@Qyrk Please don't /facepalm too hard. It seems that on Live (and on PTS) all 4 of the DSA books you listed are found in NORMAL difficulty but not veteran. Please check and see if they are there for you on normal on Live.

Is the copy of Sublime Brazier in the AD base glowing on Live? (it is present in the EP base, just doesn't glow on Live - haven't got to checking it yet on PTS)

Adding Admission Denied to our list of Quest Area books, I didn't see any books laying around in Arenthia that were originally inside the districts.

Yeah they have been really working on this. In their defense too, we had been adding more and more books to the list right up until the PTS came online:p

If anyone on the PTS could go look for "Chastisement from Zimmeron" "A Warning from Zimmeron" and maybe "Pact Recruitment" and "Conquer Cyrodiil for the Pact". I found the "Letter from Grand Warlord Zimmeron" at northern Morrowind gate just east of the scroll temple Chim, but I haven't had any luck finding the others. I am not sure if the last two are only found in a base - they may be found elsewhere as well and thus didn't need fixing. (I am EP and I have some books that are found in other alliance bases BUT that isn't their only location)

Hmm, well the EP one is now glowing on PTS, guess I could make some premades AD/DC and go check those too!

We're currently checking everything reported and making fixes where necessary. We hope to review and update the appropriate books before PTS goes Live or soon thereafter.

It should be noted that some of the reported books are already accessible outside of their respective areas. For example Silver Dawn Contract is the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary.

It should also be noted that as long as a book is in an accessible spot, we aren't going to make extra copies of them elsewhere. For example, the Experiment Journal in the Vile Manse is already completely accessible so there isn't a need to make a post-quest version elsewhere.

Glad somebody is finally fixing all those bugged books! So, first of all : THANKS !!!

I bugged the Experiment Journal some time ago on live as the table was devoid of any item (except the glow of the non-visible book). Turned out that after going a couple rooms further into the dungeon and then heading back up, the table populated itself and I was able to click the book. So it might be a graphical delay bug.

I've recently (past few weeks) noticed a few places where book-glow was visible, a title gave info about a book to be read, but when I selected "E" was told the book was not able to be interacted with (appeared to be below the ground level slightly). Is this being fixed as well?

Thank you very much for this updated list! There's so many books that I needed that got fixed!

I've also been collecting these books since it first launched and I've noticed that some of the books I haven't gotten isn't on this list. Most of these are probably due to not registering upon reading them during quests. I'll also note I'm on the MAC platform in case it makes a difference.

Arrest Writ, Hew's Bane Bookshelf: Somehow this didn't register upon reading it in my inventory while doing the quest and I cannot find it anywhere after the quest.
Hadmal's Journal, Page 7, Mysteries and Clues: Never registered during the quest "Torn Asunder".
Books 1, 2 and 3 (Larelleis, Morilatta and Wenayasille), Mysteries and Clues: Never registered during the quest "Puzzle of the Pass". I believe it was three statues that are now destroyed and not there, hence making the books unavailable.
Eyes of the Queen Only, Notes and Memos: Never registered during the quest "Hushed Whispers".
Note from Commander Derre, Notes and Memos: Either I never found it or it never registered. XD It's been that long. I believe it was part of a quest in The Lion's Den, The Rift.

Omg, I must be blind, will go back into Vile Manse some more and be more diligent!

I will update our List to exclude books that have one location but were suspiciously missing from another (such as the FG "Torn Note from Jessen" and the DSA books only available on normal and not veteran.

Would you be able to comment whether the following books exist in game (live or pts)please? (don't have to tell us where, just that they do/don't exist) They are books we can't seem to locate and if they are currently 'missing' we won't keep scouring the land for them:)

I've also been collecting these books since it first launched and I've noticed that some of the books I haven't gotten isn't on this list. Most of these are probably due to not registering upon reading them during quests. I'll also note I'm on the MAC platform in case it makes a difference.

Arrest Writ, Hew's Bane Bookshelf: Somehow this didn't register upon reading it in my inventory while doing the quest and I cannot find it anywhere after the quest.
Snowmead’s Missive, Notes and Memos: Never registered during the quest "Labor Dispute".
Gamwyn’s Journal, Personal Journals: Not too sure about this one. Anyone know?
Irgnar’s Journal, Personal Journals: Not too sure about this one. Anyone know?
Heart of Valenwood, The World and Its Creatures: Not too sure about this one. I think it was part of the quest "Striking at the Heart".
Vosh Rakh Orders, Wrothgar Writings: Either I never found it or it just never registered in "Chambers Of Loyalty".

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I didn't know which quest the "Eyes of the Queen Only" was related to, being able to search the quest, read the quest text, led me to the book.

Note from Commander Derre, Notes and Memos: Either I never found it or it never registered. XD It's been that long. I believe it was part of a quest in The Lion's Den, The Rift. (it isn't present with the quest or without, seems to have gone missing)

Books 1, 2 and 3 (Larelleis, Morilatta and Wenayasille), Mysteries and Clues: Never registered during the quest "Puzzle of the Pass". I believe it was three statues that are now destroyed and not there, hence making the books unavailable.

Plea to Maximinus, Notes and Memos: Not too sure about this one. Anyone know? I have hunted all over Cyrodiil for this one; it is related to another note "An Irate Employer" that is written by Maximinus To Foreman Albanus refusing his request for guards, this book is found at an abandoned lumber camp south of Wilminn's Winery. My thoughts are that the Plea should be found somewhere in an Imperial Camp...but so far no luck

Adainaz’s Journal, Research Notes: Not too sure about this one. Anyone know? Best guess was that it is in veteran DSC (aka DSC II), but so far no one has located it. On the PTS I cannot solo the mob of Dwemer in front of the final boss door to check if it was present now.

A Less Rude Song, Words of the Poets: Not too sure about this one. Anyone know? My personal theory for this one is that it is one of the books on IC bookshelves with the bad respawn rate, but as I have not yet been able to find it, it could be anywhere!

As for Adainaz’s Journal, Research Notes: When the PTS first updated, my group went through Vet DSC II and I didn't spot a book at all, but I may of just missed it. It honestly just seems like a tougher version of Vet DSC I. I'll keep an eye out though if we go through it again

Wow, last time I went through Vile Manse (Live) there was nothing on that table at all, this time (LIve) there was the book and all kinds of implements!

@Rainchii The biggest difference between DSC 1 and DSC II should be the bosses, notably the giant dwemer spider (and his room) are only accessible in DSC II. We do need to check on all difficulties as well, since some books have been seen on normal and not veteran. I solo'd up to the Dwemer Swarm and didn't see it. I wondered if it was in the hall to the Dwemer Spider boss or in its room somewhere.

I have difficulties with two books, witch they are not in your list :

- Brief letter to an aldarch. (normally Auridia 38,81x29,02) : The paper glows, but is not interactable.
- Torug at the Summit, Complete Translation (normally Sorrow 33,2x23,7) : nothing is here.

In Coldharbour, on the Wreck of the Bonnie Spriggan near the Lost Fleet on the outer landing before going in the door is a glowing book on the floorboard that cannot be interacted with.

Same thing with a book on the Winsome Lass, also glowing on floorboards but not interactable.

P.S. Just saw this is a PTS thread, and that info is Live server... so disregard if necessary.

Yea it's a breadcrumb quest I think and I probably skipped it, as is possible with many of them. I guess the book/note doesn't appear under those conditions, even though I have done all story quests in Shadowfen. There are only 2 books in that place for me, one on each of the beds at the end of the hall.

Also, another book that is still bugged:
Smuggler's Note in Forgotten Crypts, Deshaan, still doesn't register as being read in my Eidetic Memory after reading it again on pts. EDIT: Ahhh lol, I guess there are 2 versions of this note as the one in Mathiisen is the one you need to read.

Ok, now one that really is still bugged:
The Grand Sermonizer's Journal in Gold Coast Tomes, the estate where it is located is still a quest area and I haven't found another location after quest completion in either the DB sanctuary or around the estate itself.

Found Permit of Trade in Wrothgar at the start of the small bridge as you walk to Orsinium from the first wayshrine. Where there's a large broken aquaduct above you.

@Kyoma Did you check on the current PTS build for the Grand Sermonizer's Journal? Is the area still quest locked?

I am currently working through our list of bugged books; I have to re-do quests or re-create the situations on the template character so it will take me longer than checking them did in 2.6.0.

I will label all the books checked in 2.6.2 with that label in the first post so if you see something in the bugged list with no 2.6.2 I have not yet checked that book!

A Perfect Score, Albus' Journal and White Rose Guard's Journal are all fixed for me in 2.6.2. I dont remember what choice I made at the prison but on live all three books are phased out while on pts they aren't.

Some more books I found on pts that are bugged on live (for me)

Admission Denied in Notes and Memos, found near center of Arenthia
Not That Bad in Diaries and Logs, same as above.
List of Targets in Plots and Schemes, found it just outside the Ravenwatch Castle near the statue at the top of the stairs.
On the Matter of the Prisoners in Notes and Memos, no longer phased out after quest, same location as during quest.
Valeric's Journal in Mysteries and Clues, after quest it is found outside Valeric's house on the ground.
Uela's Song in Words of the Poets, no longer phased out, found near the statue a little bit south of the Jackdaw Cove marker on the map.
Note from Orlugash in Notes and Memos, this one is also fixed as I was able to find it on pts, but I dont recall if the quest area is now accessible or if I found it somewhere else. remembered where I found it, on a barrel just outside the wooden door where you exit the ruins near the end of the quest.

Two more fixes: Letter to Artisan's Craftworks and Lieutenant Jascien's Last Missive, they can now both be found in their 'final location' even before starting any of the related quests. In light of this I'm gonna do Shadowfen with a new char to double check conditions surrounding Eyes of the Queen Only.

Edit: But to clarify, they are also fixed if you had skipped the associated quest on live as they appeared for my main too.

Edit2: Ok, so Eyes of the Queen Only is still bugged indeed. The thing I find so odd is that, right now atleast, you pick up "Three Tender Souls" basically as you first enter Shadowfen yet this 'prequel quest' is at a place you get sent to afterwards...

Destroyer's Rest: Words of the Poets, as you enter and go right you'll see a tombstone (of sorts) near all the pots
Letter from Minique: Letters and Missives: just outside of the 'mine' entrance
Tancano's Journal: Plots and Schemes: same as above
Excavation of Ouze: Daedric Cults: not a quest area anymore
The March Explored, Chapter 1: The World and Its Creatures: on a table bottom floor in the first tree on the right as you enter the Fort Grimwatch area from the south. Could probably use a less confusing description but I'll let you worry about that....

I guess i should check more often! I just also did the Letter to Artisan Craftworks, Lieutenant Jascien's and Eyes of the Queen only investigation too!

I found that "Eyes of the Queen" is indeed bugged. Double checked on a new template that getting the quest and turning it in puts the book at the location at the bottom of the guild hall stairs and it still does. I completed the skin stealer quest chain (before getting the Eyes of the Queen quest 'hushed whispers') and it didn't appear when that was complete either.
