im pretty sure there has only been 1 person that was actually "perma-banned" and it was because he crashed a RP party dressed as a Klan member. the people in the videos from a while back im pretty sure were allowed back in. I have seen one of them. Heck even a popular streamer "codedplayerkiller" hint hint was "perma banned" for account sharing....but that didnt hold up. perma bans dont really happen

To answer the question the OP starts with, the top players are immensely better than most. Most DPS do not know what it is like to breach 50k single target in a raid yet there are players that can do it on multiple characters and the top guilds would kick any of them if they were found cheating.

The top players strive to improve constantly and do not look as cheating as improvement, it is fake.

This is no different than average players regularly pulling 40k+ yet there are players on the server that struggle to breach 20k dps on bosses.

Practice, skill, and a min-maxed build makes vMA stupidly easy - on every class.

I agree that practice and spending the time perfecting gear, build, and game play allows those with patience and persistence and time to outperform those unwilling or unable to put forth similar efforts in their own game play.

And while I feel the OP is calling out people who haven't done anything to suggest they are cheating, I will point out that the history of competition is littered with cheats and cheaters - and usually by top competitors trying to gain an edge.

So IF there are players using cheats or hacks or macros to gain advantages in ESO, history and human nature tells us it is very likley some of them include top players.

So to me it isn't surprising that some players are going to suspect other players of cheating - and while many times it is unfounded, we'll never know for sure and can only control whether we choose to cheat or not for ourselves.

AndyS used to upload videos of 590k score with ingame sound and full runs. I didnt see any cheating there but you never know. What would the cheating be in that case, maybe double mundus or something, idk. Its a good question yes. I think they dont give a single *** about cheating in maelstrom tbh.

if you do any PvE content long enough you learn all of the spawn location, their spawn times, and their mechanics. Once you have learned all three you can literally breeze through 90% of the content with very little effort past the learning. If you look at two people like Andy and Turbo you see they killing mobs as they load in.

It is widely known who spends more time in what PvE content by their scores.

I heard about someone who got CE to 'test it out' and did so in a PVE environment, and got banned within 5 minutes.

So I'm guessing it's pretty closely monitored now. Just rumours though, so who knows.

It also helps me learn timing of moves and such that some tools won't give players simply because the player has be reliant on the tool instead of themselves to improve.

I'm on console and best way to remove cheaters is treat all 3rd party tools the same, they are not allowed and you get caught using one, you get a short term ban. This way, there is no unfair advantage but if it is allowed, so be it. And if players are using 3rd party tools to cause an unfair advantage, look no further than the fact that they are allowed, some maybe ban but it is harder to decipher and keep all 3rd party tools at bay that could cause an unfair advantage due to the fact they open the flood gate by allowing them in the first place.

I'm so glad I'm on console.

All these players are on top of the leaderboards so they must be cheating, there's no way they could be that good...despite posting their builds and full videos of runs...no evidence to support this all speculation. What a pathetic thread. You know someone is a scrub when they accuse players of cheating because they are good at a game.
