They're not exactly cheap, so it keeps everyone happy. ZoS still get their $$$$$ and we get a token that allows us some room for error.

I'm on PS4 and I have no idea how to go about doing screen shots (I think it is possible though). Plus I'm past the point from inside the creator, thus have no way to post a before and after picture. Some people may think the character looks fine, so a screenshot wouldn't prove anything other than I wouldn't have accepted those changes personally had I known that was how those changes would have been represented in-game.
If I remember correctly, press and hold (for a few seconds) the 'share' button next to the directional buttons. You'll get a confirmation message at the top of your screen. Images are saved in the Capture or Image Gallery folder.Prof_Bawbag wrote: »I'm on PS4 and I have no idea how to go about doing screen shots
If you don't have a free character slot, then you can go do this on the PTS. Actually, if you have the PTS installed already, it's easier to just go do it on the PTS because you can "buy" free appearance change tokens on the PTS, so you won't need to delete-and-recreate if you need to make adjustments during the process.
If you have a free character slot, what you should do is create a new character with the appearance that you want, and screenshot all the slider positions. Then log into that character to see if it looks alright in actual gameplay. If not, delete it and try again, and if it looks right, then use those slider positions for the actual appearance change.

You know.. they should consider adding numerical values to those sliders. That makes recreating characters easier.
Or even better, let us save character files that we can load later. EQ2 and BDO do this. I'm sure there's others.

That would require time which equals money.

She looks ridiculous. That's not all, she also has a different hair style (that's not a biggie at all). All values were locked and short of throwing another 1000crs for an appearance token, just for it to turn out differently again no doubt, I wish they would give us a character creator that gave us a better representation of what we actually created. The way the creator is locked after creation, it's a costly pain up the backside.
Those race change tokens aren't cheap, yet one of the features it offers us is fundamentally flawed. Happened in Skyrim too to a lesser extent, but at least we had an in-game option to fix those issues.
