I did not check if there were bots or anything in between, I just tried to rush the dolmens for my Fighters Guild daily quest, but holy hell it was crowded in Alik'r. I wonder if it is some sort of exploit or something going on? :S
This, on pc its even an addon service running most of the time who group you if you type +dolmen.failkiwib16_ESO wrote: »What is it with Alik'r Desert and dolmens, I play on PC/EU and Alik'r dolmens are the only dolmens zerged 24/7 by 40-50 people.... It's close to insane.

Alikir dolmen are some of the easiest to farm. They are relatively easy to get to since they are close enough to wayshrine. I learned about those dolmen at last year Halloween event. Then there wasn't so many people running them. After that event is when it seemed to start getting zerged. Or atleast on xbox na anyways. Ofcourse that event was happening at same time OT was released.

Mostly these are either ppl holding down heavy attack for hours OR possibly bots
I don't believe that removing Dolemans is the correct action as it happens in all forms.....delves, over world, etc not just Dolemans
One thing to note...threads aren't doing anything other than discussing what we see. We all have to open reporting ingame to make a difference and perhaps if enough tickets continue, it may lead to better adjustments such as requiring player movement and not attack animations
It's starting to look like it's open game again for bots, automating attacks, etc. I mean the last time something like this was going on, it was on bosses in delves, and zenimax did react. Zenimax isn't reacting now. I mean if someone were to get banned for automating any process couldn't they make a case for discrimination against Zenimax? (i.e. they were singled out while zenimax allowed widespread automated play elsewhere.)
The dolmen afk farming is just gonna grow, cause players are going to see everyone else do it, and are just gonna join in.
Yes, however it looks like its not the big gold sellers who are in action, back then bots was an real problem you could have 50 bots in lockstep running around, or the stream going into coldharbor, that is the reason for the 3 char delete limit.nimander99 wrote: »If you see several PC's standing in the same spot casting the same spell at a boss spawn location while said boss is not there.......
That is literally the definition of a Bot in action. Report and move on.
Bots are becoming a problem again, which is cray cray. I honestly didn't think id see bots after the great Bot Spider Boss War of Launch circa 2014.
Hopefully they, them, those people who handle bots will take care of the problem as effectively as they did last time. There are rules against naming and shaming on these forums... But did you know there are other ESO related forums where you could post a pic of bot? Just food for thought
I mean, I don't really care if people farm them. Hell, I've done it once when I was level 49.
What prompted the post was the very, very automated behaviour of several characters all standing together facing a spot next to the dolmen, doing the same thing, over and over again.
That's what I want to get rid of.
SO MUCH YES! That's brilliant. It would serve the botters right.RoyalPink06 wrote: »I wonder if a solution would be to have the exp drop only when you open the chest.
The only problem with that is that people like me will sometimes keep the game running while we make a sandwich/let the dog out/answer the phone, etc., and only go to the computer every couple of minutes to press a button or so to keep the game from logging out from inactivity. Of course, in those instances, we aren't going to be participating in any dolmen fights, but just standing there doing nothing.LioraValkyrie wrote: »What about this idea to resolve the issue: "if you don't move from co-ordinate x/y for 30 minutes, even if performing skills, you are disconnected from the server"?
