Not trying to bump heads with you or anything..but I see/hear comments like this a lot.
I wouldn't necessarily say dungeons are a waste of time (or PvE in general). As the vast majority of content in ESO is PvE (even in cyrodil). I come across a lot of players with sort of the same mindset, especially during my time in DR. That mindset that PvE doesn't really exist/matter/whatever. I am not trying to belittle anyone or be some "elitest arsehole" when I say this, but I think EVERY player should try to explore every aspect of this game before they try to say something like: "this game has no content, PvE sux...etc."
I see that more often than anything. Will running trials or vet dungeons help you directly in PvP? No, not really. It will help you acquire certain gear (most gear great for PvP can be bought on guild store anyways). It will teach you (especially vet trials) about fundamental aspects of the game which you may not understand if you have basically just been playing PvP. I think playing both PvE and PvP is extremely beneficial for EVERY player. Though I have been ridiculed for attending Vet MoL instead of running with a group in Cyrodil...which is kind of hilarious. But to each his own I guess. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. I would rather experience something first hand before forming an opinion about it.
