Vivec's such a basket case of contradictions and inner conflict. I love it. He betrays his best friend, who basically saved him from a life of poverty and prostitution, in order to achieve (ostensibly) immortality and godhood. He then feels so bad about it that he rewrites his own mythic history so that it never happened .... although it still did and so he still feels pretty bad about it. He then basically counsels the Nerevarine to kill him because he's been a bad, bad magical hermaphrodite. But he's also not really dead, depending on who tells the story. My favorite character in TES. He is an encapsulation of how the web of apparent contradictions are actually part of the greater whole of what this story is.

Somewhere with internet access it seems.

Seriously though, I would much prefer to meet Sotha Sil in ESO instead of Vivec. But oh well, let's hope that he shows up one day too.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Alemaxia went mad in the end, even killing secluded madman that Sotha Sil was, is and will be. Vivec stayed moderatly sane even after playing "cave explorer" with Molag Bal. For some reason, I got the idea that Vivec is the one that care the most about his ppl.

"I love the people of Morrowind. I became a god to make their lives more comfortable and secure. I am most close to my faithful followers; I am literally in their hearts and minds. I feel the most sympathy with House Redoran; they are Dunmer driven by creeds and deeds, like I am. House Indoril is closer to the compassion and sympathy of Almalexia, a comfortable and secure serenity. House Telvanni matches the disposition of my brother Sotha Sil -- iconoclastic, profane, unconventional.
House Hlaalu represents the future of the Dunmer, integrated into the sophisticated mainstream of the traditionless, raceless, godless culture of the Empire. House Dres represents the past of pre-Tribunal Great House culture, a persistent tradition of Daedra- and ancestor-worshipping civilized Dunmer clans. And I even love the Ashlanders for their preservation of the most ancient barbarian tribal traditions of the Dunmer who first settled Morrowind."

    Gotta love the old fetcher.

Vivec? Not mad? He betrays and murders one of his best friends, he names his city after himself, he hollows out a captured asteroid and sits crosslegged in nappies just waiting for me to kill him. And he thinks he's a god...

If he wasn't mad it was only because I killed him before he went senile!

Killed Almalexia too, put her out of her misery. Don't forget her betray of her husband Nerevar. And I won't forget she tried to kill me, the Nerevarine.

And I'd have killed Sotha Sil , if she hadn't got there first.

I detest Ordinators and haven't met a Buoyant Armiger who wouldn't be better off dead. Going back to Vvardenfell might be problematic...

Then I dare you to pick a fight with the Ordinators in Mournhold. Finest warriors guarding Dunmeri citizens all over Morrowind.

But go ahead. Smack one. See what Dunmer punishments are all about.
