Dye Weapons with Morrowind?

On a side note would reskinning/remodeling weapon/armor appearances be too much to ask? I know this feature is in other games. Being able to transform the appearance of gear you love in to gear you love the look of too. Wow! I think this could add another layer of depth to crafting. (Maybe exclusive to 9 trait crafters?) Just throwing the idea out there.

It's odd but I prefer a lot of the low-level weapon and armor designs to the high-level ones, which tend to look over-detailed and awkwardly large in the case of weapons.

And I feel like you should be able to change armor appearance as well. Say, spend 50 appearance stones to change one. As I don't like the look of a lot of dropped sets, and I shouldn't have to create a whole new craft set just to get a different appearance for those.

Dying weapons I only care about because I'd prefer to have a normal sword color instead of one that's bright red or purple.

If it´s added to ESO ok fine, I wont use it though. The colors right now are realistic, based on the metal you use or it´s made of. Not very realistic with a rainbow colored sword/bow/staff.

The biggest reason I want weapon dyes is so I can have a normal steel colored weapon instead of a red light saber at end game. I don't want weapon dyes so i can make an obnoxiously colored thing, I want dying so i can go back to having something realistic. We can already change the color of platemail which btw i dye in realistic colors too.

this.... i think its really ridicoulos that everybody is forced to run around with candy sticks in a tripple a mmo... i am really tired of this and i think to give at least the option to "revert back to lvl 1 colors" would be something super easy...sure dyes were better

I think ZOS is doing their art team a huge disservice which is creating all those great designs which then look super crappy due to the color....

Doesnt have to be dyeing. It would be enough if you could choose the type of material your weapon is made of.

Red / blue blades are not realistic.
