I, for one, like double exp events. Normally grinding for many hours is god awful, sickening experience, but if it its double exp event, it is exciting, even though it is basically the same god awful, sickening experience. I will also buy some XP boosters and make it more than double exp event for the ultimate excitement, even though bonus stacking will be probably broken, but that is to be expected, given how difficult is to make bonuses stack. Perhaps I will buy even some scamboxes, once I verify that the basic concept of random stuff in a box is not as evil as gambling haters say.

I can definitely see myself getting some alternate weapons up to 50 during the event. Of course, I'll be traveling for much of the event, so we'll see how useful it actually turns out to be.

People are already grinding the Anchors cause of the One Tamriel sets. Ever since they were brought in you can't fight an Anchor without twenty other people showing up.

Pretty much this.

People farmed dolmens because it was like hitting two birds with one stone - getting plunder skulls from bosses and new item sets from one tamriel. No such thing as plunder skulls this event, so I don't see why dolmen farm population would increase from what it is currently.

@White wabbit When I ventured into Cyrodiil to get all dolmens on my EP PvE character, on a map that was more or less all yellow, I kept expecting to be ganked. But it never happened. I'm assuming next to no PvP players go near these things? The campaign was active too, so it wasn't a campaign that had finished. Even managed to get some delve clearances in to because I grew in confidence. I only ran into 2 others and those were fellow EP players.

I don't even understand the complaint ...

Max CP is 561 . People spend tons of money on XP scrolls and drinks . This saves them precious money . Be more festive for others instead of a Grinch .

I'm just going to do the quests on all my characters everyday and try to get all of the things on at least 1 character. If I do that, and have time, there is one more character I have that I need to power level, so this might inspire me to do it. But leveling her isn't the main thing I want to be doing.

Yes. I believe most expected it would be based off that. Some kind of keg you drank from that gave increased xp for 2 hours. Drinking again would refresh the buff.

Yes double XP again, maybe I will reach 900 CP by the time this is over. Time to roll a couple of new characters I guess.

No wonder there are so many players out there with 200-300 CP who have no idea how to run a dungeon. There have been so many increased XP promotions going on that people are leveling up before they can learn how to play properly.

I created a new character during the witches festival and reached level 50 inside 4 days - and some would call this slow! If a new player levels their first character inside a few days, there is a more than a fair chance they have not learned the game, do not know the dungeons and do not have a great build.

They then complain when the they get kicked from PUG's, the dungeons and world bosses are too hard and need nerfing, etc. All of a sudden the game is full of elitists snobs. Reaching CP160 in a week or two does not teach you much about the game.

XP is good but why are they doing this is a question which i already know answer because they want to shut people... recent patch lags and performance issues remember ?

Ha ha, the game doesn't teach you anything about itself. No proper tutorial, it was bad before 1T now it's even worse now. Xp boost isn't going to hurt or help either way. The forums are full of proof, just read some of the comments asking for this or that.

My new imperial DK that I got for free is looking forward to it. That+grand xp scrolls from scroat crate+full training gear= 3-50 in less than 4hrs.
