Not at all happy with the xp potion not being a trophy item we can use anywhere, but something the whole server needs to pile on every 2 hours or less (given the xp buff is horribly bugged and randomly stops working just by walking through doors)...

    This approach needs to change.

Make the xp buff a trophy item so we can use it when we need during the festivals.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for the reports!

My character isn't a werewolf and had this problem as well. I have been a werewolf in the past for the achievements though...

    For what I could complete:
    • The questgivers were easy to find. Jester King Jorunn is hilarious
    • The Grumpy people have a really small activation radius.
    • I couldn't see the Cherry Blossom animations (i assume there is supposed to be one) - from the quest version or the reward one.
    • I like the furniture as a quest reward - nice variety from recipes/motifs/collectibles:)
    • Emeric's quest seemed to be really time intensive compared to the other two - since I cannot complete it I am not sure if the reward from it is better. If it isn't then this quest could use some adjusting (remove the dungeon delving and it would be comparable to the other two). If the reward is better then the extra work is justified.
    • The Pie was easy to find.
    • I found the Pie when trying to talk to the Jester King Emeric and Jester Queen Ayrenn at the Ebonheart Tent. Is there a reason we can't talk to the Jester's whose alliance we aren't in?

Here are a few things we're updating with the Jester event based on feedback:
    1. The flower blossoms should now appear on the NPCs you use them on.
    2. Werewolves inability to activate the dazzlers should be resolved.
    3. You will receive a pie memento for completing the Jester fest intro quest that grants you 100% XP for two hours.
    4. We've increased the drop chances for dazzler ingredients.

    Great feedback! Thank you!

Just as a side note, I've tried this quest with a former werewolf, who just leveled the skill line to maximum and then got cured again. I never put any points in that skill line. Or maybe the automatically unlocked ultimate counts as skill point too?

[*] What did you think of the rewards you received from the daily quests? What was your favorite?

So far I have only gotten banners, which I find useless. I wish they were nice pieces of furniture like tables or something instead.

[*] Were you able to easily locate the quest givers?

Yes, the locations were made obvious.

[*] Did you have any trouble obtaining any of the achievements?

Have only gotten a couple of them so far, but I think they seem reasonable. I did notice that the stealth one didn't actually require stealth, as I was on my completely un-stealthy character so I didn't even try and was noticed multiple times. However, I hope you don't change that because a lot of people don't have characters that are stealthy.

[*] Any other feedback on this event?

      1. The quests in Glenumbra to find items - while it seemed okay on PTS (although I wish you had picked areas nearer to wayshrines), this will not be fun on normal servers. I had to clear out half of each delve at least to get the items (killing and digging both), and this was with nobody else around. With One Tamriel, those delves will constantly be empty of creatures, and when other people dig one of the container versions it disappears so I predict there will be a LOT of people standing around in delves desperately awaiting respawns. This will be very, very annoying. My suggestion - add more diggables and make them not disappear when dug by another player.

      2. Please add some better rewards. Banners are useless and it would be so nice if there could be multiple furniture item possibilities rather than banners only as the highest drop rates. Recipes even, for simple chairs/beds/tables/rugs sort of thing (or even better, candles - because lighting in houses is awful). Currently, given the award list that has been shown by players, I will not be bothering with the event when it goes live because it is a hassle for no decent reward.

I can't activate the Dazzlers. It seems the four other people at the same spot as me are also having this issue.
Any AD character i talked to is unable to use the Dazzlers. DC person was able to use them.

Also, flower petal "bomb" has no petal animation (just the hand of the character moving, nothing happening but then the npc stands up straight).

I don't like these style of events that revolve around "run here, press X a bunch of times, then fast travel back to quest giver and repeat". Most people I talked to during the last New Life Festival stopping doing the quests after the first day because of how repetitive and boring they were.

I would much rather see you make events more like this past Halloween one where holiday rewards are gotten through normal game activities like completing dolmen's, delves, dungeons, world bosses, daily pledges, or even make them to also include activities in Cyrodiil as well so it's not just the PvE players that take part. It not only focuses the holiday event around more substantive content but it helps populate the underpopulated areas, speeds up being able to find a group for dungeons, and could even help populate PvP Campaigns.

And give us a Memento like we had during the Halloween event as well which allows us to easily activate the double XP buff from wherever we are without the need to go and find a wayshrine and then travel to a given spot every 2 hours which is just an added hassle when you're in a group running dungeons, in Cyrodiil, ect. This is not only far more convenient but it doesn't create areas that are incredibly laggy due to overpopulation of players in a small area that all show up for the double XP and then you have a bunch that stand around, go idle, start dueling, ect which all again contributes to unnecessary poor performance in the area. It would also be cool to get a physical appearance change using the Memento during the event like we had last Halloween as well.

What did you think of the rewards you received from the daily quests? What was your favorite?
Until now, I recieved 3 of the 4 recipes (combined rewards from two characters), twice the jesters banner, a few dazzlers and cherry blossoms.
I do like that there are housing items, but I wouldn't know where to put banners. As a personal preference I wouldn't decorate a house with standing banners (hanging ones would be a different thing). The dazzlers are nice. I haven't tried the flowers yet, because yesterday they were still invisible and also there were no other players around when I had them.
So, my favourite rewards so far are the ones I got from the achievements - the jesters crown and (especially!) the title for completing each quest once.

Were you able to easily locate the quest givers?
Yes, they can't be missed. Though I agree with one of the other posts here, that the map icon is rather huge. A little bit smaller icon would be better, I think.

Did you have any trouble obtaining any of the achievements?
They seem easy enough to get. I didn't get all yet, because of not enough usables dazzlers and not enough other players around. But, as mentioned, I did the quest only on two characters up to now. However, the achievement "Smile, in the Name of the Queen" seems currently not completable. When I met another player today and used the petals, it was counted towards the achievement. Using the petals multiple times didn't advance the counter. I though, maybe I have to use it on DIFFERENT players or at least different characters. But after the first, the counter didn't advance again, no matter how many different players I threw the blossoms at.

Any other feedback on this event?
As was mentioned before, the Glenumbra quest is rather tedious, especially since two of the three delves are a pain to reach. If the delves have to stay, I would suggest using the Illessan Tower for the dragon stuff, Silumm for the ayleid stuff and leave Cryptwatch Fort as it is now. Thus it would be much less of a hassle to complete. With the current locations I would only want to do this quest once per character and never again.

The recipes are decent, and the furniture is nice but I personally won't be using them. It also feels lacking. No motif this time?

Were you able to easily locate the quest givers?

Yes. The icon on the map is clear enough.

Did you have any trouble obtaining any of the achievements?

I have no idea how to use the dazzlers for the Daggerfall quest. Are they quick slottable? The pig quest achieve was also bugged, got it even though I was spotted.

Any other feedback on this event?

Lots. I don't like it AT ALL compared to the New Life or Witches' Festival. This event feels downright lazy in terms of implementation, the quests are boring, buggy and tedious. Most people will probably lose interest the moment they get their completion. I will elaborate.

There are only 3 quests this time round, which is ok, since doing 9 dailies on all characters like during New Life can get a bit grindy and repetitive. However, to make up for it the quests now are the most bland quests ever. I praised ESO for it's generally competent quest writing, and how it avoids the usual MMO tropes of boring fetch quests like "kill 9 rats and collect their tails". However, this rule is seemingly forgotten for the DC and AD quests. In fact, it embraces it.

For EP, you have to steal some apples and get some pig to follow you to the NPC. Ok, so this isn't just a fetch quest. Interesting. However, the quest turned out to be the world's most annoying escort mission, since if I veered off the path even slightly, the pig would disappear forcing me to restart. I tried swimming, but the pig refused to follow, then the game would say Princess disappeared and restart. There was an Argonian fence separating Ebonheart from the town below, and when I decided not to walk through the center door (since the butcher was there) and take a small detour around the fence, the pig again decided to disappear, forcing another restart. I found out from others that the butcher gives bounties to the player if she sees you, which is annoying, so I decided to stealth the entire way, only to find to my dismay that the butcher somehow sees through stealth, and has eyes in her back of her head, since I somehow managed to get spotted even when I was COMPLETELY HIDDEN. Unfortunately, ZOS decided to make her essential, because I was getting ready to butcher her (please change this. please.). And the two bridges to the jester NPC are blocked by guards. So you can't swim or sneak past. HOW BLOODY CONVENIENT.

For AD, you get some flower sprayer (which appears to be invisible) and have to run to 5 separate stupid sods in Vulkhel Guard and press E. Then do the same thing in Skywatch. And then the EXACT SAME THING AGAIN in the College. Why? What is the point of doing the same thing three times for three groups of completely inconsequential and insignificant NPCs? It felt like pure filler content, meant to keep the player busy just for the sake of it. It wasn't interesting to me at all. I completed the quest, got the box and moved on.

For DC, you're told by some Argonian (with no voice acting) to go get 8 items from 3 delves in Glenumbra. That's red flag number one. These delves are located in pretty remote and inaccessible locations and travelling back and forth from them is a chore. Inside, you have to kill mobs or interact with objects to get 8 pieces of some junk, then repeat two more times. That's flag number 2, since during events the mobs and items are going to get camped to oblivion. Once you're done collecting the skunk tails or bear asses or whatever, you return, and are treated to some cutscene. I thought that was the end of it. NOPE. I then have to go to 3 different arbitrary locations all over Daggerfall and use the dazzlers for some gormless NPCs, which I couldn't because the quest items were unusable and the quest journal didn't offer any help. I then abandoned the quest because I honestly lost interest by then.

Overall I'm actually quite disappointed with this event. Cut the number of quest stages/quest items for the AD and DC quests and FIX the EP quest please. I couldn't even bear to complete the event on one character, let alone the other chars like I usually do for the other events.

You must have missed this, but there are actually two titles. The first you already get for just completing each of the three quests once, the second is for completing all the achievements. And there are two collectibles. One is a crown, which you get at the same time as the first title, the second is a memento from the reward boxes.

seemed ok, i really like the crown and that you get it just for doing the quests, I also like the furnishing reward, kinda over getting recipes for events, they are boring, would prefer motifs, furnishing items and costumes.

Were you able to easily locate the quest givers?

yes really easy with the mark on the map.

Did you have any trouble obtaining any of the achievements?

no, although im not sure how some of them will work when there are heaps of people doing them, like the 5 specific people you have to cheer up.

Any other feedback on this event?

The animation for the cherry blossom and petal pelters (i think thats what they were called) seems to be missing, my character moves her hand and there is a sound but nothing happens.
I think the Glenumbra quest is annoying, having to go to three different dungeons, it took so much longer than the others and didn't seem like a festival event, just a standard quest. The firework bit was cool, but would be better if the ingredients were more easily collected and closer to the quest giver.

Alright just processed through everything and I have a list of bugs and feedback for you:
First, more important than my opinion, bugs/issues and relevant feedback on those:

      ===== ITEM ISSUES =====
      • Cherry Blossom Branch: When using this memento or the consumable variant, the player applies 87963 'Bestowed Cherry Blossoms' with a .5 sec cast time onto themselves with a duration of 24 seconds. This 24 second buff has an aura for Active Effects but doesn't appear to do anything, in addition to there being no visual effects present whatsoever. The branch needs to be manually aimed at another player in close range when used to do anything else. When a player is in the cone range, 89372 'Pelted' is applied, and it has no visual effects associated with it. I assume this is currently a WIP. It took me a bit to figure out how this worked, I think it would be better to have it directly apply to a selected target rather than function as a "cone attack."
      • Candied Jester's Coins: When using this food item, there is no actual stat buff applied to the player, the ID that should be applied appears to be present in this build and is 89955.
      • Dubious Camoran Throne: Dubious Camoran Throne has an odd issue I'm not sure I understand that is shared with Jewels of Misrule and Witchmother's Potent Brew from the Harvest Festival. When the player initially eats the food it applies a buff on them that displays in Active Effects window. Everything works fine, but upon zoning into another zone, 2 additional buffs appear in the Active Effects window for the player for each of these foods. I'm not sure if its a technical limitation, but it's distracting to see multiple buffs for one food on buff frames. The following ID's display only after zone transition (and perhaps logging out as well), these should be removed from the Active Effects window:
        Witchmother's Potent Brew - 84732 & 84733 both named 'Increase Health Regen'
Dubious Camoran Throne - 89958 'Increase Stamina' & 89959 'Increase Health
Jewels of Misrule - 89972 'Increase Magicka Recovery' & 89973 'Increase Health'
(Note I haven't had the chance to test Jewels of Misrule yet but I'm fairly certain it has the same issue) EDIT (1/14): Jewels of Misrule is currently suffering from the same bug as Candied Jester's Coins, where no food buff is actually applied.
      • Princess' Delight: When using this food item, the Magicka buff applied onto the player is 84678 the same ID used for the Sweet Sanguine Apples item from the Witches Festival. It's also worth mentioning that Old Aldmeri Orphan Gruel from the New Life Festival has the same issue. Each one of these items could be using a new ability ID that was added in the respective patches. While its FUNCTIONALLY the same to use the older ID, certain player made addons may replace the specific ID's icons with a unique display so I think its a good idea to switch them to the newer ID's added which are as follows:
86560 = Old Aldmeri Orphan Gruel
        89956 = Princess' Delight

      ===== QUEST ISSUES =====

      A Noble Guest
      • EDIT (1/13): When attempting to steal Mudcrab Apples, the player receives a bounty if they are seen using the interactable basket. However, they can also animation cancel with dodge roll or outrange the basket before the cast time finishes on looting the apples. This leaves the player with a bounty for not even stealing the item.
      • After completing the quest the player can interact with Princess with the "feed" prompt and feed her again, causing the Pig to follow the player around. It appears to despawn if the player leaves the relative quest area, however you can pretty freely wander around Ebonheart with the pig in tow.
      • When the player is seen by the Butcher searching for her pig, if they are detected, abilityID '89243' Butcher Awareness is applied on the player. This effect has a 15 second aura in Active Effects and does not need to be displayed, as far as I can tell the only effect is adding a Bounty to the Player.
      • The Princess Rescuer achievement seems to be rewarded regardless of whether or not the player is seen by the Butcher. I got it on my first turn-in even after prancing around her in town for like 2 minutes trying to figure out what Butcher Awareness did.
      • The implementation of the butcher detecting the player is rather limited, from what I can tell you always get a bounty once you get into a certain proximity with no other considerations. I walked up to her with an invisibility potion active and still received a bounty and a verbal lashing to boot! ;-)
      Springtime Flair
      • When the player uses the Pedal Pelters on a grumpy NPC, they use 87474 'Flower Garland.' This currently appears to have no visual effects associated with it.
      • The range of Pedal Pelters for this quest is very limited, its certainly fitting to have a short range considering the idea is you're just tossing flowers on a dude, but adding a little more to the maximum use range would bring it into consistency with other quest items.

      ===== FEEDBACK =====
      • What did you think of the rewards you received from the daily quests? What was your favorite?
For the most part I like the design. I enjoyed the Auridon and Stonefalls quest as they were reasonably short and had a good theme considering the concept of the Jester's Festival. The Glenumbra quest was a little too long however, traveling to 3 delves clear across the zone took far longer than the other quests. It sticks out considering the time vs. reward compared to the other quests. I feel like if these quests hit live in the current state I'd just do the other two dailies and leave the Glenumbra one alone after getting the achievements for it.

Additionally, the reagents Jester King Emeric has you gather don't seem like anything that would actually be useful in making the firework-like Illusion Dazzlers. I think a possible nice alternative would be to have the player go to only one delve to collect materials OR remove the delves step entirely and make the player visit and use Dazzlers in the 3 towns - Daggerfall, Aldcroft, and Crosswych.

      • Were you able to easily locate the quest givers?
Yeah, the map icon is an excellent addition, thank you! Would be nice to see the former events retrofitted with a map indicator as well next year!

      • Did you have any trouble obtaining any of the achievements?
Other than the issue I mentioned above in the quests feedback, the achievements seem to be working correctly.

      • Any other feedback on this event?
Nice to see more seasonal and "fun" based events in game, these kind of quests always add some charm to the world and fun things to collect. Also, my dudes, FIREWORKS \o/

I have not tested this myself but still please read on

Regarding motifs, were they potentially withheld because of the encouragement to hoard them. Whether some wanted to resell or to save for future alts and/or people who missed the festival, They created clutter but were worthy of keeping because of limited time rarity. Has it been thought to make them complete motif books? Lower drop rate complete books so keeping 4 full sets would be 4 books instead of 52 or w/e pages. If motifs do stack now that would alleviate a lot of that situation

Thank God there are no motifs with this event.
There will be 4 other motifs to grinf for in update 13. The game is already becoming Motif Grind online. It's too many.

Cherry Blossom Branch memento doesn't appear to do anything. Nobody is going to want it. With no motif pages or anything else worth collecting, this "festival" is going to be xp only for most players.

What did you think of the rewards you received from the daily quests? What was your favorite?
I haven't really received much just mementos and the crown! My favorite is definitely the crown. :P

Were you able to easily locate the quest givers?
Yes, they were easy to find in the starting areas.

Did you have any trouble obtaining any of the achievements?
I having a bit of trouble understanding some of the achievements. I don't know if the quest changes daily and if haven't done them all yet, the colors one is confusing me.

Any other feedback on this event?
I'm happy that it seems to be less quests you have to complete, unless I'm missing some, compared to the new life festival. Although one or two more quests would be good!

@The_Last_Titan Remember Motif and recipe pages are supposed to stack in the next update. So that should help some.
