Probably should change all my cp to offensive cp in order to kill people because even being able to hit 10k noncrits on a nightblade is not enough to kill people apparently lol.

It took 5 or 6 of us (most higher ranks) a ridonkulous amount of time to kill ONE low rank 340-something CP player at blackboot yesterday. It was quite frustrating.

finally got my first piece of mara's balm in a rewards for the worthy bag...

i gotta be honest, i'm not a numbers guy, and to be even more honest - some of the conditional proc stuff goes over my head...

if it works though, either because i get what's happening, or because a bunch of other folks get what's happening - i'll get around to using it...

yeah, i keep reading the 5th piece set bonus and i'm like, okay???

actually my first thought is that i should re-equip more plaguebreak...

(2 items) Adds 1487 Armor
(3 items) Adds 424 Critical Resistance
(4 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
(5 items) When a negative effect is removed from you, restore 2111 Health. When you take damage and have 6 or more negative effects, cleanse all negative effects. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.

i have not earned a single alliance point on any character on the EU server this whole campaign...

that's kind of crazy...i can't remember that happening in a very long time, maybe never...or, at least it hasn't happened since i started up on the EU server during the summerset release...

i remember going straight in to cyrodiil as soon as i hit level 10...it was crazy, got jumped as soon as i ported in to rayles, rode out the gate and started heading to glade...

i can't remember exactly what it was, but, the other alliance player had a good bit of cp at the time...this DC player showed up, saved me and killed them, i was so stoked...

i still remember their name: Rentner...over the years we've fought together a lot, mostly as fellow randoms (somehow the EU DC solo players seem to know how to show up at the right spot most often), occasionally a part of the same group...

still appreciate them jumping in to that first fight i had on the EU server, and even more so, for winning that fight for me

i seriously miss playing with those folks...

i don't really feel like doing any build/gear changes at the moment, but, sooner or later wanna put together a crit focused build on my stam warden...

I have been getting out there on both the NA server and when I get the chance to play during the day, also over on the EU...

actually just cleared 164k AP pouring flaming oil on folks at both roebeck and brindle...wasn't really anyone else there (2 other DC were at roe, and 1 at brindle) defending with me...

probably my best AP haul ever, 164k in about 20 minutes...

for those interested, there's less than a 2k point difference between first and third on the NA server...

been a run (5 or 6 months maybe) of great campaigns (close but with my alliance winning ) over on the NA server...

switched toons, on a roll, just made 220k defending rayles and then warden, capturing glade and breakers, then defending bleakers...

switched toons again and made 125k just defending glade for like 20 minutes or so...

I'm on like an AP high

game keeps getting harder to log on and stay on....find myself mostly just conversing in zone chat...but ad zone chat is pretty lame in gh tbh.....feels like I need something drastic to happen to bring back the fun the game once provided for me.....or I just give all my gold and mats to some lucky rando and move on? or just give up on pvp and grind out more master anglers....decisions decisions lol

I agree I feel the same. My favorite mode battlegrounds being ignored and Elden Ring adding colosseums seems like my replacement for my BG itch. It's a shame cause Battlegrounds are my favorite mode in this game but Zenimax continually does nothing with it for so long. While battleground weekends are a nice addition, it happens too infrequently to have me stay in the game

i'm still plugging away and sieging, defending and fighting...

haven't been able to play evenings on EU gray host for what feels like almost a year now (more like about six months)...there's just no balance during p.s.t. weekday evenings...occasionally i'll take the time to log on during the day while working from home...

i've switched now from spending most my time on EU to going back to playing NA gray host more...there've been more than a few times though where the lag gets so bad groups of enemies just move, freeze, move a good distance, freeze again, show up a good bit from that point, and so on...

i can still grind out AP and play a bit, but, it's pretty silly...

other times i'm able to have a little smoother gameplay experience, but, it's bad a good bit of the time...

supposedly ESO is changing their release formula for 2023, hopefully it'll give them more opportunities to work on performance...again, supposedly the new host equipment and performance enhancements will be complete on the playstation platform by like April 2023...

one thing is for sure - i ain't never giving my stuff away or deleting these toons which in some cases are seven years old...

i am playing less though, and, to be honest, getting better sleep now

unfortunately yet another non-competitive gray host campaign on the EU server...

thankfully the NA server is still rocking and rolling...all 3 alliances are within a couple of thousand points of one another...it should be an exciting finish

A lot of Playstation EU players are moving to NA because they are sick of always fighting the same few people in a very laggy environment. I guess that's good for crown store, because players have to level up everything again. All the assistants, riding speed, guild skill lines, housing items... EU is empty, while NA has a queue for hours every day. And the strangest thing is that the performance on NA is better with a full server than empty servers on EU. Even for players from europe.

not to get too preachy - but, life's a lot about how YOU perceive it, respond within it...

full disclosure - i've been in weekly therapy for about nine months now...so yeah...always a story behind the story...

anywho - just had an absolutely marvelous adventure over on the EU side...got on around 12pm pacific standard time (p.s.t.)...playing my magplar - i love love love my magplar...

my first EU toon...starting off level 10, no cp in EU Gray Host i knew i would need a toon i could tank up, do some aoe damage - but most importantly: heal really really well...

this is literally the first time i've logged on in a month where we (covenant) were not gated...took a keep, was worth 21.5k (low pop)...

tried to get a scroll back sitting at arrius but - the freaking red folks there were absolutely torturing us with siege...we caputred the mine before setting up siege there...

it was pretty fun and even actually, definitely no potatoes coming out of arrius...they were using lightening siege and lancers like crazy...the fight was going on at least a good 10 minutes when a group of yellow (who were mostly gated at the time) showed up and burned our camp, and then drove me off my siege and out of the tower...

i fairly casually went around the small work area (inside the gazebo with the fireplace), bubbled up and sprinted down the stairs and started heading

BREAK - okay, about a minute ago i was sitting in stealth somewhere between chalman and arrius - writing this - and some red necro came by, then started attacking...i keep my controller close by though

they dipped out when i responded...that was funny...

anyway, back to the story - so got pushed by a group of AD, ran by a fight between a few remaining DC engaged with way more EP...so i'm now running (tri-pots) by the south wall of arrius and i notice a EP 2k cp nightblade tailing me...they were called "chile" something or another...

passed an EP on a guar heading towards the fighting, they didn't stop, had to go around the guards so went past this wall structure south of arrius, got hit with soul tether...i think they were also trying to get me with a two hander...just bubbled up, timed my pots (health draught first with the initial hit, then tri-pots) and ult (thunderous rage) and we fought for a good few minutes...

it was cool, another EP showed up to watch, and just watched...the person i was fighting was a nightblade, they couldn't burst me down, so i won, the whole situation was really fun though...

around the larger fights, there was a little lag, not too bad...

later yesterday played my magplar in NA Gray Host...amazingly enough didn't die too much til it got late and I got sleepy and started getting sloppy

I have a magplar, magblade and mag sorc on each server...

all of them are wearing 5 or more pieces of light armor, all damage sets...

sure enough though, there are plenty of folks I can't even put a dent in their health bar...

I still have all my toons in oakensoul...playing 10 to 17 different builds within a single campaign I've standardized different aspects of putting together builds and rotations...

I have to play pretty alert with those toons, ha, my dragonknights and wardens I can pretty much play while asleep and not worry about dying

it feels like months and months since I've switched up builds...because it has been months and months

my NA stamplar has been a hybrid since I first started him...was thinking though that I already have 2 magplars, so - time to go all in on the stamplar thing (without jabs now it seems)...

ended up dressing him the same as my stam sorc: 1 pc monster (damage increase), oakensoul, automaton, and spriggans...

it plays okay, can't stand still for too long anymore...

also finally took off my calurrions legacy for my NA magblade...replacing it with order's wrath and keeping the war maiden...

another squishy toon...slotted blinding flare though so now the toon has both minor and major protection active at all times...

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but performance on NA isn't any better, lol. We're still getting insane lag, bluescreens, unable to bar swap, etc...Yes the population is higher I'm sure but performance is going to be about the same sadly

Yes of course NA has almost the same problems, but the crazy thing is that PvP on NA is still a way better experience than PvP on EU. I wouldn't go through leveling up multiple chars, farming all the gear again and starting over as a pennyless noob if EU was "about the same". I am basically building a whole new account without all the quality of life stuff that i bought and farmed over the years. And i know a lot of PS EU players are doing the same at the moment. I didn't want to believe it either, because it does not make sense. But after playing on Gray Host NA for 10 minutes with a level 10 char i decided to just keep playing there and i do not regret it.

The timeframe to play in NA is getting smaller and smaller though. Prior to 2022 you just couldn't play after 5:00 pm eastern time but now the timeframe gets worse and worse and it's pretty much any time after 1:00 eastern standard time you start not being able to cast anymore, past 3:00 eastern time is literally unplayable down to it's core. Every ability feels like it has a cast time on it. Despite the population on NA getting smaller the performance gets worse and worse and timeframe without lag and delay gets smaller and smaller

Performance on NA and EU is about the same for me, i havent really come across performance issues on either server since the summer.

NA is far more fun though and is actually competitive.

turns out I still had the juggernaut set slotted on some toons, so got my necro stam and magwarden wearing it...

wow, yeah mara's balm works really well...went to a keep FD to bloodport and the guards couldn't kill me...

the move from primarily playing EU to now mostly playing NA wasn't necessarily a performance issue for me...

for my time slot EU DC is simply gated most times I log on at night...

NA while not perfect at least has better alliance population balance...

EU Gray Host alliance population balance has been terrible for months on end...

NA - as of this moment, 1.1k AP separates first and third place...

EU - over 30k AP separates first and third place...

came across a really interesting thread within the Alliance War & Imperial City section of the forum...

the thread was discussing terrain glitches...

there was a time some years back when i got interested in the terrain glitches around cyrodiil, it's been a while though...rightly so, someone was irked about the tower by the alma ruma temple that DC can hide the scoll or hammer within...someone else mentioned some lake within one of the pact temple areas...something about porting from one of the dominion areas...not familiar with those though...

ha, that tower sure did not help us yesterday when captain badkid followed by a whole lot of angry fire ants and a few equally mean yellowjackets swarmed us down...

it was actually a petty fun fight - i've been driven off the map sooooooooo many times, it's just, well, sometimes it's the end of playing time, sometimes it's at the start and if there are enough players around - fast AP taking back the home keeps...

thinking about other alliance scroll areas and starter gates...it's been some years since alliance lock...it's hard to remember now the last time i fought for the dominion or pact...

the thing i miss most - bridge fights...

i had that exact same reaction going the other way...for me it was the sharp playstyle of the other "random" covenant players, the fact that i kept running in to the same folks over and over at certain map objectives...and, they were able to fight effectively with allies (not grouped), i've won a lot more small scale pvp fights on EU than NA...

zone chat was so much more game focused - and positive - sorry, not sorry for saying so...

the biggest difference i noticed right away - everyone kept using the "Hello" emote on the EU side...that rarely ever happened for "Hello" or "Thank you" to ever find its way in to NA DC GH zone chat...

it just is what it is...

it is getting better though - probably from all the new EU participants
