Homestead launch dates - What will you be doing until then?

I'm not very excited about housing but I will get the free starter homes and start the slow grind for furnishings that I like. Some time in the future (6 months?) I will get the biggest house I can afford, get eso plus for a month and then completely fill the house. Unless more functionality is added to housing I don't imagine I will ever go back to the house again after that.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

It would probably be a good idea for me to work out a plan so I have an idea of what I should be attending to. Like if I feel like being proactive and stuff.

    On the agenda thus far:

    1. Try to finish the questing in my last Gold zone so that I can buy the small home in the Rift and not feel like I'm slacking off when I spend months ignoring quests in favor of running around looting and crafting. I'm about halfway through the Rift so I should be able to finish within the next three weeks unless I get distracted (which happens quite a lot).
    2. Try to keep my inventory from imploding while I wait for recipes and motif pages to be stackable.
    3. Try not to be lazy about writs so I can stock up on surveys and hopefully get more of the blue and purple recipes my main provisioner is missing.
    4. Take my consumables crafter skyshard-hunting so she has enough skill points to max out her alchemy passives. Possibly do the same with the 3 characters who have been decon lackeys in case I want to do writs with them.
    5. Go shopping periodically for the motifs my equipment crafter is missing and whatever materials and junk I feel like looking for at the time.
    6. Try to do regular dailies for Yokudan and Draugr pages.
    7. Try to unload as much of the stuff I have for selling as possible to free up space and make golds.

And beyond that just the usual stuff I do anyway.

I have 15 million gold already saved up and about 4,000 legandery mats for master writs. I'm all set for the housing aspect. My big thing right now is learning traits on all 20 of my characters. It's a very boring and aggravating task that after I'm done I find myself not even wanting to play for the rest of the night. But it's got to be done. I want those master writs!

I have a pretty decent method of making gold. I can make around 250K a day playing for only a little over an hour. If I liquidated all my gold mats I could afford to buy every house coming out. I'm sitting on 980 tempering alloy alone and could make another 8-9 million if I sold those off.

The day housing lands I'll be streaming it all week. Along with going all out to furnish my house(S) I'll be showing and talking about my gold making methods. I will also be doing some in game gold give aways to celebrate housing and the launch of my stream. If you or anyone else is interested feel free to follow me on twitter for updates. Early on I created a Breton NB Stamina ( I was a total noob I know ) I've been transforming her into magicka NB (thanks deltia's gaming) crafted julianos. Farmed a couple of nice divines Mother's sorrow pieces. Now, camping dolmens in Deshann for jewelry. Anyway, having tried Homesick on PTS, there's nothing to get ready. I'll buy the small home, place a candle in it and move on to farming mats for housing. Big big payday ahead! :)

What do you think the price on gold upgrade mats will do?

Less gold in game = lower price? Or you think demand will prevail and price will rise?

As far as what I will do? Pretty much the same I currently am. I have enough gold to buy mansion and furniture but will be waiting to see crown store prices before making decisions.

I think those sitting on tempers etc will find fewer customers, as people will be:
1- getting their own from doing writs to chase the new items
2- holding onto their gold for their own house and furnishings

There will be far less liquid gold sloshing around the game. People with extra millions won't be buying from other players, so it will sit there in their banks, doing nothing.

My wife and I are just going to be playing the game. Between the two of us, we've got an aggregate 7+ million Gold, so House prices aren't anything we're worried about.

Without extra storage, there's not much to get excited about with the Housing update. Without extra storage, Housing is just a glorified vanity mount from the Crown Store.

The "balancing" updates coming along with Housing are pretty much terrible all the way around, so nothing to get real excited about there either.

So, yeah. We're just going to play as we always have.

    Doing nothing differently.

I can afford the price tag of the Count title outright, but I have no intention of buying any of the manors, let alone all three. The cost and grind of the furnishings and the fact that they don't provide the one thing I want most--storage--means I don't really care about housing.

I'll buy a modest home, throw in a practice dummy, and call it a day--so there's not much for me to prepare for.

I'm working on completing DB and TG, and doing dailies to get motif pages I am missing. And of course continuing to sell everything and make more gold. And completing random achievements. I finally jumped off that cliff in Wrothgar and lived on the first go, surprisingly.

I thought that way for awhile after playing on PTS but... I really want the "Lady" title and my money is just sitting there anyway, so I will likely just buy the manor. That said, it will just have to be filled with stools and maybe trees (can you place them inside? I didn't try) for fun until I can ever get some actual furnishings.

Change your day off to the day after launch day, you can trust this one about that. Launch day for a major ESO update usually devolves into 15 - 20 hours of frustrating hell while we wait for the patch to download, the game to start and then lag/crash for the first few hours, then the hot fix patch, the restart, etc, etc. Count on the game actually being playable 1 to 2 days after the update. Sorry for being pessimistic, but this one has endured this pattern for close to 3 years now and can see no reason why it would change with this update. ;)

Can't change my day off unfortunately. But at least in my timezone the patch happens in the middle of the night, and I have never had the download take more than an hour with the biggest update, so it can update while I am busy in the morning. So far I haven't really had many issues with patch days, but generally things have been up and running for hours before I am able to play.

Personally I think that ultimately the price will rise a bit. But first, it's probably going to be a little wobbly. People will be overpricing them trying to take advantage of the increase in demand, and other people who've been saving up a stockpile for this purpose will flood the market with them which will decrease the price. There may even be a very short period where they don't really sell much at all simply because everybody blew all their gold on houses. :p
