I do want to be able to use the artwork from other materials and that changes the color and look on weapons more realistically IMO

We already have fat male orcs running around in neon green wedding dresses, it doesn't get worse than that.
NewBlacksmurf wrote: »SO to those 5 people who say they don't want the ability to dye weapons. We ALREADY are able to dye armor and shields. Dying weapons crosses the line for you?
@AlMcFly
1. Armor and shields already had dyes prior to it being added. We just couldn't change it.
2. Weapons however, don't already have dyes so, to me it's a big different thing but I also don't believe that random colors are better than actual materials
Whenever this poll question pops up, it really shows how we can band together as a community.
AKA Zos, we need this.. now. No one will be mad.

However, most people vote yes... in ZoS language: Yes means no, and no means yes. Remember crown crates? We all said no: so we get them. Sooooo many examples of this.

I never realised how much I wanted this until now.
We've got half-naked characters running around in bath towels. We've got characters sporting weird goggles and cooking pots on their heads. ZOS's original statements when the game launched implied their desire to keep ridiculousness out of their game. Over the past two years, their actions no longer match those original words. The ridiculous is now here stay.

In the case of the Crown Crates, I feel ZOS just made an executive decision, and didn't care about player input on them. To be clear, ZOS probably cares about players, but you CANNOT ignore the monetary boon RNG crates have statistically been proven to bring to company revenue. Despite the massive backlash, the revenue is undeniable.
Weapon dyes won't have such a drastic revenue affect, but it will ad a HUGE quality of life feature. It won't be a favor if they implement it though. It's something that SHOULD have already been in the game with armor and shield dying.

Agreeing with @NewBlacksmurf I want to have the ability to change the colour of my weapons, however I want them to do this right and limit the colours per area correctly. I believe they said it on ESO Live when this was discussed #NoPinkSwords
Honestly i don't understand this. We really don't need bloody rainbow coloured swords. That's just ridiculous and immersion breaking. Worst idea ever imo.
