Hybrid Nightblade DOT Build & Commentary

So this is a shot a a DOT Build, and it's surprisingly good on a hybrid! Plays like a long distance caster that can leave some serious bleeds on your foes. I hope you guys like this build and give it a shot!

Watched you stream this day one and it looked effective and inventive. Im trying a pelinals dot build on a dk tank build. High healing and multiple dots.

Nice build, I ran a hybrid nb build myself a few months ago using a 2h and resto staff. The results were better than i had anticipated.

Try Skoria over Kena/Veli. You lose a fair bit of damage, but you'll gain much more back in the meteor raining that will occur.

Thank you! Another option for the dk is 5 Moraga tong, provides the 2x weapon damage bonus with a 10% poison damage increase.

Skoria is a great option, it's really up to preference as valid kena is about 400 weapon spell damage.

My friend was the only person on your death recap, as I hadn't pursued you across that clearing.

After watching the video, I experimented with trying to make my Templar a hybrid. Thank you for the part of the video explaining your CP setup and the stats for hybrid based builds! That bit helped me greatly to rethink what it means to be a magplar.

To continue the discussion, have you experimented not using perlinials set? If so what are some viable alternates for hybrids?

I'd probably assume there are no viable alternative sets, but I figured I'd ask.

Alternative builds would also have to compensate for losing the Sheer Venom dot. That set is very powerful, and it's only just coming into public knowledge. I personally think the Sheer bow and Pelinal's staff split with all your magicka stuff on the Pelinal's staff bar is clever.

Really now? That's cool. The IC dungeon sets were incredibly hard to farm back then, and didn't come in jewelry, weapons, or impen. They only really became feasible in PvP after those became available, but people are slowly realizing just how strong some of them are. Jack here is one of the few ahead of the curve.

If memory serves me he used steel tornado to proc the set. Sheer venom, masters bow and morag tong could potentialy make a solid stam DK build.

Oh yeeaa I heard about steel tornado sheer builds back in the day. Must have come from him. Does sheer still proc on multiple targets at once? Anyone know?

Steel tornado doesnt work well with sheer venom as it only hits one target. Poison injection is stronger because of the double dot even before poisons

i guess the truth hurts sometimes then. Ive watched him call my team mates a b***h and display poor sportsmanship on his streams. So im sorry if im not kissing his feet. especially since you publicly called him out on the forums. but i guess its ok when you do it since youre pvp royalty.

I am sorry to hear that, but what I said here is very different from what you said here. I called him out without insulting him and gave him a chance to apologize and mend the situation, which he did, albeit in private. I don't know Jack or his usual personality or past interactions with your friends, but I didn't come to this thread to derail it into personal insults. If you choose to do so, don't use my post as justification.
