Homestead: wish list of furnishings - for future additions

(ZoS guys - please merge this to the one if this sort of discussion is already going on somewhere else)

This one's wish list of furnishings so far -

• Soap - for kitchens and bathing areas.
• Hot steam - to set the mood for hot spa. At the moment many ppl use smoke from incenses as spa steam, but it doesn't 100% look like steam actually.
• Short/middle/long rope ladder - should comfortably fit in many environments.

Love to hear other ppl's wish list too!

NPC's

Bartender - for those with taverns
Guards - I for one will not purchase a large home without having to place some guards to make it feel less empty

note I'm not talking about Merchants per say, just NPC's to fill out the emptiness of some of the larger homes.

For now I'm content with the inn room, it doesn't feel as empty.

Totally agree. Especially Guards - a large home looks less safe with no guards around.


On another note, more wishes for future adds to furnishings -

• Hanged rabbits or birds - nice decoration for kitchen.
• All those stealable "Treasures" - this one wants "Furnishings" version of them!

I like this idea; a bear skin rug with a bear head on it or similar for wolf, sabre cat et all. Pelts for floor and walls etc..

I'd like to be able to access the guild store via my Banker or another NPC.

Mini (or not) Ayleid Wells, complete with health buff. In fact, why not shrines to certain gods (like in housing in Skyrim), but that provide a timed buff to certain stats ?

I'd like to see more random movements from horses, pets, etc. I'd like my fighting skeleton to wander around a bit, sit down, yawn etc. (Perhaps not when in use though - that'd just add insult to injury!)

I'd also like more "structure" options, such as a stone fireplace, pillars, door surrounds, floor tiles / planks.


Of course, I'd like to see more general furniture options too. Craftable Imperial, maybe jinxed items like you might see on the Mages island. Anything to help bring house alive.

Finally, please increase the drop rate of higher quality blueprints. I have a max level, knows everything crafter......and I've found two.

Invisible flat thing with no collision that prevents the rain from getting through tarps, camps, planks when they're used as roof.

Weapon and armour racks with the ability to place your equipment on them for display.

A ladder that's useable so you can make second story platforms that are accessible without some makeshift staircase or ramp.

Those textile spinning wheels you see in some clothier stores.

A 'cluster' of several small items you can place that count as one item instead of multiple little ones. Could be dif themes - e.g. 'Library cluster' could have a stack of books, some letters and a quill that is arranged to be placed onto a desk. Kitchen cluster could be some bowls and cups and utensils etc. Would cost more and be more expensive to make.

This might be a stretch, but..

Armor stands - To display a variety of good looking armour, cause you can't wear all of it at once </3
Stretching it even further, it'd be so awesome if it'd be possible to make them double as saved gear sets.

What I mean is, say the armor stand has "slots" equivalent to what you can equip normally, so no excessive storage. Slap on a full set of equipment (on the armor stand), and then interact with it to replace what you're currently wearing with whatever's on the stand.

Built-in way to save gear sets, looks totally neato for happy roleplayers and saves up bag space for happy everyone. Win-win, right?

Unrelated, but y'know what I wish? That when we entered housing editor we had a way to toggle day/night cycles. It's really hard to edit things when it's at night during the game, and the housing lighting is really, REALLY bad. Even with like 50 candles it still feels a little too dark inside buildings.

• Hairbrush and hand mirror - a little decoration for bedside table.
• Stacked bowls, stacked plates - it can be made with multiple bowls or plates but wanna lump one so that it will consume only 1 out of max number of furnishings placement.
• A pair of sandals, shoes - wanna place it besides beds.

Great ideas in this thread! I hope the devs will peruse then and add many!

Would love a way to display disguises, costumes, as well as weapons and armor.

And can we please have the item cap raised? Or separate the inside and outside into different limits, because once the yard looks like a National Trust garden, there's barely enough room for the bedroll.

NPC servants, I want a Khajiit scrubbing my floors ( I tend to walk in a lot of bloody footprints ), an Argonian to feed my mounts, I also would like to place an NPC inside a cage to ward off possible intruders. A Nord cook because they make the best sweetrolls, a Breton to take care of my bank... @greylox already mentioned a bard...

A wooden guard post / tower.

Necromancer Altar ( it's a kneeling skeleton with it's hands raised, for a book rest ).
There are a few Necromancer enhancements I would like to have for my house...

& Since this is a homestead wishlist I would like a SHIP as a home. A Large ship...

It would be a perfect "guild home" for a trading guild...
