Who actually bought Manors? With Crown or gold.

Did not preorder Morrowind yet but also not interested on the Homestead until they get to implement storage. At the moment, I just have all the three free homes. Maybe when I get some attunable crafting stations and the DPS dummies I may opt for a apartment.

Nope. Highly frustrating because one needs a High Level Crafting Character
in several disciplines. The best crafting patterns need one Char being able to craft in two, or even three

Highly frustration to the point I want to flay the people who made this so. What where they thinking?
Most likely a business decision on their part so people buy from the Crown Shop.

Housing functionality?
At the moment just a Prop with no real purpose other than having fun decorating
and to brag about being a clever decorator.

Final assessment (my personal opinion) 20% of what housing actually could be, and
100% not worth buying unless you are an avid decorator.

So, if you like decorating (like I do) buy.
If you do not like decorating you will find houses (at this time) mostly useless.

This in turn screwed everyone in the middle with neither, which unfortunately is the vast majority of cases from what I've been able to gauge both ingame and forums

Nope, just no, no, no.

Not buying a house until/since:
- instanced, so yeah, who really sees this waste of money?
- Broken arenas
- Broken merchants (ie full functionality, still need to go to town, so what's the point?)

The merchants and fences thing is the biggie for me. So I portal to my house to use my merchant and fence, but then I still need to hit a major town as well afterward? Why did I bother with the first stop at my house? Why did I bother having a house?

I haven't seen a manor I absolutely must have. They're nice and I've seen people do some amazing things with decorating them, but for myself I like the large and medium houses better. I do rather like the island though, so it may be in my future.

I bought and fully furnished a large house with the gold instead.

The manors are the same size as (if not smaller than) some of the large homes so the price didn't make sense to me.

I bought a medium house with gold, spent 380 crowns on a few things exclusive to crown store, saving the rest of my gold and crowns for a Morrowind house

I won't spend anything substantial on housing that is essentially useless. I would rather take 3 min to zone a craft station than spend 800k g on the station for a house.
But, I recently purchased a new game to play. I hope that ZOS fixed the problems before Morrowind comes out, otherwise

I bought Daggerfall Overlook + 5 other various sized homes all with in-game gold. My Crowns I'm saving for one of the exclusive homes (haven't decided which one yet, but currently leaning towards the island retreat.)

oh, and I also pre-ordered Morrowind, but not because I think housing is lame because I don't. I'm having a blast decorating my homes!

Bought with crowns because I already had them stored, wasn't anything else to use them on. Daggerfall Manor, nice sized, kinda short on outside room, but I like it compared to the other 2.

I am not using a credit card. I want to use a Steam card but it is not set up to let me use a Steam card to buy crowns. I am not putting any money into the cash shop unless I can use a Steam card. What is the point of me having a Steam version of the game if I cannot use the Steam card to buy stuff ???!

They made houses so lame, I don't even want one and I can just use my friends house for target dummy practice. Why are they instances? Could they not find some plops of land to add various houses on for players to get? Or even build? Idk I just feel like Homestead is such a missed opportunity. It literally has nothing to offer, maybe if they added storage.

I guess I may be one of the black sheeps in this game. I probably have enough to purchase all the housing possibly available to a faction, but I still have no desire to get one or be a virtual interior decorator, and the achievement doesn't intrigue me.. and no, I'm not a gringe, it's not the Christmas timeframe. Ha ha. But.. hey, you cool kids have it and have fun.

Some of us aren't hardcore, just have been around forever building up gold with nothing big to spend it on until now.

I think some of the distaste for the pricing is because housing wasn't introduced until almost three years into the game. And those of us who have been here since the beginning have a built in advantage in obtaining houses with gold that does not necessarily come from greater effort or skill.

With the limited functionality housing currently has though, many people do not consider having a house to be much of an advantage.

I've not purchased any house for now, EVEN THOUGH I'm completely focused on Homestead: hunting blueprint, gathering materials, doing Crafting writs. My boyfriend @phunkeymonkehb16_ESO and I are creating a video-serie regarding Homestead called Decorating Tamriel, it is said that we really enjoy Homestead.

BUT, I'm totally not interested by a Manor. It's way too big to be fun for decorating. I prefer something more cozy. IF I was to purchase a home for my guild for example, I'd rather buy the Large Redgard, or the Tropical Island.

I haven't bought a manor and don't plan to do so in the future. I wouldn't know what to do with that much space (or even making it feel filled at all).

Yeah I could care less about housing (it really is pointless). I logged back in for the double AP week. I'll log back in for the festival, but other than that I'll be playing something else. I'll probably be back at it full time when battlegrounds launch, but if they don't do something about stamina builds I probably won't bother for long.

This is an accurate observation. But I think the vast majority of players struggle to even achieve over 200k in a sitting due to current economics ingame.

I definitely agree the current functionality and incentives to participate in housing are quite bare and poorly thought out.
