... people will start complaining about content being too hard, because they think getting high enough cp will make things easy. Then nerf will come ruining perfectly good content.

I only have 1 character and participated in the October event and went from level 42 to cp 260 through hard grinding. Currently I'm at cp 335 and will try to take advantage of this event and hopefully reach cp 561 so that I can be more effective as a dps for vet content.
As a new player these bonuses are very beneficial for me as to where I can level up without getting "burned out" and tired of the game, trying to reach cp 561 over god knows how many months.... just so I can do more challenging content. I do not have a lot gold to constantly buy xp boost potions, and I'm still in the process of researching a lot of gear for crafting.
I know this may be hard for some, but people have to try and think of other player's needs and benefits, instead of their own. There are other players who need things such as this to get caught up.
Uh. Do anchors even grant that much XP? People crowded there during the previous festival for the skulls. Not for the paltry XP. If you want XP but don't want people crowding you, Maelstrom is an excellent private-instance grind spot.
Some guy just gave me free money. I hate that guy.
