It procs from direct damage, ie. not channeled damage or DoTs. It shouldn't be proccing from Biting Jabs either.

I feel confident selenes would proc on the light attack before jabs and not jabs.

I would need to see this, if shouldn't proc on jobs or rapid strikes.

It procs on jabs was watching my mate last night confirmed.

Selene isn't proccing on Jabs per se, but rather the burning light proc of Jabs. Jabs and Rapid Strikes are considered DoTs by the game, and therefore are not considered "Direct melee damage".

Nope. The difference matters.

1) As this isn't proccing on Jabs but rather burning light, you can used your ranged Aedric Spear abilities to proc it. (Although, why would you?) Blazing Shield will also proc Selene.

2) As it procs off burning light and not each individual hit of Jabs, you are getting 4 less chances to proc it. Burning Light has an internal cooldown of 1 second, which means there will only ever be 1 proc of burning light per jab cast. This means that you have a 3.75% chance of proccing Selene on a single cast of Jabs instead of 63.75% chance if it procced on the main cast of Jabs. This is a very significant difference.

Selene procs on steel tornado and rending slashes, but yeah rapid strikes doesnt seem to proc it and thats the reason I dont use it in slot anymore
