I think this will be the third different named map since the thread kicked off...I forgot who it was, but, one time someone was like:

"why in the heck do you keep changing the name of the thread?"

    I don't know :)

yeah man, I'm not too sure these new dragon named campaigns was the greatest idea...

I've been spending a bunch of time fighting against blues the last 4 months...i'm seriously starting to dislike them...

it's going to feel a little wierd for a while when I switch to DC next campaign...which will probably last about as long as it takes for me to get in a fight with AD or EP...

I’ll probably be switching over to AD next campaign tbh. Which means I’ll have to start to slowly transfer my toons over. Or just delete my lowbies and remake them on AD.
I wouldn’t mind though. I got no reason to stay on red and I’m having fun bombing them on my yellow bomber.
That or I can stay on red just to further stir the pot! 😝

I plan on making more EP toons if I can get more character slots. Already got like 11-12 AD XD

Some good battles last night with both the Pact and the Covenant coming hard for the scrolls. It was great fun with huge groups going back and forth in the open field and often getting third partied by the other teams. It was just massive brawls all around and one of the best nights I've had in Cyrodiil in a long time. I felt like I had the right gear and skills to maximize my usefulness too. I was using the healing orbs skill from the Undaunted line, which I haven't really used before. However, I wanted to try something new and that worked great when healing large groups with its AOE healing. I was also sporting Troll King which combined with those fast healing tics was incredibly powerful in helping the mighty Dominion soldiers stay alive. Plus, simply getting healed by Talion the Mighty gives my fellow AD a major boost in courage. My spell power has got the cure for what ails you. (That was a terrible pun)

I try to stay out of zone chat for the most part but I had a couple beers last night and threw a few words into that toxic pit without thinking. Oh well. I do like to make call outs to help the team though and I also like using the acronym overload, for example: "DC BB FD". I do wish Bloodmayne was named something else because BM stands for "Bowel Movement" in my head. I'll see things in zone chat about Corporal Bad Guy zerging a bowel movement. It doesn't sound pleasant.

a few of us might be switching over tbh. We’re kind of done with EP. they go on and on about transfactionals yet the moment you know who is on ep, they start kissing his behind.
Not only that but the thunder slugs, shadows, and immortals have really upped their toxicity in ZC. It’s pretty much about who zergs the hardest at this point so I figured why stay and listen to this crap when I can just bomb them?
I have to admit, I will miss knocking a certain acidic person off their high horse.

Warning, this is long. Feel free to skip it.

    To Her Majesty Queen Ayrenn,

When I arrived in Cyrodiil, The Dominion had control of all the Elder Scrolls in Cyrodiil. The downside to this was the full attention of both the Pact and the Covenant. Those *** were coming at us non-stop. The inner ring of castles, as well as Castle Brindle were in danger along with one of the scrolls kept there. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to arrive in time and we lost them. We were down to Faregyl, Blackboot, and Bloodmayne. Each with a scroll. I chose to make my stand at Blackboot due to the constant attacks from the Covenant pushing south from Vlastrus. Shortly after defending another attack, word had reached us that Bloodmayne had fallen along with the scroll. Faregyl was heavily under siege and seemed doomed as well. Three scrolls were lost and we were down to our original two plus the one here in Blackboot. Outside the castle skirmishes were already breaking out at the lumber mill and farm. It was looking grim.

After battling off another attack from the Covenant, the Pact army arrived, at least the part that hadn't escorted the scroll back to their territory. The mighty Dominion soldiers defended like heroes. There were less than a dozen Pact marauders left when over the hill appeared to be the entire Covenant Army. It was more than I had seen in one place. We had hardly put the door back on its hinges when they began smashing it down again. The battle raged and the Dominion was pushed back to a small circle around the scroll. It wasn't enough and a Covenant thief managed to grab it and made a break for the door. We rallied, your majesty, and gave chase with all we had. One of our mighty warriors was able to get the scroll on their back and word went out for them to take the scroll to Faregyl.

The gods themselves must have heard our pleas as time seemed to stop and 90% of the battlefield participants froze in place. I was one of the lucky ones as I was still able to move. There were a few others able to move as well, both on our side and the enemy. Luckily for us, the bulk of the Covenant army was locked in a blob near the front door. There were, however, some DC still able to move and they were killing our frozen defenseless soldiers. This was horrible and completely different from our heroes methodically chopping down their frozen rogues.

As I surveyed the field, I noticed our scroll carrier frozen on the wall and several small skirmishes nearby. I didn't want to lose the scroll so I ran to it and put it upon my back. Someone yelled out, "Take the scroll to Faregyl". I would have loved to, but you see, I am old now. My stamina is poor and I would not have made it. The Pact army was already on their way there and I would have been caught in the field. I had no group with me, I was alone and I did what I had to do and placed it back within Castle Blackboot. Better to have it there than in the open field. With the gods having frozen time we were able to eliminate the enemy soldiers and get the walls and doors back in place.

What happened next was completed unexpected. I, Talion the Mighty, was completely blasted with hatred by other members of the Dominion. What should have been a victory (we kept the scroll) was met with curses and rage. Shortly after the freeze, in that moment when the scroll was in the open, I had no idea who was frozen and who was not, so I acted. I thought I had done right, but the vitriol I received was incredible. I was getting absolutely pummeled by my own fellow AD. One AD soldier sent me a private message of support and I was glad for that. Tired and weary, I had to rest for the night. The next day I would be made a General.

The next day came and during a routine defense of Castle Roebeck I finally made the rank of General. I can't tell you how proud I was. I never made it a point to rank up quickly, it was the culmination of organic growth done mostly on my own. I smiled and sent out the message, "I finally made General!". The responses came in without a single "grats". "You're a spy!" "You are a traitor!" "Go away!" "Shut up traitor!" "Go back to blue, spy!" My moment of triumph was met with hatred. I didn't understand. In a moment of weakness I tried to defend myself. I'm not a spy. "Look at the sensitive spy!" they replied. "Get lost traitor!"

It shouldn't bother me, but it did. I was and am confused. I don't play politics. I don't push the leaderboards. I don't claim to be the best. I only do my best. I can't tell you how many people I've rezzed. How many forward camps I've put in place. The amount of resources I've taken single-handedly is countless. I've made epic suits of armor for our soldiers without charging them a copper. I've done all I could to be a loyal soldier, a good teammate, and a friend to those around me.

It's been years, your majesty, and I've been tiring of this war. As I look around at our ranks, those that were my friends have been long gone. Those I thought were my allies, hate me. I believe this war has moved past me. There will be others to take my place. I think I'll retire now and live a simple life at my home. As for my part in the war, I've given all I could. I hope the Dominion prevails.

    Regards,
    General Talion the Mighty

i mean that sincerely...i know it's easy for someone else to dismiss the toxicity of those whom regularly engage in zone chat...heck, it's pretty obvious many aren't exactly operating with a well balanced, educated or "kind" cpu between their ears...still it stinks when others choose to poop on you for no apparent reason - other than they have miserable, unfulfilled lives to lead once they put down their controller...

i would only add - be careful of whom you accept criticism from - it should only be from those whom you value enough to take advice from...

think of how good it'll feel to make that red - and, crush as many dominion soldiers as possible...

as much as i enjoy my fellow tamriel travelers - the truth is - there are all kinds of people in the world...

Just a bunch of trolls and haters trying to bait a good zone chat disturbance. Been a lot of that lately for some reason. Don't retire cuz of them, do it on your own terms. The veteran AD out there know you and are glad to fight by your side!

Seriously, congrats on making General! Too many players on all factions I think are somewhat bitter individuals. I have no time for it. It's a game - I work hard for the team but I won't pour hate on anyone. I don't know them, or their story. If they're not in my faction tonight, I'll try my best to kill them. If they are, I'm happy to fight alongside them.

Roll with good crowns and guilds that don't spew hatred 24/7 and have as much fun as you can taking down the enemy.

I've noticed a lot more queue time this campaign on the AD side. A Q60 on a regular Tuesday night is something I don't think I've seen since last year when AD was winning all the time.

Kind of sucks as I got used to parking my characters in Vivec and logging straight in but I suppose it's a good trade-off if we win the campaign.

We have had queues on the EP side every night as well, but there doesn't seem to be that many more players when in game.
They may have stealth changed the caps.
AD side I can believe it as every encounter is a least 2 full groups of AD.

Gonna try to double dip on Transmutation stones, since once Elsweyr comes out, the campaign will end again. Our ends.. Monday? Somewhere between Sunday and Monday. I've got Siroria pieces and some stuff on my StamNB to transmute.

BTW, woke up at 7:10am this morning to hangout in Cyro before work, map was totally night capped by yellow. Blue and Reds scrolls are pretty much all down south with LOL_IMKING as emp.

I'll be on tonight to try and farm our keeps for AP.

Was it confirmed by ZOS that we get another round of end of campaign rewards when the patch drops next Monday? I've been wondering about the campaign transition process but haven't found any info on it.

It's in a thread on the campaign section. When Elsweyr came to PC the names of the campaigns changed, last time they were changed (Morrowind) with an update that campaign closed and we got our Rewards early.

Vivec campaign ended yesterday at around 12pm EST. We get Elsweyr on June 4th, so we have about roughly a week, and then Vivec will close again.

All my Relequen is transmuted and most of my Siroria is too :) Just need a few more for my monster sets and jewelry

    that's hilarious :)

kind of looking forward to starting up two new characters over on the EU server...

still debating to what level I'm going to grind for XP with them...my other 5 toons are all level 40...just to make gearing up simpler - I'd like to have the 2 new guys catch up to the other 5 as soon as possible...

will probably craft them some training gear, use XP scrolls and do some random battlegrounds...

ugh, it'll still probably be a few months before they're able to catch up...oh well...

Campaign scoring did get a slight change where Keeps are worth 5 points compared to 1 for everything else except Scrolls which are 10 points.
