing. You should never expect full and complete and absolute balance and bug fixes. You cant even expect fixes to bugs from launch because you have no idea what goes into the back end and what the fix will actually affect in other aspects of the game.

Just last night, i got tired of the whining about how DC was a joke on Azura's Star and i said "if you want to do something about it, type rick roll in zone" and lo and behold i had 9 players within minutes. it took me saying that a total of 3 times before people gave me some faith. add in a few guildies and i had a full on force that stuck to crown better than ive seen in coordinated groups. we werent able to push to the inner but we didnt lose anymore ground until 9:40PM EST.

So stop with this B.S. jaded propaganda. you watch too much fengrush.

I spent a good two years in PvP trying to win campaigns but eventually just grew bored of it.

I joined the PvP game because I liked the overworld strategy and commanding/leading groups to conquer the map. I wanted big siege battles and epic fights like they advertised in the trailers. However the game doesn't support that and it's become all about five second burst kills and 1vX heroes* so I find little enjoyment there.

I jump in from time to time now for some 1vX as that's where the only fun left in it for me is. Granted a large part of my problem is I don't have a guild to play with any more but I grew tired of the guild and faction politics and inability for anyone to understand how to build a team or make build changes for the group.

* I understand this isn't great fun as zergs ruin it all, but that's the main focus of most of the PvP community now it seems (well at least the vocal ones).

When you ask players "can you slot x to help the raid" and you get back reasons as to why their builds can't adjust to the group... not much you can do. Granted it wasn't everyone in the guild I ran with and it had (and still has) some amazing people.
However of the two years I played there it was a constant battle to get people to understand how to improve characters and many attempts to advise on improvements was met with dug in heels "I pay for the game, I play how I want" mentality.

There was this strange ideal that getting better and using current meta builds (or even optimising) was what the dirty elitist exploiters did. It was the whole scrub syndrome where's rather than accept mechanics and use them players invented their own moral rules holding them back and explaining their weaknesses.

This isn't to say these players or the guild were at fault and I don't mean disrespect to them, the idea of the game is to have fun the way you want.
It was just a mismatched ideology for me. Myself and the others leading the guild at that time wanted quality elite PvP with no smack/exploits, many in the guild wanted casual good PvP without expectations. If anything the fault lies on me for trying to create something I wanted out of something it wasn't designed for.

Either way it's old issues. I left and moved on, am happier for it as are they. Everyone learnt and won and no grudges are held.

Biased poll is biased. Most options for Yes, thinking PvP is fun, comes with a negative connotation in the comment behind it. Cause you can only have fun in PvP apparently if you either, do nothing but heal, have an unkillable tank build, gank, or 24man eye of the storm rush. There are plenty of other options and play styles to do in PvP that are fun and engaging, and here is me coming to the defense of small scales, which I usually don't do cause the game is not desgined for it, but you never mentioned them at all and its almost like you are expecting small scalers to not like the current state of PvP simply cause you don't.

What a jaded and biased poll. And anyone who knows anything about polling knows that the practice is only as valuable as it is objective. That is if your intent is to gain true insight rather than making a snarky point or spread propaganda.

At any rate, personally, my friends and I still have a ton of fun and will continue to do so until Wrobel rips the ability to effectively small scale from our cold dead hands.

Can still be so much fun, but isn't 90% of the time.
Even if i want to play true solo (AWAY from my own alliance), I can tell when this will work and when it won't, simply by looking at the map and population states.

That said, I play Azuras, so I don't have to suffer many of the problems you lot complain about. However, if the campaign is very one sided (or full pop locked is also always a nightmare), which is the case A LOT on EU lately (was much, much better two months ago), I know it will be terrible.

For some reasons, more players in total don't see to lead to more solo / small groups if you go to off-places. It simply leeds to more clump-up and the clumpy fights are dominated by the faction with the most players.

Scroll and keep bonus makes this even worse. I would REALLY enjoy it if more scrolls + more keep --> more AP earned (need a true incentive to play for the map) but WEAKER combat strength. Not more combat strength. That way, comebacks were possible, you could have very nice 1vX fights if you're fully buffed and if the AP bonus is large enough, peopel would still (or even more so) do something for the map.

That said, these meta mechanics of populations, player behaviour and choice of fights are a huge, but my only problem. I have no problem with the current balance regardless of which class / build-archetype I play (again, that could be because I play on Azuras).

I mainly PVP on no cp under level 50 black water blade now . It's the closest to PVP at launch that was not as busted . No lag really . No invincible tanks and limited amount of proc suits . Apologies for not voting the choices were a bit confusing .

But the kicker! the real crux of the whole situation is that they were all made to look like fools to Iryalia! Iryalia of all people! There is a guy somewhere out there in the real world that in all his masculinity named himself Iryalia! And he sounds like a character from Adam Sandler's 1995 movie Billy Madison to top it off! And Faso who looks like Bill Nye the Science Guy's (not the wannabe of the same name on EP) son irl beats the "team" too!
