Psijic recipe fragments removed from loot list?

Since Homestead, I have done top level provisioning writs on 8 characters every day and not had a single drop. Neither has anyone I know, and they all say it is strange.

Before Homestead doing it on just 6 alts a day was an almost guarenteed 1 or more recipe fragments.

0/280 is well beyond the statistical margin of error for 'just RNG.'

Either something is wrong with the drop rate or my account is somehow broken.

I still get them. Same story, 8 provisioners. But yes nerfed and ground sound like appropriate words here.

I see they fixed a bug that was causing master writ vouchers to have too low of a drop rate last patch. I think they broke this as well. Can we please have the devs take a look at it? It seems WAY too low and there were no patch notes for Homestead about nerfing the drop rate by 1/1000.

Remember that your chances of getting them from Level-VI-and-below Writs is very low, and Provisioning Writs have been bugged since One Tamriel to give you VIs half the time when you're supposed to be getting VIIs.

Why the playerbase hasn't made a huge stink about this is beyond me.

I've gotten 3 or 4 fragments since Homestead.

It's just RNG. In the past, I've had a multi-month drought where I wouldn't get a single one.

Funny. I only do them on one toon and she doesn't know all recipes or anything but she's gotten 3 since Homestead. Haven't been doing them before. RNG gods have turned their faces away from you?

I admit to not seeing one in a while but that has happened before - seemingly 3 weeks or more without one and then I get a couple. On PS4 so only had Homestead for 2 weeks, too early for me to make a call on low, or no, drop rate.

I still get them, but I seem to no longer get number V or number VI.

I think the rates may have been changed. I do notice a LOT more purple recipes than I used to get since homestead has been released.

There is some sort of bug here. Whether the drop rate was set too low like the master writ vouchers they fixed last patch, or people who already know the recipe don't get them any more, or something.

They've still been coming for me, and at the same rate as before. I think you might stop getting them if you have a certain number in your account though, because before Aetherial I hadn't been selling them and there were only around ten or so in my bank after like six months of doing 8 top level provisioning writs a day. Now that there's more demand for them and I'm selling them I get them more often.

Yeah takes me atleast a week to only get 1 out of 8 characters doing writs daily, for the past 3 months i've been back

I do 2 provision writs a day and have gotten 2 since homestead dropped on console.

So definitely not off the loot list. Before that though I went a couple months without seeing 1

They did the same thing to draugr motifs, 100+ guild dailies and 0 draugr motifs.

It has been just over four weeks now since Homestead dropped, right? With my four crafting toons (maxed of course) doing all the writs daily, that's a bit over 100 provisioner writs at top level. Out of those, I have received a total of six fragments so far (unevenly distributed of course, three are of VII). So... it's about a 5% drop rate for me? I have had two or three master provisioner writs during that period too, although for low voucher values.

I only have 2 crafters going... but I've been doing my top level writs daily since October when I hit CP 160 and not a single fragment lol

I'm amazed that you used to get them so frequently.

I do daily, one character, and have not had a fragment since Dark Brotherhood!! But had two drop since Homestead.

Xbox EU, my experience is the opposite!

Since I have a master chef ( one year and a half ago) received only 3 fragments . Yes only 3 in one year and a half!!

Also never saw an aetherial cipher since november 2016 when they implemented it.

I get them every other day with my 1 provisioner... is just rng

There is still the bug that you get the tier 6 instead of tier 7 reward and likely they won't drop in tier 6. But i've gotten one yesterday and another one recently but don't remember if it was before or after homestead. RNG mate.

I still get them as well. Doesn't seem to be more often or less. Wasn't super common anyhow.

I've been doing 8 max-level provisioning writs each day since Homestead dropped on PC, and in that time I've received enough fragments for 2 full recipes (although the distribution of which ones I've received didn't give me 2 full recipes - I've had to do a bit of trading).

my latest psyjic yellow recipe is up for sale - frags are still coming.

RNG is so funny. I do Provisioning writs on 9 toons, and if anything, I would say they got a small buff. I sell a full recipe about every week or so, but generally have to do some swapping to complete one. I think currently I have 6 of fragment IV and 0 of V or something like that.

I had been in a drought but did pick one up since One Tamriel. I haven't found a Cypher yet (or the dust for that matter), and I don't use the Psijic even when grinding, so I am not really in a rush at the moment.

I really really wish they would fix the CP90 recipe bug, though... I still do those writs, since I have a crafting bag and stockpile all the provisioning stuff I can, but I would prefer to have a shot at Fragments and Master Writs every day rather than only half the time...

I concur - it seems to have increased... but then... so have my tier-10 provisioning writs per day so hard to say.

I've never seen one on both my crafters.....saw the recipe cost in vouchers and gave up as my voucher RNG is about 2 vouchers out of only 3 master writs.

You can't possibly think 280 writs is significant enough to not be considered too small of a sample size.

I assure you they are dropping. I've done my writs on 2 characters about half of the days since homestead and I've had 4 drop. You happen to be on the unlucky side of RNG and I've been on the lucky side. It's still RNG.

Doing writs on 8 characters a day since homestead and I have loads of these fragments. Well, all except #3, I can't get that one to drop for anything. But I have so many of the other fragments I'm giving them away to friends now.
