    Okay, so I am getting upstairs far more consistently (60-75% of time). Thank you so much for you help!
    To review, here is what I am doing:

    2) potion (speed/crit)
    3) lay caltrops and endless is middle
    4) hold a poison injection/heavy attack and release when boss spawns
    5) lay down trap, hit with blood craze, and then bloodthirst
    6) boss teleports
    7) grab defensive sigil
    8) endless hail and poison injection boss
    9) run to healer and kill
    10) CG has usually spawned by now
    11) run to boss to draw CG and boss together
    12) endless hail and melee CG until dead
    13) DPS boss/get clanfer next to portal and kill.
    14) take portal up
    15) reapply potion
    16) live long enough to damage a couple crystals, but inevitably get knocked off of upper ring (usually by some big blast thing-NOT a skull attack, I can usually dodge those)
    17) die

    Any suggestions for this part of the fight? Your help has been envaluabke.

    Also, when I die before going up it is usually to something called necrotic stab (or something like that)

    dont wait for the boss to spawn to drop your trap, it lasts looong
    this fight is very single target so you may want to replace caltrops with a bigger dps booster
    you really dont need the def sigil till after the crystals, the advantage of it is that you dont have to bash when he does the "flameshaper" thing
    Yes he does that right before going up but he'll probably only be able to throw one out before going up which you can heal through easily
    whereas when you come down you're probably bottomed on stam making the defensive super usefull because you wont have to bash at all and can focus eveything on dps and execute

    you dont need to kill the CG if you're quick
    as soon as the boss goes to the center to tele up get to the portal stone and get your hail down
    do this right and you can kill the clannfear as he gets to the platform
    that way you can go up before the CG can reach you
    CG should only be a concern if you fall of the top and have to go back up
    the boss kills the CG after all 3 crystals are gone

    that being said another does spawn around execute so be aware
    i typically ignore this pawn and dps dps dps dps with a lil bit of praying

    dots on crystal 2
    hid behind moving wall for explosion
    reapply needed dots and dps crystal 2

    finish crystal 2

    dots on crystal 3
    hid behind moving wall for explosion

    I seem to have hit a DPS wall. I get upstairs pretty consistently, but I struggle once up. I can get one crystal down, but not two.
    Any help greatly appreciated. Also, do the walls spawn randomly, or in a pattern? Thx.

    Your welcome.

    Told you about the defensive sigil didn't I.

    Works a treat.

    The above notation is correct apart from you have no idea where the wall is starting or finishing so movement is going to be in your hands.

    When you go up, boss will throw a crystal frag lets call it. Pre-pare to dodge in 5 seconds or so.
    Wall will then be next
    After Wall 2 crystal frag
    NEVER take your eye off boss you can straife your camera towards it at all times, when you get really good you don't even have to look at boss to know it's coming.

    The rotation is exactly the same,

    Now let's say the wall spawns in a *** place, you dropped the ball and can't get to it.
    Drop down through middle, grab healing sigil, prepare to kill CG.

    I did this strat when I was first learning and couldn't stay up the whole time.
    After wall 3 it gets hard if you don't have expedition skill or VO.

    I'd like you to watch my video or anyones for that matter but I'm MORE noobie than the really really good videos so it may help you.

    Looks so easy, lol. Okay, I will watch multiple times and try to pay attention to details. One thing I was wondering about is that you seem to dodge roll "by feel". In other words, you don't seem to be looking at boss. Do you have the timing memorized (is that even possible)? First skull seems to fly 5 seconds after you go up. Next seems to fly 4 seconds after first wall destroyed (if I am remembering correctly).

    Yes I do it by feel as you mentioned.

    I know by the time I look at boss at a quick glance from the first to second skull I know timing when to roll. Which makes life so much easier.

    You actually have a very large window in which to roll dodge this attack. From the point the boss starts casting all the way until the projectile is in the air and about to hit you. Easiest way is once you see the boss casting roll dodge in a few seconds (exact time is not important). You don't have to wait until the projectile is in the air to roll dodge.

    It feels really weird but try it next time. You complete the roll dodge before the projectile is even cast and it will still just go right by you.

    You can also hear the skull attack, being able to recognise that sound saves you a lot of time where you can keep your eyes on the crematorial guards, crystals and gold ghosts. Be sure to turn off the music if you haven't and practice that.

    As far is a know there is no point in killing the healers, since she respawns, so I ignore her and focus Daedra while still maintaining dots at boss.

    I hate the execute phase, clear all 3 crystals, def. Sigil, dot boss catch 3 ghost etc.. over run by everything by then with the summoner in the center getting his big guy up.. dead.

    you should be able to just def sigil and burn boss
    thing will spawn but ignore them
    you'll kill the boss before the summoner finishes

    Never even occurred to me to turn off the music. I will definitely give this a try when I get back on. Thanks for the advice!

    Usually I grab it right away as the fight starts. This gives me enough time with the sigil to DPS the boss to 70% and kill the Guard and healer.     I use a stam nb and it works best for me. I drop endless hail and trapped beast plus ultimate and I almost never have to deal with CG. I then kill healer in case I get knocked off top but normally I'm able to clear crystals with no issue.

    Don't worry you'll get it if you haven't already. I recently made a thread of my failures and that same night beat it. Now I've completed it about 6 times since then. It will click eventually.

    Getting up top every time now with help from this thread.

    My main gains were :-

    Blocking the skull instead of dodge roll (I'm getting poor response / lag on rolling, bar swapping and Synergy (sigils etc) activation)

    Using defence shield and putting AOE on boss then ignore him till CG dead, generally boss is under 70% by the time CG is dead.

    Up top I get too two crystals then have a random death, get knocked down or explosion or comet what does the wall actually block?. Just need to learn that sequence too, phase two!!

    Am nervous ill have no ultimate or defence sigil phase 3 but will cross that bridge later and always rework phase 1 if I need.

    I use an immovable potion when I go upstairs so that I don't have to bother about the knock back.

    Up top there are a few mechanics you have to be aware of:
    1. Constant DoT damage that increases over time (make sure you keep self-healing up).
    2. Small AoEs that appear under you (keep moving).
    3. Boss fires skulls at you (keep an eye on him and block or roll-dodge).
    4. Explosions that knock you off (stay behind the walls that appear or jump off before). Each wall that appears moves faster than the last one.

    #1 + 4 are reasons that people say to jump off the wall on purpose before the third wall appears as that wall moves too fast to easily keep up with it and the DoT damage you're taking by that point gets hard to deal with. At that point it is better to jump down and deal with a Guard and Clannfear and once you teleport back up the DoT and walls will reset.

    Ideally you'd like to destroy all 3 crystals in one take but you have to be able to do good damage and not make any mistakes up there. As you're learning the round it's better to take your time up top and do one crystal at a time while keeping an eye out for the boss's skull attacks and when the walls appear.

    Phase 1 is easy now, dot up boss and stay on him after he moves/bash dot... crystals are tough dot and move stay alive get behind walls.. jump down if you can't get them down by 3rd wall.. 3rd phase is rough grab defensive sigil (and all the others) while chasing qold ghost and dotting boss.... stun and unload dps as fast as.you can... took forever to get this down and is very unforgiving when we lag or messup.

    My solution to this part was real simple - grab power sigil and DPS boss to 70% before the CG spawns. Takes some practice and I guess it might not work for all classes/builds, but I am *not* in top end gear or anything. Shoot I'm using Trainee + Spriggan.

    when the boss looks like he's going to throw a frisbee it's the skull which you block like you said
    if he's about to skull you and theres a meter coming down ROLL DODGE do not block, else youll get cc'd and dot rip
    when he starts floating up by his staff he's gonna slam like molag kena does so get behind a wall
    this animation is very long and drawn out so you'll have to get a feel for how long you have before you need to hide
    be sure you're not wasting time and you have dots up on a crystal while hiding

    gonna just throw it out there again cuz it helps so much, dont grab the defense sigil till you come down
    also, throw a vigor as you kill the last crystal so lava doesnt rip you
    and then dps dps dps, once you get those crystals down you're golden if you follow this

    Good point, as the the 3rd crystal does down I try to hot and pop potion
