BUG!!! The TRAINEE gear set only has Training trait. PLS fix it ASAP!

After wasted 6 treasure maps, I found this big bug! The game only drop Training trait TRAINEE gear. It is impossible to drop the other traits. ZOS, please fix it ASAP. Don't let people waste their Treasure Maps.

Given the set's name I'm pretty sure this is not a bug, but intended.

Not a bug. That's actually how it's intended(Not even using the sarcastic "working as intended" thing here)

There are, however some named items that come in different traits from the trainee set. You get them as quest rewards. (sharp 1H and impen shield come to mind)

You can get some pieces from quests with better traits for example a reinfroced heavy chest, defending 2h sword and a sharp 1 sword

That's not a bug. It's 100% intentional which is why most people normally go with a 3x Jewelry & S&B or Duel wield setup.

Yeah from chests, make sure you have the treasure hunter cp passive and you have a chance to get purple from advanced or master chests

Not a bug.

This set is designed to drop in starter zones of each faction.
And what is the best trait for new players?
Training.

There are some unique items from that set where you can get some other traits, combined with jewelry, you can actually make this set worthwhile.

Also worth noting that it does indeed drop in other traits from chests (Not just from quests) but that is extremely rare.

After going through several hundred treasure maps, i have 4 trainee set pieces that are not training from treasure chests.
They are not unique items like the quest drops, just trainee set items with other traits.

Bear in mind, though. If you use trainee weapons - when you swap bars, you temporarily lose that 5-piece bonus.. ie you lose the health/mag/stam..

I use 3 jewels, the reinforced chest and take the hit with trainee boots to avoid that.

The final quest on Stros M'Kai, I think... though it's been awhile.

Actually it might not be reinforced... I couldn't remember exactly what it was, but someone above said you could get a reinforced chest so I thought 'must be that'.. It's called something like the 'Queens own Cuirass of the trainee', and it may be the block cost or roll-dodge cost trait. Not ideal for me, but better than training!

I see some weapon in an other trait (sharpened bow I think), but yes, basically, trainee is training trait

After that, even with high level, for "normal" (not dungeon probably) PVE, training trait is not so bad if you consider it gives a nice improvement in champion point progress.

Trainee generally drops in training trait. But there is like a 0.5% chance to get Trainee gear in other traits. So if you are really lucky, you will get prosperous chest.
