- The patcher will display the server as NA, but this is a display error that will be fixed soon. Server selection (NA or EU) can be chosen once you log in.
- The size of the patch should be about 2.3GB. Let the update fully run; the step for verification sometimes makes it look like the patch is much larger than it actually is.
The problem is that even though our "The Elder Scrolls Online" folder is already 50GB+, it still wants to download the whole game, since we only get a "Install" button. For me, it says that I have not enough disk space, even though I have 55GB free. It is pretty wierd. I guess I have to redownload the whole game -_-

Ah - 55GB free for a 50GB download - no you don't have enough space. Windows does some pretty weird things like copying twice then transferring and it has to have room to expand when downloaded etc. For a 50 Gb download I would rcommend at least 80Gb free.

That was not my point. Of course I would need more than 55GB for a 50GB download. I was trying to say that it really wants to download the whole game again, instead of just a patch (for which 50GB would be enough)... but the problem is solved now anyhow (see above).
Yes, this would be the ideal way for it to show up IMO.I would also like realm status back on the launcher - I understand that the launcher now covers NA, EU, and PTS, but could there not be 3 lines with lights on the launcher? So it could read:
NA Server (little red/blue light indicating status)
EU Server (little red/blue light indicating status)
PTS (little red/blue light indicating status).
Looking at the launcher now, it all looks very pretty, but is missing the vital information about whether I can actually log in to any particular server.
The sad thing is, I don't think it is that complicated to do, I am not the world's premier web guru but I think all that would be needed is for the launcher to ping the servers and see if there is a response, and display a red/blue light for each server depending upon response time. Unless I have completely misunderstood how it works, it's not rocket science.

To be honest I'm NA and that was the first thing I thought too when I saw that those are the options... Maybe a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but I'd think it might lead EU players to feel like they're an afterthought.lordrichter wrote: »Arthur_Spoonfondle wrote: »If you try to launch the game, notwithstanding maintenance being underway, you will be presented with a dialogue which will ask you to select from "Live" and "Live EU". Just a comment that this text is all wrong. It should say the server name that people use, not this NA-centric "Live" and that other server, "Live-EU"

We don't think we're an afterthought.
We *know* we're an afterthought.
ZOS .. why fix something thats not broken? i dont understand
pipelighter wrote: »This whople post is really frightening me - I don't understand. Surely when I open my launcher I can choose the EU server and log-on as normal???
Please tell me |I am worrying over nothing??
You then need to wait a minute or two until the text below where you put in your username and password says "Welcome to the Elder Scrolls Online on the European PC/Mac megaserver!"
Then you can log in as normal.
For now you'll need to check that text and maybe wait or use the menu to switch servers every time you log in, otherwise it defaults back to the NA server and you'll be presented with either your NA characters or (if you don't have any) the character creation screen.

Patcher Updates
We’ve made several updates and changes to the ESO patcher in this update.
- The patcher will no longer have a selection for the NA and EU realms. Instead, the selection will now be made in-game.
- You will receive a pop-up when you first log in after this update to choose a preferred realm.
- If you have characters on both realms and frequently switch, you can find this option under Settings on the login screen.
- Known Issue: The patcher will still display “The Elder Scrolls Online (NA)” as the main server. However, both NA and EU are accessible by selecting that realm. This will be fixed in a future patch.
- The PTS will still be accessible in the patcher if you have that option selected to display.
- There will no longer be a red/green light indicating the realm status on the patcher.
- This is something we’re exploring as an addition in a future update.
- The image on the installer and the background of the patcher has been changed to a new image of the Tamrielic map.
- If you regularly play on both realms and run different settings for add-ons, these settings will be reverted to default.
- There will be an update to the patcher that we encourage you to download before attempting to launch the game after the maintenance for this update is complete.
