i have a friend permabanned, and only thing he used with game was WTFast
i know it maybe many things you can banned for, but theoretycally, if he really didnt do ANYTHING except WTFast connection with ESO, can it be the reason of a ban by any chance?

    No idea what WTFast is.
    What does it do?
Is it a third party program? If yes, the programm does nto even have to "do" something.
Just having it active inside ESO's code is enough.

Bans caused by WTFast isn't new in mmos. I guess that's what you get for sharing single IP to many people.

Just because he told you he got banned for using WTFast doesn't necessarily mean it's the truth. One of WTFast's most popular supported games is ESO so I highly doubt it's what got him banned.

    For anyone that doesn't know what the program is it's simply this;
WTFast is the Gamers Private Network (GPN)! Founded in 2009 by a group of MMO gamers and technology professionals, WTFast is dedicated to delivering the best gaming connection and experience possible for all MMO Gamers! Based in Kelowna, Canada with an office in the San Francisco, Bay Area, WTFast serves an 800 million global user, MMO gaming community. WTFast now serves over 800 MMO games, with users on every continent and in virtually every country.

Googled it . It's a out source connectivity service to lower ping . I have no idea how it works or if it tampers with codes .

If "but theoretically" is in your logic, the ban was probably deserved.

support ticket? Not really sure it'll work. Tried one when the game first droped & got hit with cu in 150 (days).

Contact WTFast if its a paid service see if they can negotiate with Zos to get offical recognition as an add-on to help make their servers suck less. Thus allowing a repeal. But seeing how, naw let me not...

My RT-AC5300 came with a subscription built into the router. I didn't notice much of a difference so I stopped using it. I also play from multiple locations throughout the day and I've never had an issue.

    YMMV?

Did a bit of looking, its possible it could have triggered an auto ban for doing it I guess its possible for some mmos to do this. Main reason is its basically using a vpn service and it will triger the auto ban do to coding.. Most of the mmos I think allow WTFast but it will ban the person automatically for using them because of the coding. Some Mmo companies especially ones that use blacklisting, won't allow Vpn because it allows people from banned regions to play the game in some cases by faking the ip address as coming from a location where it is allowed. So basically its possible the vpn was the reason. Yeah sometimes the game forces you to put in a special code if the ip address appears to have changed.

I imagine the ip address that Vtfast uses might have triggered the ban by mistake. Because of programming to prevent account sharing when other players might be using the same ip address that Vtfast might generate and it detects you using that ip address when you had one that was far away from that ip address location. I don't know its something they have to answer. But basically they would have to detail the use of VTfast to get the ban removed if this was the reason. My advice is to be careful or not use it at all if it can get you banned even by accident.
It can also be caused by coding to detect third party software. Which it might be considered to be and that might be the possible reason.

I don't think WTFast is even worth using. I've had free subs with a few boards, routers etc, and it's never improved anything for me.

It's just more gamer's snake oil.

It doesn't always work. If your connection is already good, there's nothing left to be improved.

I live in remote place little bit far away from civilization. If you come here I can show you how much pingboosters can help improving my ping. Though I don't even use wtfast, I use another.

Used it briefly but there is only one main pipe for it all to go through from NZ to the US anyway so noticed little to no benefit. Not banned for using it, unless somethings changed in the last 3-4 months
