Well the issue for the weapons is the enchantment overwrites the Default glow. I'd allowed one to completely drain and it show it Default glow

Dont think so... I have a Moondancer staff (precise) with a crafted glyph and it glows.
Seems like its actually related to the trait... For example, decisive dagger and axe of Alkosh and Moondancer dagger dont glow at all.But defending, precise and sharpened weapons seem to look fine, even if their enchant was replaced. Infused shields also look fine (the char on the pictures above wears an infused Alkosh shield).
