BUG!!! The TRAINEE gear set only has Training trait. PLS fix it ASAP!

Trainee set in different traits can be obtained by doing quests in all 3 alliance starter areas.

I advise you to lvl at least one char to CP160 before doing these quests.
And for jewelry, I would say go for chests with propperly invested CPs, I found purple rings and necklaces that way.

One thing to note, having the set on weapons/shields you will temporarily lose the 5 pc max stat bonus with weapon swap and it will have to regen/heal back to full.

It is this way with any max stat tied to weapons/bars including shield enchant and any passives tied to skills slotted. It has been this say since day 1.

If those two are part of the 5 piece bonus, then yes. If you have 5 armor pieces and/or jewelry, then swapping trainee weapons will not make you lose anything.

My "adventurer" char runs full trainee on everything, all armor, all jewelry, all weapons. Weapons swap works just fine for him.

Neither, this is a Treasure Hunter character, he doesn't fit in any of the normal roles (No need really).
Full set of 11 trainee pieces ...

He's a pet sorc specializing in all things electrical and his CP is spec'd to get the most out of farming mats, treasure chests, thieves troves and the such as well as raking in CP from kills (each piece gives +10% Cp from kills).
Oh, and he's also a 9 trait master crafter for clothier and alchemist.

This is one of my 4 main characters ...

You can get a medium armor well fitted chest from a quest in khenarthis roost. Don't use weapons, it takes the health off you then has to regen it when swapping bars. So unfortunately I have to use a training medium armor belt

Purple robust jewellery was a pain to get. With these more food, trainee is an awesome set.

Trainee is versatile. Very good for PvP.

Use it with a stam nightbalde with spriggan, max stam &
stam recovery food.

Magica dk, use with sun and skoria, max health & max magica & magica recovery food.

Probably loads more viable options.

Trainee is very versatile. The total amount of stats you get once CPs are factored in is just incredible.
I would run it 100% of the time except that mDK needs other sets to make up for its weaknesses at the moment.
If we ever get updated this will likely be BiS.

Apparently they are incredibly rare drops. I farmed a lot of chests and every piece I got was training though.

Weapons are readily available from quests, but never use them. Bar swapping becomes an issue if you do.

I have a sharpened dagger and a defending 2h sword that I golded out purely with the purpose of running the reinforced heavy chest, 3x jewelry, 1x weapon on both bars for the trainee set... but boom I lose 3500+ health every time I swap weapons.

I spent like 25k on treasure maps and only got training armor bits and jewellery. They're still rare in treasure chests.

Yeh, it's annoying. Pretty sure it can kill you too lol. Best I can do on my NB currently is 3 jewellery, well fitted medium chest (quest reward) and a training medium belt.

Can't say what the actual chances are, but they are very rare. I didn't think about keeping track of what i looted after 1T dropped. I'm also not sure how much the treasure hunter perk plays into this (or any other factors for that matter).
I had several hundred maps stashed away waiting for 1T with a good portion of those being for the starter islands.

I'd say no more than 1/500 for world chests, probably even worse than that (I opened a LOT of chests).
I'm not sure if i got one from an actual treasure map.

Yes, i'll have to dig through my stash (I am close to 1000 set pieces now), i have a total of 4 Trainee items (1 weapon, 3 armor pieces) that aren't training and aren't quest rewards.

This is not a bug; this set is found early on in starter zones. It is as it is designed to be; I enjoy the set for my new characters. Please, I do not want to see a change to this. And as many have already pointed out, the use of Trainee consistently, is consistent with the name of the gear.

Why don't we just swerve and change the title asking ZOS to allow this to drop in more non-training pieces.

Right now it's very hard to use with another light armor set, you have to run 5:2 heavy:light with 2 training pieces.

Some sturdy, divines or impen light and medium pieces would help a lot.
