Mag sorc for life.

But why limit?

If I could have only one character slot, I'd pick a race that'd be versatile enough to work for both stam and mag, like dunmer.

Then I could respec to whatever I desire.

Mag Sorc, was my first char. I originally started him because in Skyrim I always wanted to play as a sorcerer but never managed to do a full play through on one so i figured I'll start as a sorc in ESO.

I can't play this game without a magicka templar. I can play other classes and enjoy the game more, but I can't do veteran content with anything other than a mag temp ....I HAVE L2P ISSUES x_x

Magicka Templar

If I only had one character slot, I'd still run with the Magicka Templar that I run as my Main now.

I don't do or worry about "end-game" or any of the Meta. I've built my Magicka Templar the way he's built because it's fun, and it works very well with the Questing, Crafting, and Farming that I do now.

My Templar is exceedingly fun to play, and that's the most important point that I considered when making my choice in this poll.

If my Templar wasn't an available option, my second choice would be my Magicka Sorcerer, and for all of the same reasons I listed for my Templar.

I get that they're all the rage at the the moment but that's not why.

I played hybrid Nightblades since early access, when soft-caps were a still in the game. Now you have to be all in, so I am.

My biggest peeve with any magicka character is not being able to run more than 10 feet.

It probably sounds silly, but that alone has kept my 2 magicka characters neglected for years. If I slot enough stamina to make the character enjoyable to play, my damage is bad, so all stamina it is.

Could we get a nice pretty graph of the preferred spec of players? So, on the characters people have the most /played time on, show the class they play with the spec decided by having at least 50 attribute points into either magicka or stamina.
You can parse just NA PC for the sake of time

If I can't make magic in a game that game is dead to me so there is only one choice for me. Magic users should first be a mage then maybe something else. My only caveat is that I might be a mage-in-name-only since I prefer fireballs and the Templar has all the fire magic but I would probably still be a sorcerer.

I guess since I have 4 it's got to be magplar. I like the versatility. I know every class can play every role but the magplar is the best jack of all trades class imho.

Magsorc is and has always been the only class I play. I'm not good enough to develop muscle memory for more than one class. I leveled up a templar but I hate the colour of their skills. Magicka DK appeals to me but it still comes down to muscle memory; I believe I can only play sorc.

My Bosmer magplar is the first real character I've invested serious time in.

And whilst I am dabbling with an Imp stamblade and a sorcerer, the Bosmer is my first love (so to speak).

And I'm totally not just saying that because she'd happily gut me like a fish and have me for dinner if I abandoned her.

I do not even have to think about it. Magicka Sorc, for me most definitely.

I always have played, always do play and always will play - Magicka, Magicka, Magicka!

I find it amazing how many other classes try to emulate our skill. Yes, they can go on pretending that they have special powers but they have not got a clue where real power comes from.

It is not only through study & knowledge of the arcane that our talent comes from but from the very core of our essence - our DNA and genetic make-up. We are truly rare and special entities.

Hybrid Imperial DK tank - have had her since closed beta and will always have her. She can tank anything, live through most anything, and looks amazingly like Jennifer Lawrence. Not a bad combo!

Not trying to limit of course, just curious what people's "be-all and end-all" spec would be, if attributes were permanent and you only had one character

No love for Stamplar? In all seriousness Stamplar would be my 1st choice for a Stamina build

Templar was my first class but I'm going with magicka nb. I enjoy the theme and class abilities much more than Templar and I have almost the same versatility.
