Changing it is a waste of time.
Zos priority on this is the 1,563,379 so it will eventually be changed in the year 2027.
Seriously, it's such a non issue and not worth the effort for Zos.
Im sure it takes less time then you spent commenting on my post
In before you get called a whiny SJW for having an opinion.

Well that didn't take long
What some of the above posters need to realize is that no one's really crying and screaming for this to happen. I agree with the OP that it would be a positive change, but I'm not really expecting the devs to do it or anything, and it's not really something I'd ever even want to be a priority for the dev team.
It's just something to talk about, because it would be neato. Nothing more.

The word kick is completely unacceptable, as is removed. I believe that we should change this to "hugged out of guild by way of unicorn" and award them with a completely justifiable participation award in the most inclusive font available.
Of course this is just my opinion and everyone knows all opinions are always welcome in exactly equal measure from all sources.
I will now retire to my safe place and pet my bad feelings animal.
Trump won on the no more PC premise, I think we will see even meaner things than "kicked", more like "was a horrible player" or "too much of a noob to stay out of red". May even be a timer like the pug timer, "15 days to L2P, before another guild has to carry through group runs".

Oh deary me, such an EVIl use of strong diction! I cannot fathom how anyone could possibly deal with these mean words!!!!! They are just.... Terrible.... I am starting to cry just reading it! They make me feel sad ): Excuse me, I need to cry myself to sleep with my unicorn, Sniffles. Ze always makes me feel better!!!!!
I cannot believe that people actually take things like this seriously. If this really bothers you, then clearly you have never experienced the real world. This is not a kid's game. Please do not ruin the game
with petty complaints and toddler-like feelings.

When you right click on a player, you get the option to "remove" him from guild, but on the guild history, the word "kicked" are used. I feel this looks more negative then the situation is, and some players can get uncomfortable when they see this. Just a small detail of a thought I had
I say leave it as is.
It accurately describes what is going on. Someone broke a rule, caused a disruption, or did something else contrary to good sense. The word for removing someone in any of those situation is kicked.
Is it negative? That's a matter of opinion. I could say 'has been removed' is offensive to me, and I could make an argument that removing a part from the whole has a spiritual context. So does that mean we have to find something else? Maybe that's offensive to someone else too?
No.. the word has no bearing on real world ethics or sensibilities and has been used in MMORPGs for at least 17 years. Let it stay. Its a word used like Mob instead of mobile object, agro to determine how much attention a mob gives a player, and raid to describe a group of groups. Its part of MMORPG culture.
If I had a dollar for every time I had to explain to new members that no, it's not a mass exodus, please don't panic, I'm just cleaning the roster of inactives...Agreed. And there is another issue. Other members in the guild see a message saying "@randomguildie left SoAndSo Guild" when actually they were kicked. To me this is a way bigger deal than the way they worded a member being removed. For obvious reasons.
Give the one removing a choice.
Removed
Kicked
Banished
Ridden out of the guild on a rail.
Tarred,feathered, then kicked.
That should give the Kickee a better sense of why.
Why thank you, good sirStovahkiin wrote: »*tips hat towards Mythic*
Don't forget to give them a warm, cuddly hug and tell them what a winner they are!Stovahkiin wrote: »Give the one removing a choice.

Since we apparently don't want to hurt anyone in any way, we'll have to change it to:
"(Player name) was politely and respectfully walked out the front door and then was given an ice cream cone and a pat on the head."
Trust me, PC is already at this level.timidobserver wrote: »This thread takes PC up to a whole new level.
@guildleader kicked @randommember from Guild. Have a nice day
