An Update 13 Rumor I've Been Hearing.

So with the Update 13 fast approching I've been hearing a bit of a rumor. I've tried looking into the rumor myself but with no luck in finding any information. The rumor I've been hearing from several players is that the Dragon Knights are going to get a major buff in this next update. Is this rumor true and if so what sort of buffs will the DK get?

    In a Reddit Ask-Us-Anything session, Wrobel (lead combat designer) said that there will be fixes for magicka DKs in Update 13.

    "Wrobel". I've seen that name on the Xbox - NA server PvP campaigns. I think they are 1st place on EP for Haduras. Wonder if it's the same person. Could be spelled differently too.

    @Emothic No thats just some person that changed his gamertag to Wrobel he has no affiliation with ZOS he should be banned for impersonating a Zos employee but since it's his gamertag it's a Xbox Live thing so ZOS can't do anything

    LOL. Being the lead combat designer, he's also everyone's favorite punching bag, so you will often see characters named after him (typically in jest).

    The only confirmed buff, that we know of, is a Dragon's Blood re-work. Wrobel (the real one) also mentioned that they had a good list of buffs planned for general Magicka v Staminan DPS, and that they were hoping to make health a more desirable trait, rather than having us just stack our Mana or Stam pools. I'll edit this post if I can find the quote :)

    We always take feedback seriously. One Tamriel was so huge we had to focus on the balance and new item sets. With the next major update we will be focusing on class balance and abilities. We have a pretty cool new version of Dragon Blood planned that will help magicka DKs while maintaining it's power level for high health characters.
    Yup, we definitely have planned a good list of buffs for magicka DK and also balance in general for magicka vs stamina DPS.
    We want to make DK's have a unique playstyle that does not include an execute ability. Instead we want them to focus on pressuing enemy's health bars with DoT effects. We've got some sweet changes for magicka DKs planned for update 13!
    We're already got a pretty significant list of buffs for magicka DKs coming with update 13 and we have been reading your feedback.

    But yeah- magica DK will get some buff, but we still have no idea what it will be. And noone knows if it also apply to the DK class as a whole

    I really hope there's just a buff in general to DKs, I'm tired of using weapon abilities on my stam DK since in PvP DoTs do not cut it as you can heal through it, shield stack them, or even purge them to oblivion; don't even forget that DoTs are double affected by the CP passive.

    I really want dragon blood to have a reduce cost along with all skills on the DK skill line but I also want the dragon's blood morph to for stam regen to restore stamina while the coag one to restore health similar to that of a sustain restore potion but to a great effect.
    Hardened armor needs to have it's shield expanded or removed and replaced with something like more blocked damage or something.
    The unrelenting chains need to continue to restore magicka if the target cannot be pulled but also be a taunting type ability that provides minor fracture/minor breech (I would prefer it to be a reduced cost stamina which restores the stamina cost if they cannot be pulled ofc).
    Talons and other abilities like it (sorc frag soft CC) need to start applying a cc immunity since I'm tired of skills like that or bombard holding me in one location till oblivion arrives.
    I want Standard of might to return to 200 ulti cost while shifting goes to 150.
    I want stone giant to become a stam morph while the other version becomes a heal leech that takes 50-75% of the damage dealt and returns to the player health + magicka (half magicka of what was spent if it hits a target).
    Lastly I want both versions of inferno to be changed. Flames of oblivion needs to go back to it's AoE form while cauterize, I'd like to see it become a ground leech heal ability that drains resources and replenishes it back to the player.
    I did forget I do want helping hands to give 10% stamina back.

    Well, maybe my DK alt named "Remnants and Racks" will get some game time. I'll just pile her inventory on my Bow/2h NB since he's a squishy unloved turd anyway. Yea!!

    I'd like to have the old magicka version of unstable flame instead of burning embers as it is. Especially if dragon blood is properly fixed

    I, for one, hope they don't change stone giant or FoO. Came up with a set up they utilizes both as they are. Stone giant actually hits extremely hard when it CCs, and FoO can hit pretty hard as well. What makes FoO specifically nice is timing it so it fires with a power lash. That's a lot of damage in one gcd.

    Ex: cast FoO>empowering chains (still buggy)>stone giant(empowered)>flame lash>power lash (FoO fires as well) this combo is a lot of damage and fun to pull off

    Also problems with stone giant being a stamina morph are that weapon skill lines have a few good CCs already and that helping hands would give it a pseudo cost reduction that would be op depending on your max stam

    Mag DK and dks in general are pretty unstoppable in 1v1 and mag dks are really good in group play. I don't know what buffs they can give dks without making mag dks too OP, or indirectly buffing stam dks which are already the best class in the game
