Would be a nice lvl 50 perk for each crafting tree though no doubt zos will monetize it if so make it either an eso plus perk or make it a buyable pack like imperial edition. "Style Conversion pack" like 2000-3000 crowns restyle any gear into a currently known style

I think monetising will cause a practical issue:

If you only can customise an existing set when you meet the following 4 conditions:
    1. A. You have the relevant perks (lvl 50 etc)
    2. B. You have the existing set in your possession (which when used is Bound)
    3. C. You have the relevant Motif
    4. D. You have the "Style Conversion Pack" or a special gem, to be purchased for Crowns, and used up per restyle

There will still be no possibility for a Crafter role player (who collected all motifs) to restyle sets for other players.

Not totally true on that last thing if zos can code and design it they can follow ffar or mabinogi mmo and create a crafter trade menu both games had options to open a menu to craft enchant and change another players gear without it ever leaving their inv this included bound stuff in those games. If zos really put a couple pennies of time and money into it tgey could massively bring crafting and crafters back to life and massively boost crown motif sales.

    You are right :)

With some effort there should be a technical solution that cannot be abused

    and most important:
    * gives more satisfaction for the Master Crafter role in our community
    * gives every player fun again in walking around in cool gear of his liking

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU

I wouldnt even mind if they gave this option to the crown store, we already have (some of us) the option to turn much of the gear into imperial style, if they gave us the option to buy from the crown store the option to be able to turn gear into another style, like mercenary, I would be totaly fine by that. Atleast there would be an option, cost or no cost.

Another way to reach the same goal could be to make your own costume in your desired style.
To make your personalised costume !

    * You would have to buy an "empty" Costume from the Crown Store without precise shape and without textures.
    * A Master Crafter or you yourself can make a kind of hologram snapshot of your desired style or style combination of the Armor set geared. This hologram snapshot can be traded 1to1 or in Guilds.
    * When you activate the hologram snap shot on your empty costume, the costume fixates and becomes account bound.
    * A new tab to Appearance would have to be added for your personalised costumes.

This should be a win-win-win for all three parties: The player, the crafter and ZOS / the Crown Store. Also the Guilds.
It also offers more possibilities than only restyling,
    for example:
    1. You like to have a 7/7 LA appearance of a style, but you wear a 5-1-1. The same with HA and MA.
    2. You like a certain style very much in golden, but you can only afford purple, especially when trying out all those new sets.
    3. You like a certain style but only in the more plain make-up of the blue upgrade.
    4. You like the more blue-ish appearance of the CP140 HA, instead of the reddish CP 160, but want to gear up ofc in CP 160.
    5. You like a more plain look, for example MA Hide Armor of lvl 16-24, but are already lvl 50.
    6. You like a certain disguise and want the costume version of it. Perhaps all the more because you want to use a certain Hair Style on your disguise, which is currently impossible (you get always your vanilla hair when wearing a disguise)
    7. You do not like the asymetrical Shoulders of a Monster set, but none of the sold costumes is to your liking.
    8. You like a certain combination of different styles, but that combination is not viable for combat.
    9. etc

Pretty much every DPS build BIS is twice born star.
    Most tanks are running Tavas
Most magi builds that aren't using TBS are using Julianos.
Likewise builds are using night mother or hundings rage
Every character I have that does any TG or DB dailies is using Night Silence

There are some niche builds which use Kragnac or maybe eyes of mara

I'd say crafted gear is still getting a fair run.
Mostly I'm just bored with the crafted sets and want more, new things!

But that's a very small number of crafted sets compared to the total of them. Oblivion's foe? Alessia's Bulwark? Trial by Fire?

I agree actually. Also there are sets like Hist Bark which WERE great, but then they changed how the game functions and are now pointless.

Mostly I was just pointing out that crafting, currently, isn't unused and has a role in end game.

I'll be very sad if OneT negatively impacts this and I hope ZoS will be keeping an eye on it as a possible area to address in Update 13

i have an idea for this. allow crafters to make an item that can be traded to any player.

for example: i have a greatsword of some random motif, i want this new badass motif that just came out. so i call on my buddy "Tim", who happens to magickally have every motif ever released. i tell him "hey dude can you make me a motif change item?" Tims replies "yeah brotato chip, what motif?". i tell him "that new unicorn fairy motif with the rainbows and ***". so Tim goes over to the blacksmithing station with a unicorn fairy motif stone and another mat designed to make these motif change tokens. he crafts it, and PRESTO! sends it to you...you send him some gold for his troubles, and click on you weapon to apply the stone, working the same way an enchantments works. you have a motif change item for heavy armor, metal weapons, wooden items, medium armor and light armor.

on second thought...maybe you could give the ability to make these items to enchanters? i don't know...but this would be an easy way of accomplishing this, also encouraging players to actually buy motifs again!

i know i would LOVE to motif change my crappy blood spawn appearance to be full ebonheart motif...

I agree!! for master crafters, there should be an option to re-craft the particular gear to an another motif, maybe even to an another trait and another level too!

    oooh yes.

I believe from what I've seen on previous threads that straight-up 're-traiting' an item would be a bad addition to the game (balance and hard to code etc etc)

Re-styling nothing wrong and everything right with it.

Re-levelling? I would 100% be on board with that idea, having to re-craft for alts when I could just upgrade their gear for much less fuss would be great.
