That's actually an interesting idea, that would mean you can have 4 part or 5 part but 2 hander takes 2 slots same as DW.

Because 1 weapon is 1 weapon.

The same reason you can't put 2x enchants on a 2h.

People just need to let this go, 2h is strong enough in pvp.

I have to agree. But it is sad when you dont want to have something done simply because you cant expect those responsible to balance it properly.

Aaaaah pues como chingan. Because it's one weapon. Maybe they need to do some balancing to make both usable in pve, but this isn't the answer.

so then staves should be 2 pc? lol even in dual wield each sword is 1/2 of what a 2 handed weapon would be statistically. So there is your answer.

Actually, this comparison of yours is crazy. One can have both 2 rings and 1 necklace. One cannot have both DW and 2H. Still, as long as 2H gets compensated in any way to make it worthwhile, I'm okay with it. Atm it is strong enough in my opinion, at least in PvP. It has got considerably more burst than DW, which is a fair trade off I suppose. For PvE however, I feel 2H is the weaker choice compared to DW. But that is not because of the fact that it only counts as 1 set piece.

We can approach this logically and make good arguments but in the end unless there is some form of significant player mass uprising on this topic then there is very little insentive for ZOS to change anything because in fact nothing is broken.

So lets consider the 2 weapon slots. When you use a 2H weapon then 1 slot is unused but both the character hands are used.

In real fighting scenarios a combatant will not limit himself to a single 2H weapon when there is places on his body to store additional weapons however of course while using a 2H weapon any other weapon must remain stowed.

Such stowed weapons in this scenario above represent a passive cabability that can only become active when the 2H weapon is no longer in use.

For ESO, one way around the inequality for 2H users over dual wiald users is to allow the unused right side slot to accept a weapon being slotted thus giving the character the benefit of the set bonus and the trait but not the enchant of course as this is an active in-use benefit.

making 2h count as 2 set pieces would make it substantially better in PvP. @h hase a gap closer, execute, and CC ability. the only thing dual wiled has tha comes close to that is an execute aoe ability. if a 2H counted as a 2 set pieces it would make the balance of the game even more off than it already is.

It would be balanced if magicka users could have access to short staves or wands..... magicka users getting more spell dmg from swords than staves sound more absurd than a 2 handed counting as 2 sets.

this can also be fixed if they create a new armor slot like a trinket for example. then everyone can have 2 sets and a monster helm

This thread is a perfect example of the deterioration of communication between ZOS and the community. I would imagine we would stop seeing threads like this pop up every 3-4 days if ZOS would just release one single statement somewhere on the forums saying "We are looking at changing this, what do you guys think? *poll*" or "We have discussed this and think that 2h should remain as one set piece" and that would be that, everything condensed into one thread where there can be a constructive discussion.
