Even with the strongest group you will never be able to get consistent 120k AP/H for a long time due to the diminishing AP gains from repeatedly killing the same player and in big fights you rarely get a "fresh" kill.
How many times you've flipped Black Boot Mine for the 150.000.000 AP?
It's not 150.000.000 it's 150.000.000 MILLION
Would just like to say thank you for joining us in our roleplaying at Bleakers. Now that Brian shed some light on our true motives, I hope more Exile members, other than the usual 5-6 hiding around within tick range, will join us and make it a more enjoyable experience.
Maybe ill make some time to pay you guys a visit and roleplay griefing mouthy scrubs.
Please do. You are more than welcome.
In the meantime please watch the following video to get an idea of the endless possibilities at Bleakers.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ahy8p6AYRQ
So a single ZOS employee can't be arsed to log into their mod account, use bracket commands to port to the areas in question (don't forget to put away your pet when you turn invisible since there's a bug where opposing alliance players can attack it atm) and simply look with their own eyes, but these people have time to make a better video than the pre-launch "pvp in massive battles" advert?

ZOS made a misstake and EU community showed their real face. Gaining AP from killing people is something rude now. And can cause lots of rage. What have you done?

If you plan to demoralize the enemy alliance, you leave it open and farm them on the breach. Also a legitimate tactic and it sounds like the guy in that picture planned to use that tactic.

Maybe you could make that argument somewhere else, but within the context of this thread, it should be clear what the intended purpose of leaving the wall down is.

Honestly it doesn't seem that far off. Novice PvPers don't make a lot of AP. (It took me forever to get my first toom to Major!). They don't know how, and then they either die a lot or end up in a PUG group that makes little AP in the first place and then it gets split a bunch of ways. Getting their Warhorn is a tedious grind.
That is my situation exactly @NBookus ! If you have any tips on how to do better or can point me to a blog post on the subject I would be grateful.

Well Brian did reach out to me on my wall (I guess I can talk about this as it's public and not a PM?) asking where this was happening.
I am wondering (and worried) if ZOS doesn't actually monitor EU servers and that's why they didn't realise how bad this was until now. It would go to explain a lot of things about how issues are abused so much on EU and seemingly never have ZOS act on it.
Of course this is just speculation and we'll never know.
The thing is though ZOS could have stopped this right away by saying "agreed trading of AP is against our rules for Cyrodiil and anyone caught doing so will be punished" but they didn't and they never do when it comes to stuff like this.
I have written this post so many times and am sick of it, but it keeps coming up.
This is how CCP Games handles their exploits: https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/204873262-Known-Declared-Exploits
They have a website listing them to clearly say what they do consider an exploit as well as listing what they don't so players have a clear answer when they don't know (like animation cancelling STILL being reported as an exploit).
I have long said if ZOS ever want to have a reputation as a company which care about competitive gameplay in their game they need to stop outsourcing their GM/Support staff and get an in house team to deal with the botting/exploiting/RMT/server secuity side of things.
If this is the case they should be communicating it (ESO Live interview?) and making clear how they work to keep their game secure and fair.
This abuse falls on no one but ZOS and you can rant and rave at the players who make/made use of it all you want but it is years of ZOS' inaction which bred this "exploit/cheat until it's fixed" mentality ESO has.

The RP thing is just funny. Believe it or not, we still get whispers in game asking for invites to the RP/Bleakers guild. We even had actual roleplayers (kids talking in 3rd person, talking as a khajiit etc.) ask to join.
If Zos don't monitor EU servers I'm not sure what to say. There are numerous threads/pages on it (with trolling/arguing), and Kasa even said she may provide evidence to prove we're getting 190-200k ap/hr (without ap buff) tonight. I couldn't believe he said no one is getting over 140k/hr or however much AP he said. But it was funny to use as a troll.
However, the question to me is, if they decide to say flipping outposts/keeps is against the rules on the forums, will they do what they did with gapclosing, keep it ingame and ban anyone who decides to do it (a lot of people don't read the forums) or will they do the correct thing and adjust the numbers.
I do it for the lols at this point. My friends/guildmembers have bombed the outposts and made lots of AP themselves. When I get rage whispered by the opposing faction it's even funnier. When I chase one specific Epic Fail member out of tick range and he threatens to do unspeakable things to my family and also threatens to send the mafia to also do unspeakable things to my family I cry with laughter. I also love killing people afking and chasing anyone who is hiding out of tick range.

I don't see them handing bans out for this TBH, maybe they will take the AP back and lower ranks if that's even possible.
Time will tell, whatever the fate of the people involved I threw in my hat with y'all this morning (and will be following mornings as well) so we'll go down together.
I have said I plan to keep using this and I will be reporting it all in this thread (gains per hours, numbers etc.) I won't post any names publicly to respect anyone doing it but if ZOS ask for information (as Brian did) I will provide it to help shine light on what's happening.
*Edit
Also please can I have a guild invite, I can imagine the guild chat being quote amusing. If you want to keep this taddletale out though I will understand.

Bannable? I would hope not. This isn't an exploit of an unintended game mechanic. Banning for this would be the same in my mind as banning someone if they decide not to engage an enemy anywhere else for any other reason.

It's cheap and easy. It undermines PvP and really brings Cyrodiil even further from what many wanted from it (objective based PvP).
Ultimately it's up to ZOS to incentivize playing the map, but since they can't seem to do that (or won't), Cyrodiil just degenerates into an AP farming mess where the only Alliances are players interested in their own gain and everyone else.
When the player base has to police itself, it just ends up being reasonable people trying to reason with people who have the mentality of an 8 year old. Lots of "bruhs" and "LOL"'s. Their amusement rarely aligns with what is best for a PvP community so they play for themselves and belittle anyone who points out fault with that.

Well I'm catching up on the 26 pages now but from what I see, many of the "lols" and "bruhs" and the childish mentality come from the side accusing the farmers of exploiting.
It doesn't seem to hurt anyone, and I don't see many action on Haderus past midnight either. I'm pretty sure the people vehemently against the AP farming can go PVP between themselves on more active servers with higher population bars at night.
Look at the screenshots I posted. We're not talking about huge numbers of players. The guild is made up of pvp players close to reaching rank 50 and others who are more PVE-oriented, new to the game, and hunt achievements or easy currency. I have been up at Bleakers from midnight to roughly 8AM GMT, and there were at best 30-40 players there. I mean from what I saw on Trueflame, I doubt these are the guys degrading the PVP community.
I 100% agree with you however this has been an issue since launch and ZOS has never made a stand against it (to my knowledge) which has only set the standard it's fine.Sandman929 wrote: »It's easy to rationalize something you want to do. That doesn't mean that I'm going to think it's A-OK. It's a cheap easy way to take advantage of a game mechanic for personal gain. It's not PvP, and for me, it's not what Cyrodiil was supposed to be.
